Wow! What a hidden gym. We are so glad we popped into this spot based on previous reviews I saw. 1pm on a Saturday and actually at 50% capacity. Small spot but booths, tables and bar spots available. Plenty of parking. Good was AMAZING. Giant portions. Overflowing with flavor. Everything we go including chips came with some type of delicious dip. We both had enough to take home. A little slow on service but not to the servers fault as he was hustling. I just think love was being poured into the food in the kitchen. Will 100% be back

We stopped at Dona Maria Tacos 2, which has moved into the former Mi Casa Mexican restaurant on Beach Blvd. The first time we tried their tacos was from their food trailer on Beach Blvd by Hodges. I ordered the tacos el pastor and was immediately hooked they have the most authentic el pastor in the area. When we found out they now have a sit-down restaurant, we were excited to stop by and were not disappointed. Although their menu remains the same, they're in the process of adding more recipes. Additionally, they offer beer, wine, and Mexican sodas. If you're looking for great tacos and homemade tortillas, give them a try. Dona Maria 2 tacos

Do yourself a favor and come see what it's all about! A new restaurant for homemade Mexican cuisine. Made with love and care from family recipes. Made fresh upon ordering. We came in after reading another review and seeing the pictures. It used to be another Mexican restaurant, but this one has any and all beat!! We were greeted by Kevin the son. He was respectful and cordial. We were given the chips with salsa and jalapeño cream, which is so tasty and not spicy as you might think. Flavorful!! Our order took a bit so if you're in a rush, you may want to call ahead as I said, it's all homemade. My husband got his burrito that was every bit of a foot long and totally full of chicken, bacon, rice, guacamole and cheese. They will offer a Peruvian sauce that is sweet. He got it on the side because of not being familiar with it. It was absolutely delicious with a little sweet and tangy taste. Then I got my quesadilla. This was bigger than a football I promise. The one I chose had three meats, pork, chorizo and beef. It was also homemade corn tortilla shell that melted in your mouth. With melted cheese, sour cream and cotija cheese and lettuce with avocado slice on the side. If there's perfection, this is it!!! Honestly, I have never had something so delicious and all the ingredients just worked together. Please give this place a chance and experience what homemade is all about. Did I mention the price. It's so affordable and leftovers definitely for another if not two more meals. The ambiance is loud, but it's ok. We're definitely going to go back!!

Newly opened on Beach Blvd. Maria and her family had a food truck for 4 years that was very successful. They now have a dine in restaurant. This is a scratch kitchen- everything made in house and to order, authentic Mexican flavors and homemade flour and corn tortillas!

Burrito

Great service and delicious food! Highly recommend if you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and the staff was very friendly. Will definitely be coming back!

Arroz con pollo- the beans spilt over (my own fault) but the taste was so good I didn't even care.

Like I don't know if it wasn't mixed well, or they heavy handed it, but I wasn't mad about it at all. The steak tacos were delicious and very flavorful. I'd get these again and again in heartbeat. Service at the bar was great. Food arrived faster than expected, but I had also got there as their night was winding down. My friends and I were originally going to eat here for Cinco de Mayo, but when I got there at 6:45, I was told it would be a 3.5 hour wait. They had a DJ outside pumping out fast and upbeat music for the party and an outside margarita stand for grab and go drinks. When I arrived back just after 9, I had told them to take us off the list. She informed me that they tried calling me. Nothing came through on my phone, but she did show her call log and sure enough, it showed they called me around 8:20. My friends and I probably would have stayed to eat here originally had we been given a more realistic wait time guesstimate. An hour and a half wait vs 3.5 hours is much more feasible. Oh well. I'm sure I'll be back in the future. I've always enjoyed Anejo.

Greeted and sat right away- 5 of us. Hostess nice, server nice. Right away had two large bowls of chips and two types of salsa brought to us. Chips were good, just added salt. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. And we were patient, super patient. It was a Friday, but it was not overly crowded, like I said - seated immediately around 7:40. Drinks, took over 30 minutes for a pineapple one and three skinny- we joked the food would arrive first, but we were very wrong. Then, the waitress waited for us to try- I think it was a newer person at the bar. We tried to like it, but somehow it tasted like flat sprite.our server took them away and made us them herself. Now, those were great. Small side of guac was brought after that- meant to go with the meal, but we were so hungry we just ate with the chips. It was very good- fresh tasting. Then we waited. And waited some more. Asked about the food, then waited some more. Finally, we cut our losses and asked for the check minus the food that never came. The band was starting next door and we wanted to celebrate the bday girl. Pic 1, text just after 8pm- shows me joking that I was going to eat my friends food since she was headed over from next door and taking a bit and we had ordered 10 minutes prior. Pic 2, text shows us giving up- 9pm. So over an hour wait on food that never arrived - even if busy that would be a deal breaker. We were excited to try it too- disappointed.

I've posted about them a few times in the past, so old friends already know i enjoy this spot and count it as an official TacoTimeWithTrish must try place! Today hubby and I enjoyed their chicken tacos, steak tacos, and barbacoa tacos. The barbacoa ones being our absolute favorite ones! Tepey's started its roots as a small food truck during the Covid-19 pandemic while Luis and team worked on building out the brewery. Tepey's focus is based on Mexican Aztec roots and history, and that shines through not only the food that comes out of the kitchen, but through its diverse flavors of beers, with a primary focus on lagers. Tepey's is now a staple in the San Marco neighborhood and hosts many community events from pop up markets, live music, trivia, and so much more! It's no wonder they will be celebrating their 5 year anniversary this upcoming weekend and I, for one, am greatly looking forward to it. I hope that you'll come out and support this wonderful locally owned business and help them celebrate on this milestone anniversary.

The floors were sticky and our shoes stuck to the floor. The women's restroom was out of order. The kiosks seem like a good idea but nobody there to ask questions or to get your drinks. If you can catch one of the two people working as they bring out orders you are lucky. The menus on the kiosks are pretty informative though and tell the ingredients for each item. Kiosk automatically adds 20% tip unless you change it. Considering you don't have any interaction with employees until they bring out your order other tipping options might apply. They cook to order which is nice except you don't get your drinks or your appetizers until it's your turn. There is a comment section to type no tomatoes or special instructions. Mine still came out with tomatoes but they promptly remade it for me. The food is pretty good. No complaints there other than having to remake one of my tacos. The chips and queso was pretty good. Chips were dusted with spices and served hot. We tried 6 different tacos and they were all very good. The tortillas were toasted on the grill which makes a big difference. You can get flour or corn tortillas. The chicken and steak were marinated before grilling and were big cubes and plentiful. The menu has a pretty big variety including a kids menu with chicken and fries. The last comment is their fountain machine for drinks. The coke tasted off. They may need to recalibrate it. Drinks are served in small clear throw away cups and the lids don't fit very well. Refills are hard to get. You have to wait for someone to come out of the back. If these small complaints don't bother you the food is very good.

I ordered the Shrimp Tacos (corn tortillas, lettuce, breaded fried shrimp, chipotle mayo, and cilantro) minus pico & they were great. The shrimp were freshly fried and steaming hot. I had to wait a bit because a large catering order was being finished as I arrived. The manager offered me a free Jarritos and apologized profusely for my wait. I took it as a good sign that their tacos are that popular plus it gave me time to enjoy the gorgeous murals by ARTBYJAE. I visited the Baymeadows location (open until 3am Fri/Sat & 1am Sun-Th) & they now have a second location on Parental Home Rd (open until 1am Fri/Sat & 11pm Sun-Th).
