So I wanted to try something different. I've been in this area many times and I never stopped in here, really, will not for food. What does that have to give it a go. I was not mad at all! So coming here you're going to have to worry about parking but there's a lot right next door. I think it's like $10 to park but you can also find other lots and if you could find street parking, that'd be great. Remember this is a residential area outside of this little district so you got to be careful where you park at. This place is pretty cool because it has a large space for seating, a really large bar, and plenty of outdoor seats as well. The dining room area is very large and the bar is pretty big but the outside area to me takes the cake. They have chairs and loungers and a fire pit, I think. It's really clutch if it's a really nice day out. The last time I went outside at the bar and ordered a couple of bites. The bartender was super cool, polite, no issue with the service. Garlic knots - so these came and I wasn't actually expecting them but they were good. Here, the last time I was there I wasn't offering any garlic knots so I didn't know that they gave these as an appetizer bread. They came with a good sauce and they were very buttery and glazed with butter and cheese. They weren't as pull-apart tender as I would have liked but they still had a really good flavor to them. Calamari - I ordered the calamari as well. I've actually had it before and it was really good so I went back for it. It comes with a really good marinara sauce that has plenty of chunks of tomato in it. The calamari itself is very good and savory and it comes plentiful. You may not even necessarily eat the sauce because it's pretty seasoned. Cheese sticks - I guess I wouldn't call these cheese sticks because they're more like triangles lol but they are really good. Deep-fried cheese triangles, they didn't miss. It had the typical issues you have when you fry something but at the same time they were good and had a really good cheese pull. I would definitely order these again. They came only in three but they were very nice sized. Overall I had a good experience. Again this is not my first time going but I would actually go back and try food because honestly I've only tried appetizers. I haven't actually tried dinner lol but I've had a really good experience every time I've been. read more

My husband and I tried Ipps for a mid-day lunch during his lunch break. They weren't busy at all, so we expected the food and drinks to come out well, but unfortunately, they didn't. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was actually better from the trainee than from the woman who said she was training her. The food was just okay. My Grey Goose martini didn't taste like Grey Goose. It tasted like a different, cheaper vodka and went down very rough, even though Grey Goose is usually smooth. The drink was supposed to be sweet and fruity, but it didn't taste good at all. It had an odd, old taste to it. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. It was just okay and didn't really stand out. I've been to Italian restaurants where the pasta tasted extremely fresh and the sauce tasted homemade. I love Italian food, but this spot just wasn't it. My husband didn't like his food either and didn't eat it. He told the waitress who was training that the sauce was a bit overwhelming for the dish. She didn't seem concerned. She told him she was sorry he didn't like it and walked away. She didn't ask if he would like to try something else or offer any other solution. The waitress who was doing the training was very short and acted as if she didn't care throughout most of our meal. We are not in a hurry to go back, especially after feeling like we wasted our time and money. read more

Decided to stop in on a random evening in June while visiting the Roswell area from Michigan. And I am beyond happy that we did. My daughter and I had two absolutely amazing meals (one seafood dish and 1 vegetarian). Drinks were fantastic and staff was prompt and very friendly. 100% recommend stopping here if you can. The ambiance is awesome inside and out. Roswell seems like a happening, fun community too. We'll be back next year. read more

The restaurant has a spacious layout with a comfortable indoor dining area and a nice outdoor patio that creates a relaxed atmosphere. The appetizer selection was enjoyable, and a few items were flavorful enough to stand out. Unfortunately, the main dishes didn't leave the same impression. Some flavors felt unbalanced, while others were simply average and lacked the freshness expected. Service was acceptable but could have been more attentive when concerns were mentioned. Overall, the experience wasn't disappointing, but it also wasn't memorable enough to make this a regular dining destination. Very disappointed in Roswell Restaurant Week. Our server was fantastic but the entrees were just awful. Prime example was the Gnocchi; which came FRIED. I went here for dinner with my mom and husband, and we took our dog. When I called to check to see if they allow dogs on their patio, I was told that they are "very dog friendly", and that was the experience we received! The patio area is really nice. They have tables that are under a cover and heated, and then they also have a fire table area that you can enjoy your drinks at. They have great drink specials - the night we went, their local draft beers were three dollars. Their complementary garlic rolls are incredible! We checked this place out a few weeks ago and did not really enjoy our experience. The garlic bread was decent. My hubby ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and said it was mediocre. I ordered the grilled cheese, which tasted really good, but was overly greasy and gave me a stomach ache before I took my last bite of the first half, so I couldn't finish it. The main issue, though, was our server. She was extremely inattentive. She never came around to see how we were doing or if we needed anything. We had to ask a different server to track her down after waiting a long time without anything to drink because we never got a refill but she took so long to show up after asking for her that we just asked for the check instead. At that point, we just wanted to get out of there. The place looks nice and I really wanted to like it but sadly that was not the case. I do think that it had the potential to be a better experience if we had a server who was more interested in doing her job, so we may give it another chance at some point, but we likely won't be back anytime soon and I can't recommend it. read more

