    Steak fajitas and guacamole
    Adison

This is a good place to go for dinner but I was disappointed with lunch. Everything was overly salty and the chips were cooked in old oil, so they tasted bad. The guacamole they make is good my fajitas were good but not as good as they were when I had then for dinner last month.

This is considered upscale Mexican food and it WAS upscale in regard to decor, service (Tory was AMAZING!), food (the relleno de camarones had layers of flavors!! and the salsa was on point), and drinks (the cucumber chili marg was crisp & refreshing ). The only un-upscale part of the meal was the fly buzzing around my food.

I have to start this review by first complementing Luci! First impression speaks volumes and this is $1 million hostess here! Her humor, genuine, smile, and professionalism go beyond reproach! Logan was our server and I have to say he was great! Very patient as the four of us kept talking and he wanted to know if we were ready to order and when we realized we were talking so much he just handled it like a true champ. Gave us our time to catch up and then came back. His knowledge of the menu was outstanding, and his recommendations were spot on. Each of us interestingly enough had tacos. The traditional taco was a bit salty from my taste, but had good flavor. The sirloin taco was outstanding. The restaurant is clean, warm and inviting. What really sets it off though is the outstanding customer service received by Logan and Luci!!! They truly made this a special visit

I attended a friends birthday party at Cantina Laredo in early March. We had the entire patio to ourselves. Our server Ali was fabulous! We had two tables of folks and she kept up with our food and drink orders like a champ (and with a smile)! I tried the ceviche and it was zesty and delish! The table made guac was fabulous, smooth and creamy. We also had a large variety of tacos which were also tasty. I highly recommend stopping in and giving them a try!

My 1st visit to Cantina Laredo. It was a friends Birthday. Set up was in a protected side of patio which was perfect on the windy Sunday afternoon. Our server Alli was so awesome. She prepared table side several orders of Guacamole with special.l request. Served a tray full of Margaritas for a Birthday Toast. And then more drinks as we all love to celebrate! Then came an array of Tacos with beans and rice. All was delicious. I can't wait to return!

We came for a work lunch with about 20 of us. We had the private room off the dining room which had plenty of space for us. The service was quick for a group our size but most of the restaurant was slow since it was a Friday afternoon around 1:30. They had a good selection of different options on the lunch menu and the pricing was good for the portion sizes. A lot of us got enchiladas and tacos and a fair amount got the Chipotle chicken. The waiter was on his A game and got all food and drink orders correct which can be tricky with a large group. Nothing to complain about- we had a really good lunch

Always a great stop during shopping at town center. The chips and salsa are delicious. The bar tender is always attentive and busy! During the weekday lunch time it's not too busy. Recommend sitting at the bar for fast service!

Cantina Laredo is one of my favorite places to eat. When we lived in Jacksonville, one of my friends introduced me to this wonderful restaurant and I fell in love with it. I love that you get a warm and cold salsa (warm is my favorite of the two) and my favorite dish is the Enchiladas Suizas. I don't live near here anymore but any time I see one (I spotted one in Dallas airport before) I make it a point to stop in and eat. The service is always good (table side quac!) and the atmosphere is always on point. Truly one of my favorite places! The picture I've added was my birthday brownie from my last visit!

This is our third try one time every year for the last three years to see if this place has improved. Why? Because we are Texas Tex-Mex fans, and we love their restaurants in Arkansas and in Texas. But the one here in Jacksonville leaves me speechless and not in a good way. I recall writing a Google review over five years ago about how outdated and dirty this restaurant was. Nothing has changed. After five years, nothing has changed. It's still dirty and in need of a desperate renovation. It makes me sad because they are sitting on a gold mine being located in St. John's Town Center with Jacksonville having no higher end Mexican food restaurant. And that's what this restaurant is in other states. They keep the crowd coming in because of its location, but the ambience and the decor and the food are severely lacking. Our waitress was fantastic. And the manager was good because she did address our concerns. However, I only took one picture because I was so exasperated and that is of this dish. I requested the pork Carnitas to be substituted for a fresh grilled chicken breast. Please look at the chicken. Not only is it not a fresh grilled chicken breast, but it's a pressed chicken breast - not a real chicken breast . It's more like a deli meat chicken breast cubed into my dish. All I had to do is look at it and send it back immediately. We also enjoyed the cheese dip and the tableside guacamole. The cheese dip was not true cheese dip, but rather a cheese dip mixture. But I have to give kudos because the tableside guacamole always rocks. It was delicious. Here's to hoping that the restaurant sees my yelp review. Bring back the Cantina Laredo quality that I know from other states. Return to your high dining upscale Mexican experience. Update your decor and cash in on the true Cantina Laredo offering!

I came here for happy hour with my husband and a friend on a Friday evening. It was not too crowded. Their happy hour is mon- Friday 4-7 PM. They serve happy hour food and drinks at the bar and happy hour drinks anywhere else around the restaurant. You get free chips and salsa. The atmosphere was nice and service was quick. Not a bad place for fun happy hour experience!

