The food here used to be okay for this area. However, for the last year or so, every time we try to eat here, they are closed. Their hours apparently vary from day to day and are never accurate online. Even their answering machine lists the wrong hours. Every time I think I might catch them open for business, I try to call or drive by and they are closed. There seems to be no rhyme or reason, they are just open randomly. It's very frustrating. Better than average Chinese buffet. Although we arrived close to closing time, the Staff regularly offered to bring fresh dishes out. Hot & sour soup was much better than average. The Mongolian cook to order was very good and very fresh. This was one of our best Chinese buffet experience around this part of southwest Missouri. Definitely recommend. read more

You should pass on eating here. I can not say we have ever been impressed here. Chicken is often dry, crab regoons are hard and burnt. We live just down the street and having a decent Chinese Food place close by would be nice. We always end up driving up past river it and going to China King on republic road. read more

I've given them to many chances to improve hospitality in three separate occasions I was overcharged on my credit card so make sure you check your receipts. Making mistakes on my orders one to many times check it before u take it home . The buffet is very picked over and nothing ever seems to be fresh so I get it to go and they can't even do that right it takes too much effort to try to eat there not worth it. Me, my brother, and our friend Sean come here once or twice a month. All 3 of us think this is the best Chinese buffet in the area. Our food is good and the service is decent, but I would say give the young kids some grace because more than likely this is their first job and they are learning. read more

For local, fast, affordable Chinese you can't beat Canton. I do, however, highly recommend going through the drive through for super fresh food. The buffet is fine, but for $18 for two adult buffets I would rather order what I want. The beef broccoli is amazing, as well as the cashew chicken. read more

Canton Buffet is my all time favorite Chinese food in the universe. I've been going here for over 10 years and no other place compares. If you are going to eat the buffet, make sure it is during peek hours to ensure the selection is fresh. The drive thru is always fresh and delightful. Horrible customer service & very unprofessional staff. The owner & management is very rude & hateful. Went through the drive-through and ordered General chicken without onion and peppers. Came home to find that onion and peppers were in the food. My son went back up there with the food and explain to them what had happened and they became hateful & rude. Told him they were not replacing it or refunding him the money even tho we had the receipt. So my son pulled around and went inside and asked to speak to the owner and he was a complete jerk to my son who told him that he was deathly allergic to onions and proceeded to argue with him telling him that's not how they do customer service. They are always in the right and their customers are in the wrong. After nine years of coming to this business they have lost my entire family's business for good. These people are thieves. Horrible customer service and horrible management. This is not the way a business should be run. Any other business would be happy to make food the correct way and not tell the customer that they can't afford to make new food for them. This was an awesome eat. My family and I eat there at least 2 times a month. The staff is very nice and food is always fresh. Their Mongolian grill is awesome too. I definitely recommend this place. I apparently showed up too early to pick up my food. I wouldn't have minded to wait, but I did mind getting berated by the lady behind the counter. I asked for an apology only for her to argue with me. Cancelled the order and went to Cashew Inn. Better food, price, service and serving time. I can put up with a lot of mistakes, as long as I am taken care of as a customer. Well, my husband brought me home some food from there and I requested that the sauce be put on the side. The chicken is fried (i.e. Cashew Chicken type, so I didn't want it to become soggy.) When I picked up the sauce container, it was scalding to the point that when I picked it up, the bottom of the container broke through and spilled all over my hand and arm. I called up the restaurant sobbing, and explained what had happened. Now, this may seem a bit melodramatic , but I was in a plethora of pain. Not only was I treated with contempt, (by Ken, the manager), but the only suggestion was that I go to the ER. This happened months ago, and I walked in the other day to give them ONE MORE CHANCE to make it right..I wasn't asking for much...I never ate the meal...first of all, I was traumatized by the burn...that pain was intense for quite some time! Plus, no sauce. ALL I wanted was a replacement meal...most restaurants with a modicum of customer service would have BENT OVER BACKWARDS to express remorse over what had happened and tried to make it right! Well, Ken was still a jerk, and made the lousy excuse that he could get in trouble if he replaced my meal, since they were not a large chain! Both times he questioned my integrity...like, "how do I know you're not just making this up?" I guess I could have tried to win an Emmy when I called up sobbing that first time, just so I could get a $7 meal... Needless to say, I won't hesitate to spread the word (which sucks for them, because I also bend over backwards to advertise when a restaurant offers really good customer service!!) read more

Food was OK not great. Buffet was empty the whole time. Ice cream machine was broke. Server was nice.

Every time I ate there it was good and there very friendly I love that they have delivery