After trying Ipp's a couple months ago I have been back multiple times and it has become my favorite place to eat. I love the service and the interior here. The seating is always quick, the decor is great and has a homey feel, and the food comes out fast and hot. The food here is amazing and that's an understatement. The free garlic rolls are the best rolls I've ever had and I ALWAYS order another serving. I love the Cellentani Cream Pesto so much that I haven't wanted to try anything else because it's so good but I'm sure the other menu items are just as great. The portion sizes are large and I always have some left over for the next day. Overall, Ipp's has become my go-to #1 restaurant. The food and service here are amazing and I hope that they keep doing what they're doing for a long time. I hope it doesn't get too popular to where I can't get a table, but if you have the chance to go you should absolutely make a trip to Ipp's! read more

An extension of the Ippolito's family brand, Ipp's keeps the best part of it -- the garlic rolls. :-) Honestly, because it's part of Ippolito's, I couldn't see myself going there. However, outside of the garlic rolls and black and white checker motif (lightly used, mind) I didn't notice much similarity. The restaurant space is airy and light, incorporating a sense of motion that flows between indoor and outdoor space. Seating is pretty comfortable and feels very spacious. As far as food goes, I tried the rigatoni cardinale. It was exactly what I wanted. Marinara was right, pasta al dente, and good flavor. The serving size, which was noted as a lunch serving, was enough for two meals. The crew at Ipps seems to know what they're doing, including craft cocktails incorporating elderflower. Try asking for that at Ippolito's. The only downside? No parking and no reservations. You can ask for a call-ahead for parties of 8 or more (inside only.) read more

I hate hate hate to do this but Ipps fell short at our last night out. We got there early and it was busy, which is always a good sign. We had a parents night out so we were there about 5:30pm and about 80% of the restaurant was filled. We sat at the bar waiting for a table. I ordered a Moscow Mule and my husband ordered a Gin Dirty Martini. The martini was NOT good...a little watery, could barely taste the olive juice. The Mule was good though. The bread was warm but blah - not a lot of garlic or butter taste. I swear my tastebuds ARE firing but I just didnt taste much there. The salad's lettuces were watery, we only ate a couple bites each. We both ordered a pasta and there was a lot. THAT was good. The pastas hit the spot and were easily the second best part of the meal - the first being the fried ravioli, but how can you mess that up? You cant. Anyway, there are a lot of places in Roswell that we want to try, so we may be back after the rounds. read more

I don't know where to begin. We were seated for dinner immediately after being given a choice of either inside or outside. Then things went south for a while. Although one waiter and waitress attended to tables around us, we were totally ignored for 10-15 minutes. I went to the hostess and complained and asked to have a different waiter assigned. On the way to my table I passed the waiter station and took two clean plastic glasses and obtained water for two. My wife hated the scratched plastic glasses and even more so the warm chlorine flavored water. Then to add insult to injury, the couple who sat down at a table next to us were taken care of in TWO minutes. My partner lost it, and got frustrated and teary eyed. I immediately went to find the General Manager who I'd met early last week when I first discovered this nice restaurant. He agreed to see my wife and instantly left his important conversation with staff and graciously asked my wife how he could make it up to her. He did a great job insuring we were taken care of immediately, apologized for the change of shift related falling through the cracks problem, hand carried our main courses to us while they were piping hot from the kitchen, and removed certain charges from the bill. By the end of the evening he turned our visit into a very pleasant experience. Can't wait to go back! read more