Hey, guess what? Cantina Laredo has an awesome patio! A bunch of my friends went there this month and loved it. We were tucked away in a quiet corner, tons of room, and didn't bother anyone else. They treated us great, starting with margaritas for a toast. Then, fresh guacamole at our table, amazing ceviche and tacos with all sorts of various meats and gorgeous garden toppings plus rice and beans. Seriously, they were fantastic, and I'd totally go back. They even offer $2 Mimosas and $2 Great Bloody Marys!

Even though we had a reservation, it didn't seem to make a difference. We waited about 15 minutes just to find a host or hostess to be seated. During that time, we saw several other groups leave because no one was available to greet or seat them. It wasn't the best first impression and definitely set the tone for the visit. Once we were seated, the food was excellent. You can really tell that everything is made from scratch, and the quality and freshness stood out. The Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts, topped with garlic aioli and Parmesan cheese, were delicious and packed with flavor. I also ordered the Kale Caesar Salad with grilled chicken, which was fresh and well-balanced with house greens, Parmesan cheese, and Caesar vinaigrette. My little ones ordered the Crispy Southern Fried Chicken Fingers with fries, and they both really enjoyed their meals. Overall, the food was definitely the highlight of our visit, but the service and lack of organization upon arrival could use improvement. If they can address the front-of-house experience, it would make for a much better visit.

I ordered from the Dynamic Duo (sandwich & soup combo) menu. I picked the Reuben and Chicken Tortilla Soup because it's been a minute since I've had either. The Reuben was good with my one critique being that I could've used a little more Thousand Island on it. The soup was good as well and not too spicy. I always order Chicken Tortilla and hope for the best because I've had it swing way past my threshold for heat but this didn't. It has a kick for sure but not too bad. My wife ordered the Hot Honey Chicken & Yolk Biscuit Sandwich. She really liked it with the biscuit itself exceeding what she expected. Like me, her only small issue with that she liked that hot honey so much, she would've liked a little more on it. That's something she knows to ask for next time though, so no biggie. We sat at the bar and service was great from everyone we interacted with. This was out third time here since they opened. My wife pointed out that she liked her first visit and this one better than the second. She had a regular platter the second time, so she thinks sticking with their specialties is the best way to go. When visiting Jacksonville for work, I was on the lookout for great restaurants around St Johns…read moreTown Center as my hotel and the work office was in the vicinity. Reservations can be made via OpenTable, and I saw this suggested on Yelp so I decided to try one evening. Upon arriving, I marveled at the beauty of the interior design of the bottom floor that also serves as a gallery. I ascended the staircase as the restaurant is on the third floor. I dined alone as this trip I didn't have a coworker with me, but I still was seated in a cozy corner to take it all in. Isaac, my waiter, was incredibly friendly, and ensured I had everything I needed. What I Ordered: - Caesar Salad: This salad is as pretty good, but at a price point of $19, I would likely skip if dining here again. Though, it did have the perfect hint of lemon for acidity and the croutons tasted house-made. Perhaps if you added a protein, this could become your main dish and elevate it. - Lobster Roll: $36 for a lobster roll?! I was intrigued as this was noted as a signature dish and a standout for what this location is known for... and boy was I IMPRESSED! The roll was perfectly toasted, and the lobster to roll ratio was absolute perfection. The flavor of the lobster was juicy and tasted fresh. This roll was so good that even the neighboring table as they left asked how I enjoyed it. They were recognized by staff, so I believe they are regulars. We all discussed how delicious it was and I shared my thoughts on the execution of lobster to bread ratio. I dined here a couple weeks ago, and I'm still thinking about where in Arizona I'll ever find a roll as decadent. - Cappuccino: a mark of a truly well-crafted cappuccino is the sugar test. Will the foam withstand the weight of sugar or will it sink to the bottom (poorly frothed)? I had ordered and didn't realize they would put a design on top! Visually stunning, and happy to report they make a beautiful cappuccino with delightful foam. Added pictures to showcase the design they added, and the sugar test. The rooftop has stunning views, and the food is a work of art as well. Though I had a lighter dinner with a salad + lobster roll, I was impressed with the meal and would return to try more of the menu if I visit for business or personal reasons in the future. This area has lots of restaurants, but this one definitely leaves an impression and draws this foodie back in to return. Check it out if you are in the area!

Service was attentive and gracious. I started with a rose spritz, the avocado carpaccio, and the half roast chicken. The spritz was a delight. Not too sweet, very refreshing. The carpaccio was amazing with the smoked salt, and the briny caviar. My friend ordered the chips and dip, and heaven on earth is combining the two appetizers (a chip topped with avocado and then a dollop of creme fraiche/caviar). The chicken was okay. I should have gone with something else, but I panic-ordered. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't remarkable. I should have gone with a fancy salad or the lobster roll. My second drink, a glass of rose, was okay but wasn't served ice cold, a disappointment. I shared a chocolate chip cookie at the end of the meal, and it was absolutely delicious. I'd happily return with that crew of ladies, and I'd happily recommend this place for a date night.
