Went to celebrate a friend's birthday, and landed here. Took me a minute to find the place (coming from OP), and parking is not easy, but so glad I made the trek. Food was hot and fresh and tasted so yummy! The staff were friendly and made us feel very well taken care of. The interior is nicely decorated and has some lovely murals. what's not to love?!?

Ummm.... My margarita was good. If I was at dinner with girlfriends a second one would have been ordered. Food? Ehh. The soft shell of my tacos were cold. The server didn't come back to refill our waters either. I was so thirsty! 21.12.2025

Food was pretty good, not an issue there, only down side the service was a little slow this night. Drinks were definitely doing the good part to make up for the wait! The place designed so well with the art on the walls and everywhere added a great touch for a talking piece. Very cute and friendly vibe.Prices are very reasonable and parking was smooth here no trouble at all. Try the churros simple but very sweet way to end the meal.

Love their Taco Tuesday special! All these tacos for just $2.99 is a great deal. All the tacos were full of flavor and their drink deals are also wonderful. Our server was friendly and attentive to all our needs. This will definitely be a staple for us especially since it's down the road from us. The ambiance here is bright, colorful and vibrant!

I'm going to start this review out by discussing the outstanding service we received from Matthew. We were a party of nine and I have to say Matthew truly deserves 10 stars for his demonstrated customer centered skills! His recommendation of menu items was spot on and his service is beyond reproach. Matthew is a true role model for the team! The food was excellent and I have to say I was literally shocked at how quickly it came out, hot and fresh. I had the burrito which was huge so I have enough for leftovers. The guacamole was fresh & outstanding as well as the street corn! There are not enough euphemisms to say how great everything was! I love the interior for its rich in the culture of honoring those who have gone before us. The bright colors and the ambience is outstanding. Management really needs to know what a true gem they have in Matthew! He made this visit outstanding because he genuinely cared about his customers. The food was an added bonus!

house margaritas $4.99@ until 6pm, lunch menu available until4pm. Luckily we arrived at 3:45pm for a late lunch/early dinner. We had the ceviche (half price) and the dos tacos special. We got one chumichurri and one shrimp. The chimichurri tasted like it was something else, like carne asada, with green sauce. But it was good! As was 5he shrimp taco and rice and beans. When we go back, I'd spring for a half price as well. Nice ambience, and friendly bar staff waiting on us. No complaints here.

I truly enjoy the ambiance of cantina Louie. It's a very social atmosphere with tvs, indoor/outdoor patio seating and a full bar. It is quite loud but again, great for socializing. The food is always delicious and so are the drinks. The service is quite fast and friendly. It's definitely a go to spot for happy hour specials and football!

The outside bar is great on a nice day! They have daily deals, great margaritas and decent prices! Service is consistently good and fast! This place gets really busy but they will still seat you quickly. I like this place a lot, but the tacos/food are subpar compared to Taco Lu or burrito gallery. Nothing bad about them but just not quite as good. Seafood items are very good and fresh but steak and other meats can be rubbery.

Great spot for a big group! I was asked to choose a place for dinner for some new work colleagues and decided on Cantina Louie..... I absolutely made the right choice! The waitress was super attentive and made great suggestions. The food was good and there was something for everyone! I personally got the shrimp tacos (both the street corn and the sriracha) and a pork taco which were all very tasty. The street corn was my favorite! They also have great deals every day for both food and drink!

The service here is amazing! Really liked the decor, it's very fun, uplifting and traditional Mexican. The food was equally great. Had the taquitos as an appetizer and to my surprise it was 1/2 off (guessing during happy hour). Also enjoyed a normal margarita and carne asada taco to gauge authenticity. The tacos here are authentic and very tasty. Can't wait to try more stuff on their menu. Definitely my new hangout place when I come down to JAX.

Nice dinner experience with family. I ordered the chicken chimichanga and it was absolutely delicious--flavorful and beautifully plated. I paired it with a Mango Margarita. The service was fast and pleasant. The restaurant is very nice with vibrant murals and gorgeous metal lanterns that create a warm, inviting atmosphere. I'll definitely be returning when I visit Jacksonville.

