The restaurant is gorgeous inside, love the huge wine cooler that you can see all the wines displayed. They have a huge bar area which is nice also. They have a huge wine selection, I got a bottle of the red tropical moscato and it was delicious. Not too sweet, not too dry, I would say it is semi-sweet. Highly recommend this wine. The salad bar is mediocre, I wish they would label things, cause some of the items I had no clue about. They have a few "hot" items on a separate bar area which are pretty good. They bring bananas, mash potatoes, and another Brazilian side dish to your table also. The meats are very good, I tried them all. My favorite was the flank steak, it is very tender and tasty. They also bring grilled cinnamon/sugar pineapple to your table also. That is so good, to die for!!! This is a very nice restaurant to go to on a date night or special occasion. It is pricey but worth it once and while. I would come back again....its good!! Service is awesome!!!

The food itself was just okay--not terrible, but certainly not worth the price. The salad bar was very basic, and the lettuce appeared old and tasted sour. The biggest issue was the service. The staff seemed rushed and careless throughout our visit. My husband's finger was cut by a staff member, and water was spilled all over my dad's shoes and shorts, as well as my mom's purse. The spill was never properly cleaned up while we were there; instead, a wet floor sign was simply placed over the area and left that way until after we left. The restaurant was also uncomfortably hot. Everyone in our group was sweating while eating. I overheard staff mention that it was because there were too many people inside, yet they continued seating more guests instead of addressing the issue and ensuring current customers were comfortable. It felt like maximizing profit was a higher priority than providing a pleasant dining experience. When we asked to speak with management, the general manager was unable to communicate with us in English, which made it difficult to address our concerns. The assistant manager was friendlier and able to communicate more effectively, but by that point the experience had already been disappointing. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant. For the prices they charge, I expected far better food quality, customer service, and overall hospitality. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. If I could give this place 0 out of 5 stars, I would.

It came with 2 empanadas we got the boricua (beef, cilantro, green olives& onions) and the brasiliero (beef and potatoes) 2 tacos (the steak and the pork) 2 tostones, some yuca fries and a small side of guacamole. We also got the 3 empanada box which we got the Cubans (champ, pork, pickle, mustard and cheese), the tripleta (pork, steak, ham and cheese with onions and mayo mustard) and the spicy picadillo and cheese. We also tried the sauces: cilantro Lime ranch, the garlic mojo (garlic olive oil, fresh lime juice) and , roasted tomato (roasted tomatoes a d jalapeño said extra hot) and cilantro lime (cilantro jalapeño and lime based sauce said hot) If anything said hot I tried it and I believe them!! I'm not much for spicy stuff but the cilantro like ranch!!! I will get that every time. The only thing that would be negative for me is their drinks are cans and that the tostones aren't really flavorful. They are crunch and fresh heals but wouldn't order them again! My absolute favorite was definitely the cubano empanadas! I could get a box of those and be completely happy! Will definitely return if I'm in the area!

The workers seemed slightly slower than the other location I have been to. No biggie. Finally, when it was my turn to order, the guy motioned to me and said something (I couldn't understand him, but it was obvious he wanted me to place my order) so I started my order and then he mid-sentence of me saying the order, he looked down at the monitor and said "one minute" as an online order came in and he started to proceed to make THAT order as I stood there waiting to finish my order. I am not thinking the world should revolve around me at all, but I have also learned that in customer service the person in front of you should be the priority. So finally, I placed my order and moved on through to the cashier. She had ZERO smile and ZERO eye contact. I pride myself on being a cheerful, polite person who also tries to give a genuine smile. She seemed to be tired and definitely didn't want to be there. I had to WAIT to pay bc she was turned waiting for something. No explanation like, "I'll be able to get your payment in just a second" or anything of the sort. The food was delicious, nonetheless. The lighting at night inside is a little too much on the cool side. We decided to take our order to go. Will we be back? yes, but to the Spring Forest Road location instead. the staff is friendlier and way faster!

The Hot Honey Chicken special with pimento cheese was an easy 10/10. The fried green tomatoes were another standout, sliced to the perfect thickness with a great crunch. The beans and rice were packed with flavor, and the fried chicken was excellent. Even the Thai Chili BBQ deserves a mention; it's a must-try, just don't let the name fool you because the heat sneaks up on you. Add in the unique artwork and atmosphere, plus the great service, and you've got a restaurant that's worth a detour if you're driving through Durham. I'll definitely be back.

While the food was good, it didn't knock my socks off. And they're definitely more of a creole restaurant than a southern one. There are better cajun/Creole restaurants in the RTP area. I was going to order the creole gumbo, but found out when I came in that it was a seafood gumbo today not their regular one. Oh well. So I ordered jambalaya with a side of red beans and rice. Both were good but a little dry and I've had better nearby. The fresh catch of the Day was Amber Jack, and I love that fish, so maybe I should've ordered that in a Poboy. Might come back to try some of their other offerings.
