    Panna cotta
    Michelle C.

Food was good, but took a very long time. We stopped by here before our flight back home. We had a lot of time, but the wait for the entree really pushed us. I ordered the caesar salad, short rib flautas, and panna cotta. The caesar salad was really good, I enjoyed how different it was, the roasted garlic-jalapeño dressing was great. For entrees, it took so long. It made sense because there was 7 of us, but 30 minutes passed. It turns out the reason why it took so long is because one of us ordered a chicken dish. Chicken takes a long time, but we all wished we knew ahead of time. Finally when the entree came, it was good, but it wasn't worth the wait. Lastly, the panna cotta was different and good. However, the churros were much better. Service was okay, but ambiance was nice due to the view. The food was overall good, but the wait was insane. We don't recommend ordering chicken if you have somewhere else to go right after.

    Tacos Gobernador

The service was great as the staff was attentive. But the food itself was terrible considering their price. You are literally paying just for the view and thats it. In short: dont recommend. More detailed review: The drinks are decent and are priced as what you'd expect for any restaurant by the water especially in brickell. Margaritas were good and so were the Moscow Mule I got the tacos gobernador and it was disgusting. It came rolled up in a tortilla with microwaved shrimp and tossed with cheese. The sauce provided (spicy) wasnt enough to help me eat the dish leading me to asking for the waiter to get me more from the kitchen. It came with poorly chopped vegetables that seemed to be green pepper that honestly didnt even do anything except for filling the plate. I could forgive the dish if it tasted good but it didnt. The shrimp looked microwaved without having ANY SPECK OF SEASONING or even it being GRILLED/CHARRED. You'd think they would throw at least some black pepper or salt but no not at all. The tortilla that wraps it together was cold too. You'd think this food would've been made by someone who's only experience eating Mexican food is by going to taco bell. No seasoning, no spices, no love. Just thrown together effortlessly knowing you will pay the Brickell tax. If you want a genuine experience eating Mexican food go somewhere else. This restaurant's purpose is to attract undeveloped taste buds and first dates for its scenery.

Food and drinks were good. I recommend the lychee martini . The only thing is that there no free parking and it's kinda tricky to park on the street since is inside the hotel so . Just valet 35 $

Excellent night with friends! We order margaritas and mezcalitas and they were on point. The guac and chips delicious, and the octopus was perfect. Music and ambience were great!! Service was ok, it was a busy night and we had to wait for a few minutes to order 2nd and 3 rounds.

Cantina La Veinte is a beautiful restaurant located in Brickell right next to the W. They have convenient valet parking right in front of the restaurant. There is an upstairs indoor space with a beautiful bar, but downstairs is so whimsical. The water view is beautiful and the open air environment was perfect. We were out on a cooler night and they had heaters available as well. We were a table of 12 and everyone was very happy with their dishes. We started out with guacamole and chips, tuna tostadas, queso fundido and short rib flautas. Half of the table ate family style and shared several dishes, and the other half of the table ordered their own. Everyone enjoyed their options. I had the octopus which was good and my margarita was perfect. We really enjoyed listening to the live music with the strolling mariachi entertainers. We were there on a weeknight so it was not as crowded, and we did not feel rushed at all. We really enjoyed our time at the restaurant.

My team dined here for our holiday lunch and it was quite nice. Upon arriving, although we had a reservation, the staff was quite frazzled, there was literally no one in the restaurant but they were unaware of where to seat us. That was an odd vibe because we literally stood for about 15 minutes until they figured it out. Our waiter was a delight though, very friendly, with amazing recommendations, you could tell that there was a passion for what he did. The food was amazing, from the guacamole to the cheese apps, I got steak, seasoned very well and cooked to perfection. The drinks are large and the desserts are delicious, once you get past the awkward host staff it's a pretty good experience!

