The kids and I love this place! Very no muss no fuss place. You get seated right away, unless it's a cinco de mayo on a taco Tuesday, which is when we went last then you could wait about 20 minutes! It was also very loud at the time, because obviously. Still not bad. Service is great and food usually comes out fast. Chips and salsa are good. The guac dip looks like it's prepackaged but still decent, and kid-approved. My daughter loves their California burrito and uses this as standard for other California burritos, which, to date, according to her, no one has met. Their regular tacos (crunchy beef and soft beef) are a hit with the littles. I had their tostada de ceviche was delicious! You get 2 tostadas and everything tasted fresh! We love this place. My husband is from cali and this is by far the most traditional rice, cali burrito, and Chile quiles. The sauces are all homemade. The manager is always the server he is the kindest nicest man. Always offers great service. They place is decorated really fun and on friday they have karaoke, so expect it loud but it was fun watching people sing! read more

Mi Ranch GTO is a small Mexican restaurant located in a shopping center. For a landmark, look for the Winn-Dixie supermarket. Walking on, it is nothing fancy (nor is it fancy on the outside). I will say that I liked the interior,which was painted with interesting murals, most with a day of the dead theme. There is a small bar to your left when you walk in. My server brought me some complementary chips and salsa and took my drink order. Looking over the menu, I went with the chimichanga lunch special. I believe it was number five. It was about seven dollars (the menu priced it at $6.99). They also had a lunch special with the chimichanga that added rice and beans for two dollars more. Be advised that this is a small chimichanga. Picture maybe the size of an enchilada. I feel that this was overpriced at seven dollars. I will say that it have a decent amount of meat inside it, though I thought it was a bit harshly seasoned. All in all, I cannot see myself returning to this restaurant. read more

The seat was so worn that I could feel the bar under the matting. I moved to the seat across, but that one was almost as bad lol. Anyways, chips are fresh. Salsa was a tad watery, good flavor though. I ordered a taco, burrito, and....enchilada combo? The burrito and enchilada came together wet. They were both beef, without other contents, so really the only difference was the wrap and the size. Their was ground beef was pretty good. It had a nice fresh and full umami. The overall flavor was maybe a tad bland for me though. I dropped their habanero hot sauce on everything. The taco was a simple crunchy shell taco, which was okay. The entree didn't come with additional salsa or anything, so they taco was just dry by itself with only cheese and lettuce. It was fine since I used the salsa that came with the chips, but I wonder how they expected people to eat it. Overall, the restaurant seems relatively authentic, but I wasn't particularly impressed. If you are looking for the freshest fish taco with pico de gallo, this is the place. The fish was grilled to perfection and the pico was so fresh and delicious. The price is very reasonable as it comes with 3 tacos and beans and rice. My friend who has forever been looking for the perfect tamales that was like her mama made finally found it here. The staff is very friendly and is accommodating to special requests. Loved, loved, loved the decor, especially the dia de los muertos mural. Looking forward to celebrating Cinco de Mayo there. This was a first stop for the night and so happy it was. I walked in to a bright and cheerful spot. We sat at the bar and started with Sangrias. The bartender patiently cut up slices of pears and oranges and placed them within our large sized glass of Sangria. The glass arrived cold and was so tasteful and refreshing..strong too..one was enough.... for now. :) I order the chicken quesadilla as I did not want to fill up since I had a dinner to go to soon after. The quesadilla came quickly and was very tasty. It was full of chicken and cheese and green chilies. Typical Mexican food located near my office. It's your run of the mill Mexican type place with cheap eats and nothing that really impresses. There are probably 50+ of these type places around town with the most known La-Nop. It's better than Taco Bell and any other fast food in the area. I ordered a single chimichanga lunch for take out which came with rice and beans but I typically do double beans. For a quick meal, I'd come back knowing what to expect. No surprises and good enough for a satisfying lunch. read more

