Hi, LThe customer service was average; the waitress appeared uncomfortable due to the heat, and our table was not checked on frequently. At times, we had to walk around looking for napkins ourselves. Regarding the food, my family and I ordered burgers, fries, wedge salad, and chicken wings. Unfortunately, the burgers lacked flavor, and the meat seemed plain and of lower quality. The wedge salad tasted unusually salty, which might be due to my preference for chicken as protein. On a positive note, the beer was excellent--perfectly refreshing for a hot day.The beers were great and refreshing. order #7 IPA, best beer there. The atmosphere was enjoyable as we sat outside, appreciating the weather and the lively surroundings. Overall, I would rate our experience a 5 out of 10. We came here last night because we could sit outside and listen to music. When my friend suggested Canyon Club Brewery, I remembered going there for a Yelp event in 2024. Since the hostess said outside was loud/difficult to have conversations, we decided to have dinner inside. I had the fish tacos and my friend had chicken wings and garlic fries. The fish was flaky and I loved the cream sauce. While I liked the ease of ordering online with the QR code, they ended up charging my debit card $35, which was $15 more than the cost of my entree. Fortunately they refunded the $35 when I checked my US Bank account. Not sure if the issue was a system glitch or a staff member incorrectly entering the amount. This is a fun brewery with a plenty of benches for outdoor seating. I came to see some old friends and it was a fun place for that. You order from the QR code and they bring you the order. I really like the beer there and they have many options. I tried the burger it was good. The Caesar salad with chicken had too little chicken. I was looking online at the menu and when I got there it was quite different so they should update that. Nice vibe with good indoor space and cute outdoor patio (with some space heaters). The hefeweizen was only OK but their Solid West Coast IPA was quite tasty. The buffalo wings were very good with a nice amount of tasty and slightly spicy sauce and the chicken itself was quite nicely crisped on the outside. The chopped cheese sandwich was like a burger on a hoagie roll and very very good. The garlic fries were decent. The bulgogi beef bowl could have used a little extra something (a mayo/cream sauce or maybe a little rice or noodles) but the beef was very tasty and flavorful and there was quite a lot of it. Nice spacious place. Understand it used to be a bank building. Lots of outdoor seating with a large fire pit. It was a little too chilly so we sat inside. The inside has a large bar on one side and tables and booths in the rest of the space. The two of us ordered a wedge salad and the smash burger to share. What a great spot to kick back with friends on a sunny day! There's plenty of outdoor seating, including two cozy fire pit areas that add a nice touch. We showed up late on a Saturday afternoon, so seating was a bit limited but we lucked out with an outdoor table. I was with a friend and we shared a beer sampler and a hot pretzel--perfect for a quick bite. We were only able to stay for a short visit before heading to another event, but it was just enough to know I want to come back. The indoor space looked just as inviting, and the service was excellent throughout. I would have preferred a few more entree options on the overall menu, but there was a decent variety. Chicken tortilla soup could have used a little more flavor, but it was nicely filled with rice and chicken, and a few beans. In our group, the fried chicken sandwich was huge and looked really good, as did the salads. Burger and garlic fries were perfect. Popped into Canyon Club on Friday the 4th after a bike ride on the trail, Moraga -Lafayette. Beer hit the spot , I had the Solid IPA. Yum. Also ordered the Wedge Salad. Super happy with this salad which was very tasty, not soggy with the blue cheese. And bacon was real bacon, not bacon bits. Really nice. Will definitely return, outside garden is so nice! read more

Had brunch here last weekend. The food was terrible. My wife and I both had the eggs with sausages and tater tots and my son had a burger. It was all bad. Honestly, I could have done a better job at home. My wife and I realized two days later that we both had upset stomachs later that day and into the next day (she didn't have a beer, so we're almost certain it was the food). I also had the celestial hazy IPA, which was bar none the worst hazy IPA I have ever had. I had a taste of their other IPA, and somewhow that was even worse. I really want to like this place, but the beer has always been mediocre at best and the food has ranged from serviceable to terrible. They really need to improve. Maybe bring in some high quality guest beers (there are so many local options). Service from the girls outside was excellent, they were really great, otherwise this would have been a one star review. read more