Had a great time at this restaurant. Better than expected. The view was great at the lower floor. I didn't enjoy my drinks, something was missing in the margarita and it felt like it was watered down. The appetizer with guacamole we ordered were very good. The steak tacos I ordered were tasty and fulfilling. At first I thought they were too small. But next time I'll create my own tacos like my friend did and they were even better al pastor. And the entree with rice also looked very good too. We were in rush to get to a concert so didn't have time for dessert. But I liked it and I'll visit again. But drinks should be better!!!

I would like to make a reservation for 9 people on July 8th and when I called I was told its a minimum $900 fee?

I called for a reservation for 9 and they told me there isn't a minimum.

Siguen aún los miércoles de happy hour? O que días y hora de la semana tienen happy hour? Gracias!

Creo que es jueves y viernes de 5-7 PM.

Do they have mariachi bands here, if so what days?

They do!! And they're great! I've been three times there and always on Wednesday because the have margarita specials, call them and ask what other days they have mariachis

    Is there mariachis for brunch?

    No just a Dj

Do they accommodate groups of 30? Thinking of celebrating my bday here and every place I've checked charges me extra for that amount of people

They have plenty of space, so if you plan i believe yes!

Should I make a reservation if I host a happy hour with 7 to 10 people?

Hey AK, I would definitely suggest making a reservation as this place is very popular for happy…

Hoy tuvimos la oportunidad de sentarnos en la parte de arriba, y la mesera Jennifer fue muy amable y agradable con un trato muy cálido... la comida como siempre muy rica y el ambiente muy padre!…

Parking was a bit challenging due to the limited number of spaces, but once we walked inside, the experience more than made up for it. We were warmly greeted by Carolina, who also became our server. She was incredibly patient and took her time walking us through the menu, explaining each dish and how everything is prepared. Her dedication to customer satisfaction truly stood out, and we hope management recognizes what an asset she is. Carolina proudly shared that every item on the menu is made in‑house, and it absolutely shows. My wife ordered the Quesadilla de Pollo with a side of Arroz Mexicano and couldn't stop talking about the exceptional flavors. I chose the Tostada al Pastor, a small Tortilla Soup, and a side salad. Everything was delicious, but the Tortilla Soup was the star of the meal--a perfect example of why in‑house preparation matters. Since we're not from the area, we weren't sure where to go for lunch, and we truly lucked out choosing Don Maguey--and having Carolina as our server. Thank you, Carolina. When I looked 20 minutes after at my credit card statement read I had been charged $77 and change pending a potential tip on top of that, even with tip included it is still over approximately $7 what I signed off for. We called to determine the prices of each individual meal and "the manager" was stumbling to tell us the prices for everything. Even with the fake numbers that were given to us it still didn't add up correctly. I remember the prices for the 3 meals my family and I ordered and I remember what the check said. I let it be because maybe they need more than I do. As for the food, I'm born and raised on the border of Mexico and although I must say it does scream authenticity especially on appearance the meat is bland, and that "Mexican rice" is by far the worst tasting rice I've had. For a casual person that likes Mexican food you may like it, but if you know what you're tasting you will not. Also, they didn't have 4 different things on the menu available ultimately leading me to have to go with my 5th option. It is very expensive for what it is, and even more expensive when your waitress manipulates the system.

Mauricio was at the bar and we definitely missed being under his attention by not sitting there. Eliezer (the Venezuelan waiter from Mérida) took care of us in the dining room. Both are always very friendly and attentive. This time we decided to sit in the dining room because we were a group of three and had a lot to talk about. The place has 4 TVs and we were able to enjoy the France vs Spain match. We all ordered La Tropical Draft beer, a light, smooth, and very refreshing blonde. In total we had 16 beers . We shared nachos with grilled steak, which were very good (they pour the melted cheese right at the table). We also ordered tripa tacos well toasted (that's the technique) as we requested, and they came out excellent. Note: They have different promotions or offers depending on the day, not a regular happy hour variety, so it's good to be aware of that. The restaurant offers a good variety of 8 salsas: Sirloin, Chips, Guacamole, Verde, Vicente, Pastor, Chilanga, and Asada. Good atmosphere, pleasant service, and tasty food. We'll definitely keep coming back.