My best friend and I came to celebrate Cinco de Mayo here, and while the food was good, the service had some standards to live up to. We were immediately seated and given chips and salsa, but our waitress was slow, inattentive, and kept disappearing a lot to the point we wondered where she went off to. After eating our meals, we waited for our checks to come, and it was more than an hour and after another waitress came over to check on us that we finally got our check. We weren't in a hurry, but it would've been nice to have gotten our check in a reasonable time. She did hand us freebies for the holiday, so that did make the visit a little bit nicer. The food is really good though! They had stuff on the menu I hadn't seen before, so I decided to go out on a limb and try something new. I chose the Bistec Ranchero for $11.99, and it was more than enough food for me. It is a thin slice of steak, grilled and topped with red sauce, alongside rice and beans. It was full of flavor and very filling. We both ordered the margarita specials of $2.99 for 12 oz. My cup was overflowing, while my friend's cup was almost filled to the top, but not overflowing. They had a decent amount of tequila in them, so that we were feeling them by the time we finished. There were a decent amount of customers in the restaurant, I'm assuming for the holiday. My girlfriend and I have been here before, and we were eager to find out if our first visit was just a fluke. Our first visit blew us away. But sometimes first impressions can be deceiving. So, since we wanted some Mexican, and we were close, we wanted to give it a second go. Now after my first visit I started my review with 4 stars but never finished it. After this experience, I've decided to upgrade the rating to 5-stars. I remember we had a great experience the first try, but I can't remember why I had 4 stars for that one. Maybe since we eat alot of Mexican, and Mexican food trucks are hard to beat? I don't know. Doesn't matter. I now have this as a 5 star Mexican restaurant. We sat ourselves upon entering. The hostess quickly brought complimentary chips n salsa, and our server came right after to take our drink orders. She provided the specials upon request and we each ordered a Corona Light draft which was 2 for 1. If you've had Corona or Corona Light, you need no review. If not, have one. We reviewed the menu and each ordered the 3 tacos for $9.99, which was not a "special" - it's an every day menu item. We both had Carnitas and Pollo, and I also had the Asada. Now, since I discovered Mexican food trucks I've not been much impressed with regular Mexican restaurant tacos. Those food trucks just have something about them lol. But this place.... Well, I think they have a food truck parked out back. Yes. These tacos, with cilantro and onions on a double-wrapped corn tortilla are as good as they come. Take it from a guy who has tried almost every Mexican place in town (including 5 or 6 of the various Mexican food trucks).. This place does it right. The only difference between these tacos and the best food truck out there is that these tacos were bigger. Yea, there was more meat, more cilantro, and the perfect amount of onions. Plus, the $9.99 included the beans and rice! Service was great. The food was even better. And the atmosphere was great. Just a great experience overall. And another thing we noticed was that when we got there, many of the groups eating at the time appeared to be of Mexican heritage. And while there, out of the maybe 5 or 6 groups that entered, 5 or 6 of then also appeared to be Mexican. That tells me one thing - this place knows authentic Mexican food. I could have made my entire review on the fact that the place was filled with Mexicans. That alone is all the review any of us should need! Great place. Try it if you haven't already! read more

With competition in the form of "Si Senor" less than two blocks away, this place has to deliver good food at a lower price point. I like it! I mean it isn't life changing but it's a damn good value for not a lot of dough. I had three tacos a quesadilla guacamole queso blanco a pacifico, and a chimi/ flouta combo for $32. All this and they have my favorite Mexican beer, Pacifico. The food is good but not grrreat , the service is outstanding, and the denero is looking right. This is the kind of Mexican place I love to frequent. Off the beaten path at the tail end of a strip mall with a super friendly staff and very affordable menu. A friend brought me here because he loved the place and I'm glad he did. From the moment you walk in the atmosphere is inviting. We sat at the bar to watch Mexican soccer while grabbing dinner. Everyone was chatty and friendly, whether or not they were involved in our service. It was a relaxing environment which enticed you to become a regular. The menu had a strong selection for just about every taste bud and the prices to match just about every wallet. I had a 32 oz mug of Modelo for $4.99. That, in and of itself, was worth the price of admission. Pair that hefty adult beverage with delicious pork in Al Pastor tacos (3 of them) and I was in heaven. Came here because our original plans didn't work out. Got here around 7:30 didn't leave till 9:30 for 4 people. One person ordered 3 asada tacos and only received one with no rice and beans (even though it was on the menu). Tried to get it fixed but the server was not helpful. Two people ordered steak burritos and said they were good. Last person ordered carnitas tacos. They were very dry but came out like the menu said (3 tacos with rice and beans). The food wasn't anything to write home about but it was okay. Our server stared us down from across the room for like 10 minutes before we finally asked for our check. Then the bill came and there were a bunch of random charges, but the receipt didn't explain what any of the charges were for. After 20 minutes of trying to talk to them, nothing was resolved. They are very sketchy and I highly advise you never to come here! read more

Great place to stop by for authentic Mexican. It's located in a strip mall out of the way and the only way we found it was because we saw a bunch of banners on the side of the road advertising. Their staff was very friendly and the seating had an open atmosphere. The paintings on the walls were really interesting to look at; lots of details.