Ipp's is one of the family go-to spots when we're in Roswell. The food is flavorful, they give you good portions, and the drinks are reasonably priced. It's also a hit with the kids. I like that the outside area has fans and the restaurant is decorated in a modern farmhouse look. It's usually super clean, however, the last time we went, one of the bathrooms needed a good cleaning. I love that they give complementary garlic rolls. Five of us got together for dinner at 5:30 PM, we're all in our 60s and wanted to try a new place. The service was first class, we asked for suggestions, we took them and we're not disappointed. I had a chicken and sausage marsala which I never get, and I'm glad I did. It was wonderful. The ladies all got shrimp dishes, which was top-flight and one person got the Bolognese tortellini. All the helpings were generous and delicious. They lead with some doughy garlic rolls, which are very tempting. It is reasonably priced, and we will go there again. The server told us that 4 of our orders had been ready, but our two personal pizzas were holding up delivery. He confirmed the four orders were under the heat lamps and had been. Once delivered, the three sandwiches were inedible due to the over drying under the heat lamp. One pasta order was so bad it couldn't be eaten. The server and manager never noticed or questioned why nobody wanted a to-go box. The two pizzas were great, hot and fresh. Manager took one sandwich order off the bill. Not going back. I LOVE this place! Checked it out for Roswell Restaurant week on a Tuesday evening; I mention Tuesday bc they have HALF PRICED wine bottles every Tuesday! We got the Ipp's cabernet and it was one of the best red wines i've ever had and at a total steal of $16 for the bottle that evening! The restaurant week deal was insanely good; I chose the fig and proscuitto flatbread for my starter, an arugula salad, and the Shrimp Ranee as my entree ($32 for the 3 courses! :O ) The portion sizes were extremely generous and just perusing the rest of the menu, I would 10000% come back to try their other dishes bc they are so affordable! (like $11 espresso martinis, $13 entrees, etc) --- GIANT fluffy garlic rolls are included in every meal served with a robust marinara sauce. 10/10 would recommend. This is a cute, cozy place off the main road next to a public parking lot. We came for lunch and sat outside under the heaters. The service was a bit slow because they were short staffed. We ordered the pesto pizza, barbecue pizza, white pizza and the chicken Parmigiano. All the food was tasty and presentable. There is a fire pit area outside for drinks or while waiting for your table. The indoor bar has a seating area too. The restaurant has a clean contemporary style and many hightop tables. So I absolutely love the people working here and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was almost unbeatable too. The patio they have outside is amazingly comfortable and right on Canton Street I just wish it was larger so you could always sit there. Even if you can't, the inside is gorgeous, especially the bar area. It seemed like it had everything you'd want in a restaurant but when it came down to it I just didn't love the food. If you know me you know one thing I hate are people that search for authentic food rather than just good food. Many times food has evolved from the traditional way of making it because we found a better way of making it. So this menu not being anywhere near authentic Italian in no way turned me off from coming here. However, I feel the menu can be a little confusing when having many Italian dishes along with some strange bar food like buffalo dip and burgers on the menu. We started with the Pepe for an appetizer. It was supposed to be spicy Italian sausage glazed with honey wrapped in dough and served with a marinara sauce. The sausage itself instead of being spicy was actually sweet Italian sausage and it had a large amount of honey glaze on there. It was just way too much sweetness which didn't go with the marinara sauce. In addition the marinara sauce itself wasn't even marinara, it was just crushed tomatoes. I know marinara has very few ingredients besides the tomatoes but this was only tomatoes. In addition they weren't crushed very well so there were large whole pieces in there which consisted of most of the sauce. Lastly the dough it was wrapped in was cooked too long and it came somewhat dry and parts of it burned on one side. Pasta itself didn't fare much better. The actual pasta itself is definitely not made in house which is okay if it's still a good pasta. This one might have been I don't know because it has been cooked so long It had turned a bit mushy with no bite that you get with the preferred al dente. The sauce itself was a bit thin and I just didn't get the spices in there that I thought would make it great. Lastly I feel again that instead of receiving a spicy sausage I got a sweet Italian. In summary I would probably say I would definitely come back here and have a drink on the patio but I would be hesitant to try the food again. read more

I went to Canton Street for lunch today craving a BLT. Ipps does not have a BLT on their menu but my server, Miranda, told me not to worry, she'd fix me up!! HERE'S TO THE BEST BLT that I've ever eaten in my life!!! It was served on the most crunchy sourdough bread with sweet tomatoes, lettuce and awesome bacon. I had a cup of tomato basil as well. It was the perfect sandwich. This should be a staple for their lunch menu! The service was awesome!!! Miranda is a great addition to the staff. Visit Ipps on Canton. You can't go wrong! read more

Nice location in downtown Roswell. However, I thought the food was simply average. Started off with a basket of free garlic knots, which come with a marinara dipping sauce (nice touch!). These were really good and the marinara slightly spicy and enjoyable. I had the linguine with meatballs and my wife had the chicken Parmesan, which is also served with linguine. Pasta was fine and they gave me plenty of sauce and I appreciate that. The meatballs we're pretty flat on flavor. Two large meatballs come with the entrée and I did not eat them all, not because it was too much food but rather because they were not that good. I had a piece of my wife's chicken and it was good, yet nothing special. We sat outside dining on their patio. Fair warning: The outside dining is next to the restaurant next-door and just beyond the fence is that restaurant's smelly dumpster. Unfortunately, we sat in one of the two tables closest to the dumpster which was only about 15 feet away beyond the fence and we received wafts of stench from that dumpster about every 5 to 10 minutes. read more