When you walk in, you place your order and pay for it and take a table number. You need to find your own table. Our service was pretty quick, despite how busy the restaurant was. My cold brew was very good and a nice start to the meal. Our guacamole came next and it was nicely styled with pomegranate, cheese and cilantro on top. Yum! The real star of the show for me was this unassuming looking House Club Sandwich that was to die for. Seriously ... it was so good. I ordered mine without the ham, and it was divine! I wish i lived closer. I'm already dreaming of coming back. My son ordered some kind of short rib/beef burrito and it disappeared so quickly I didn't even get to snap a photo. Before going, we called the restaurant to ask if they would be showing the World Cup games, and we were told they would be showing all of them. Based on that, we expected a good viewing experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. There aren't enough TVs, many of the views are obstructed, and we actually had to move to the bar just to see part of the game. Even then, the music was so loud that we couldn't hear the match at all. When we asked the manager about it, he told us that ownership's instructions were to play music instead of the game's audio. That was especially surprising considering this is a Mexican-owned restaurant and the match was a Mexico World Cup game. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. To be fair, the restaurant was only about half full, so this wasn't a situation where the staff was overwhelmed by a packed house or unusually heavy demand. I was there with two female friends. I ordered a martini while my friends simply asked for water. The bartender reacted as if asking for water was somehow an inconvenience. We weren't even served chips and salsa until we repeatedly waved down members of the staff and specifically requested them. The bartenders consistently ignored us. My friends waited nearly 20 minutes before anyone came back so they could order their martinis. We later ordered guacamole and the Leña skirt steak. The guacamole arrived promptly, but the steak never did. When we asked another bartender to check on it, he looked in the system and told us there was no food order entered at all. This was unbelievable because the original bartender had described the dish, asked how we wanted the steak cooked, and appeared to take the order. He simply never entered it. When we complained to the manager about the missing food, he told us the kitchen was already closed but that he would "make an exception" and have the steak prepared for us. That response really upset me because this wasn't us asking for special treatment--it was the restaurant trying to correct its own mistake. I told him to simply cancel the order. He then said not to worry because he wouldn't charge us for it, as if not charging for a meal would somehow make up for the experience we had just endured. I declined the offer, but he responded by saying he would bring it anyway and that if we didn't want it, we could just leave it there. To me, that response was even more dismissive and completely missed the point. Throughout the evening, the bartenders were inattentive, dismissive, and consistently rude. Their attitude completely overshadowed what had always been one of my favorite restaurants in Coconut Grove. By halftime, we had simply had enough. Instead of continuing what should have been a fun night, we decided to leave the restaurant and go home, where we watched the rest of the Mexico match in the comfort of my home. Sadly, that turned out to be the best part of the night. I'm writing this review because I know Koko is capable of much better. My previous visits have always been enjoyable, which made this experience even more disappointing. However, if you're planning to watch a World Cup match there, I would strongly recommend choosing another venue. While they may tell you they'll be showing the game, the viewing experience is poor, the game audio is replaced with loud music, and based on our visit, the service was, without question, the worst I've experienced there since the restaurant opened. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously because Koko has always been one of my favorite restaurants, and I'd like to be able to recommend it again. Unfortunately, after this experience, I simply can't.