Cantina Louie has redeemed themselves with this visit. I've frequented several locations over the past decade and used to really enjoy it; however, I've felt as though the quality has declined over the past several years as the food would come out exceedingly quickly (within a matter of minutes) but be cold, which led me to believe it was not prepared fresh. However, my boyfriend and I stopped by at about 7:30 on a Saturday night and were promptly seated. We ordered queso and 2 margaritas, both of which were good and came quickly. The waitress also promptly refilled our chip basket when we were out. My boyfriend ordered the carne asada and I ordered a birria burrito bowl. The carne asada was good but I did notice the steak was quite thin and other restaurants usually provide more meat. The birria bowl was great, the meat was juicy and tender. All in all, the meal was good and hot (my biggest gripe with the cantina Louie chains).

I'm usually a fan of Cantina Louie but haven't been in a while and felt it was just okay! Queso was really runny and watery and tacos were fine, not great. We sat at the bar and service was good and quick, food came out quickly and we were in and out within an hour on a Friday night. We went early around 5:30 so it wasn't super busy yet. Good environment to hang out and have a margarita!

Man, it was one of the best decisions I've made on the road lately! The food came out hot and fresh with that real homemade taste. The tacos were packed with flavor, the rice and beans were on point, and the portions were generous enough to fill up a hungry driver without breaking the bank. I went with the carne asada and it hit the spot perfectly - seasoned just right, not too greasy, and cooked tender. Service was quick and friendly, even when they were busy. The place has that classic hole-in-the-wall vibe (in the best way), nothing fancy but clean and welcoming. It felt like the kind of authentic spot locals would keep coming back to. Only reason it's not 5 stars is the parking can be a little tight for a big rig if you're not careful, and they don't have a ton of truck-friendly seating space. But the food more than makes up for it. If you're rolling through the area and craving real Mexican food, definitely stop in. I'll be back next time I'm in the neighborhood. ¡Muy bueno! -- Carlos, SemiTruckDriver

Service at the bar was great. Food arrived faster than expected, but I had also got there as their night was winding down. My friends and I were originally going to eat here for Cinco de Mayo, but when I got there at 6:45, I was told it would be a 3.5 hour wait. They had a DJ outside pumping out fast and upbeat music for the party and an outside margarita stand for grab and go drinks. When I arrived back just after 9, I had told them to take us off the list. She informed me that they tried calling me. Nothing came through on my phone, but she did show her call log and sure enough, it showed they called me around 8:20. My friends and I probably would have stayed to eat here originally had we been given a more realistic wait time guesstimate. An hour and a half wait vs 3.5 hours is much more feasible. Oh well. I'm sure I'll be back in the future. I've always enjoyed Anejo.

To me it had more of a chain restaurant feel, kind of like something you'd get at Chili's rather than a more authentic Mexican spot. Drinks were mixed for us. My wife had margaritas and enjoyed them, honestly I don't think she's ever met a margarita she didn't like. I tried the Old Fashioned, which just wasn't my style. If you can catch one of the two people working as they bring out orders you are lucky. The menus on the kiosks are pretty informative though and tell the ingredients for each item. They cook to order which is nice except you don't get your drinks or your appetizers until it's your turn. There is a comment section to type no tomatoes or special instructions. Mine still came out with tomatoes but they promptly remade it for me. The food is pretty good. No complaints there other than having to remake one of my tacos. The chips and queso was pretty good. Chips were dusted with spices and served hot. We tried 6 different tacos and they were all very good. The tortillas were toasted on the grill which makes a big difference. You can get flour or corn tortillas. The chicken and steak were marinated before grilling and were big cubes and plentiful. The menu has a pretty big variety including a kids menu with chicken and fries. The last comment is their fountain machine for drinks. The coke tasted off. They may need to recalibrate it. Drinks are served in small clear throw away cups and the lids don't fit very well. Refills are hard to get. You have to wait for someone to come out of the back.