Gotta say, this wasn't the best experience. We thought the Danville location was decent, so we decided to check out the Moraga spot, assuming the "main" one would be even better. Turns out, not so much. The service was basically nonexistent--you get seated, scan a QR code to order, and even have to grab your own water and refills at the bar. For $21 burgers (+3% surcharge), I was expecting something a lot better, but it was seriously mediocre and not worth it at all. Talk about an oasis in the blistering heat! Came here today for lunch and what a cool relaxing vibe they have here. For guys who are fans of The Big Lebowski, the men's room is like a shrine to that movie . The inside is classic rustic brewery with plenty of natural light and an excellent air circulation system as it was air conditioned without feeling like a refrigerator yet cool enough to stave off the oppressive 96 degree Fahrenheit weather outside. The beer I had was their recommended dark lager and it was a perfect 10. For lunch, had their fried chicken sandwich and it too was a perfect 10. Given the super friendly service and calm and friendly customers all around us, I can easily report that I couldn't have a tastier more relaxing lunch experience. Blow me down. Right now. I mean it. After attending a Yelp event a couple of weeks ago (and was very impressed and pleased at the drafts and grub), I was intrigued to come back to try the burger, and bring the gf and pooch along. First, lovely outside area. Dog friendly. Heaters. Varied sitting spaces, some with firepit. Second, wow, the burger. Super fresh, loved the house-ground brisket beef, and all the standard classic burger fixin's. Seriously, might be the best burger I've had in NoCal (Broderick and Danville Brewery, second and third). We also got the burger with upgraded garlic fries. We've gone twice and tried three times: third time was an hour wait so we went elsewhere. This is the new go-to place in Danville! For a new place, they are doing an amazingly great job. The place is packed and the energy level is a 10. What's great? Decor, concept, outdoor seating, bar. The process of ordering via Toast app is fine in terms of the process, but there are some drawbacks. There is virtually zero human engagement as you do not have a server: you have someone who brings you food. We were a table of four and they don't know who ordered what so it's always a bit clunky. We all felt it better to use the app but still have a server who checks in for water, napkins, food or drink suggestions. Sammy (?) seated us and came by at the end and she highly engaging: we wish she was our server! The beer was excellent. Appetizers were excellent: especially the bacon. Entrees were good but unexceptional. Quantities modest so a $21 chicken sandwich won't leave most full, and it's a bit bland. Noise levels are extremely high. Lots of young families with small kids running around. Perhaps the noise levels encourage a more causal environment for the parents. We all loved the place and will be back on a regular basis. We came to this place because it has an outside dog friendly patio and we had our dog with us. We ordered the Bulgogi sandwich which was surprisingly very good. The meat was tender and tasty, and I loved the pickled vegetables that were part of the sandwich. The service was good, but you order off of a QR code, which I did not like. This is how a pickle can kill your dinner/Saturday night vibe. I like to support local businesses and we feel the food and facilities are above average. We really like this place. So we decided to go there for dinner. I do not post often on Yelp , and this is a long post, but the bottom line is the food and space are above average (there are not many choices in Moraga), we really like the place, but my experience with the management tonight was they have no customer service skills. $4 for two small pickle spears for my daughter's burger is unreasonable. The management, I should say Tyler in particular, has no people skills and is not familiar with his own menu. My daughter ordered the kids burger which she enjoys. She asked for a pickle and she got a small pickle spear. She later asked for another one. When we got the bill, it had a charge of $2 each for the small pickle spears for $4. I told the server that I thought that was unreasonable so I asked to speak to the manager. Tyler came over and just kind of stared at me for a while and asked if I wanted something. I said I wanted to discuss the $4 pickle charge. After much discussion to determine if he was in fact management because did not act in a manner I expected for the business, he said he was an assistant manager. He then reaffirmed that yes, the pickle spears are $2 each. I said that I thought that was unreasonable and that the server should had told us that. He agreed that the server should have told us that but offered no other solution. I then asked if there was anyone else I could speak to and he said yes but they are all under him so it would not do me any good. It took a while for him to identify that he was the manager in charge on that Saturday night. He stated that the kids $11 burger does not come with a pickle spear and they were $2 each. I then said I see you have a whole pickle on the bar snack menu and I thought that was $4 and he said he was not aware they sold a whole pickle. He then left our area and took my credit card and bill. When he came back, I showed him THEIR menu and it has a picture of a large pickle for $4. He seemed to be unaware, but I asked him how many spears they get from one pickle. He said maybe 3 or 4. I then concluded that Tyler not only has no customer service skills, he does not know his menu or the kitchen/food. It is pretty obvious that there are probably at least 6 spears to a whole pickle, meaning that a whole pickle by the spear would be $12 , not $4. I think that is unreasonable. But I determined it would be senseless to continue the conversation. It's really just the principle of the matter and how it was (or was not) handled. He brought my receipt but I had to ask for my credit card back. I'm not sure what he was going to do with my card if I did not request it back. He did end up taking off the $4. it's a good thing my daughter does not like ketchup, mustard, lettuce, etc on her burger because who knows what the kids burger would end up costing. This was not how my family wanted to spend our Saturday night dinner. But, oh well. read more