From the moment we arrived, we were seated immediately. Our server, Francisco, was exceptional, and Exantus, the server assistant, was equally impressive. They worked together like a well-oiled machine. Exantus constantly made sure our table was cleared of empty plates and glasses, and he kept the table dry by wiping away the condensation from our drinks. With the Miami heat, that little extra attention made a big difference. Francisco provided outstanding service. He was friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He answered all of our questions, offered great recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The server was phenomenal, and the food tasted great, though portions run a little small for the price. One thing that caught me off guard: most of the table ordered tacos and enchiladas, but when the plates arrived, the "tacos" were essentially flautas and the "enchiladas" were more like tacos (the photo shown is the enchiladas). Naming aside, both dishes were delicious. We were also celebrating a birthday, and the staff sang for her and brought out a complimentary dessert--hands down the best brownie dessert I've ever had. The drinks were good, the food came out hot, and the ambiance was wonderful, with friendly, kind staff throughout. What did we order? Chorizo Queso: Not your traditional dipping queso, but FULL of flavor and the chorizo was great, decent portion. The table loved this. Comes with some warm fresh purple corn tortillas! 9/10 Guacamole: Nothing extraordinary, standard guac, I wish there was more guac and chips! The tortillas these come with are the same as the queso but fried and uncut. A little different but it was a nice change! 7/10 Chicken and Chorizo Enchiladas: Not your standard enchilada that you may be used to! Full of flavor though and everything was cooked very well! 8/10! Drinks: 10/10 Fair warning: expect a bit of sticker shock when the bill arrives.

The purpose of a food crawl is to theoretically try a variety of bites, typically with one theme…read more This was the case la few Sundays back for a taco crawl UYE. Having stayed till closing of two music week events the prior to evenings, this was in my mind a great recovery meal. Despite the name, this restaurant is not just Mexican, but actually fusion with Uruguayan cuisine. The main courses focused on that area, and the tacos had a lot of exotica such as ear and tongue. Given my preferences, and my stomach, the only basic options that I would get were there Al Pastor and chicken tacos, five dollars each. The menu said that they had alcohol, but apparently not on that week, supposedly for some bureaucratic issue. The tacos were served with just the tortilla and the meat, along with a basket of fixings, such as cilantro and line. No complaints of the food really, the tacos were actually well seasoned and for my taste buds made even better with the hot sauce that left a yummy after burn. When I went to the bathroom, the handle on the door was damaged. Besides that, in the end I was not feeling the place especially that there was a mandatory gratuity.

We were starving and ordered quickly, got our food after just a few short minutes along with two trays of sauces and fixings. The quesabirria was INSANELY delicious, and the tacos were too. We enjoyed a glass of maracuya which is always so nice. Friendly and quick service on top of yummy food makes it an easy restaurant to keep going back to.

I have heard so much around this place and I can confidently say it lives up to the hype!…read more Finding parking nearby is a bit tricky as it is only street parking and there's only outside dining available. The music selection is fire though and I was jamming out the whole time while waiting for my food. I complimented them on the music selection and they mentioned the owner is dominican and puerto rican which explained the great music selection. I was helped out by Adrian and his service was helpful in finding what dishes to order. I took my food to go and it was piping hot, definitely made fresh to order which I enjoyed. The nachos were what I was most eager to try as they are all the rage on social media. They lived up to the hype and that nacho cheese is absolute gold. I love that it's served in a pizza box. It just makes it iconic. It travels well and everything was still hot when I got home. The Al Pastor taco was just okay, nothing to write home about but now the steak burrito was really really good. I love that they don't have rice in their burritos and instead replace it with potatoes, which is absolutely delicious. They give two different types of salsas with your order plus limes and the green salsa is unreal. Add it to everything for a flavor boost! All in all this place is fire and if you're craving nachos, this is definitely the place you should come to get your fix!

Ever since I tried their steak Caesar salad I've been obsessed. That was my usual from there for 5 years. 2 nights ago we ordered from uptown and when we got our order I was so angry I didn't want to even eat my food. 1. Steak literally looked like wet dog food 2. They no longer do the frisée salad instead It's just plain old Romaine lettuce 3. For some reason they stopped giving their salsa now which was the highlight of my order 4. The container is so small and the egg was so hot that it melted all the Parmesan cheese and it was just a nasty glob 5. The eggs were so over boiled that they had that grey tint on the yolk and smelled horrible 6. 2 salads cost almost $50 so jokes on us Never again!!! I've literally banned uptown from our house. The audacity to charge so much for a mid salad topped with nasty dog food looking "steak"