The couple times that I have visited Canyon club have been a mixed bag experience. The short version of it is tasty food, but a lot of errors in service. The food was all fairly good- large portions of really well tasting meals. Fried chicken sandwich with the Aioli is my personal favorite. Drinks: stick to the the beer, I would not recommend venturing to their cocktails. Their other mixed drinks do not come out in any quality and have consistently tasted as if they were made incorrectly. Service: we have had a couple repeated issues with service. For instance, we had a reservation that was confirmed multiple times that the servers gave away because they read the times wrong. We also had instances of orders being put in twice somehow and receiving duplicates of our orders, even though we had already received ours. The outside atmosphere is nice, but some of the tables that you sit at are low quality and shake pretty consistently (dangerous when you just received full drinks that might spill!) the inside is a bit of an odd ball collection, especially the bathrooms which are curiously movie themed. The App that you order through has been improved however. It used to be a very clunky version but is now much more refined read more

I ordered takeout July 31, evening time from the dinner menu. I ordered 3 orders of the "CCB" pork tacos. Service was good, when I got home I took one bite of the tacos and I was chewing on pork fat. I inspected my tacos and found a lot of fat pork globs. I took out the globs and threw them away. Then I thought something had got to be good, NOT! The tortilla chips were stale and the salsa was tasteless. I have had better pork tacos and paid less than $18 for 3 tacos. The lesson I learned, I will stick with going to my favorite Mexican restaurant and pay a fair price for good food quality ingredients. read more

Since moving to Orinda, our family has frequented this place often: they are family and fur baby friendly. They have a lovely outdoor seating area: picnic tables, fire pits, and bar stool seating. The inside is dripping with gorgeous indoor plants. The bathrooms are a kick! The women's restroom is themed after "The Princess Bride". Their beer is by far the star of their menu. They have a massive menu of beer and wine based drinks. The food is okay.. I'd say my favorite is the appetizer platter. For ordering: you can scan a QR and the food/drinks will be brought out to your table. Overall, my family enjoys this place and are happy to have them nearby! read more

I went with a couple of friends here for a nice dinner. We shared the brewery platter, which for 28 usd was unimpressive. Note: the "German potato" pancakes were not great. Very starchy and bland. They were probably frozen beforehand and were square. My Oma is rolling in her grave at such an offense. :( Other than that the food was great and we had big portions. The macaroni side honestly works great as a standalone is really good. It is probably the best mac and cheese that I have had in at least 5 years if not more. I also ordered the kids chicken tenders but ended up taking them home on a to go box because I was so full. The wait staff were very fast and all of the things that I asked for in the notes for the order were done 100%. We did eat inside, which was nice and quiet. However, the people in this area are pretty notorious for not supervising their children and letting their little children run around. I wouldn't blame this on the restaurant as much as Lamorindans struggle to be responsible. Also the ladies restaurant room is "The Princess Bride" theme and is so cool!!!! read more

Saturday evening was packed unsurprisingly, but still was able to order beers at the bar pretty quickly and easily (and not have to use the QR code system). Beers were tasty and cold, no complaints. We tried 4 different kinds and all were on point. Nice that the beer selection was Not all IPAs like many other places that go overboard. Diego and the other bartenders were super chill, helpful, and fun. Big props to them for making the experience more enjoyable and less transactional. Will be going back to hang and try more beers. So after several visits, I have to say I just can't stand the order-by-app ordering system here, and frankly it's enough to keep me away. I understand that some people may like it, and it's probably efficient, but to me it's become a dealbreaker. So I have to give my info to some company I know nothing about? I have to spend time typing in stuff , including credit card info, when normally I could get a beer going from a server. This last visit I actually forgot to finalize the transaction, and didn't realize it until I waited 10 minutes wondering where my beer was. Yes it was my error, but that's actually my point- this doesn't happen with an actual server. A BEER PLACE is a place where you especially want a personal connection with a server. I may want to chat about the IPA or ask about the Hazy. But nope, servers are essentially doordashers here. Want extra sour cream after your chips have been served? Hope somebody notices you. I may be limiting myself, as this system is becoming more popular and is probably the wave of the future, but a man's gotta draw a line somewhere. read more

Pros: Very good food, very tasty beer, great music, and Saturday night almost seemed like family night what with all the little kids dancing in front of the stage. Cons: Nobody to take your order; you have to scan a QR code and then try to order from a poorly designed web site where the beers are listed in an order that doesn't match what's on the wall behind the bar. The only human interaction was with a food runner that spent a minute bringing us our food & drinks. For that they charge a mandatory "service fee" that isn't disclosed anywhere until you get the bill, and they still pull the old "Would you like to tip 15%, 18% or 20%?"
