This place is my all-time favorite pizza spot in the Bay Area. This was my first time at this location, I've previously only been to the Montclair and Berkeley locations. I almost always get the 2 slices of pizza of the day ($8) and add their green sauce. I've tried the majority of their pizza-of-the-day flavors and they've never missed. The pizza pictured was Roasted Yukon Gold Potatoes, Baby Heirloom Tomatoes, Baby Spinach mixed with Caramelized Onions, Mozzarella, Pecorino, Fresh Herbs, and Infused Sage Garlic Oil -- so good and full of flavor. I also recently realized that all of their pizzas are vegetarian, which is great if you don't eat meat or want a good vegetarian option. Service is usually pretty quick -- normally about 10-20 minutes. This specific visit took closer to 30 minutes, but they were extremely packed and had a large party there. This location is also much bigger than the Berkeley and Montclair ones. They have a nice outdoor seating area, which was perfect since it was such a hot day. read more

Love Sliver, one of my favorite pizzas. Brings me back to my very short stint in Berkeley. This is the place where I found out that potatoes and corn belong on pizza, and that even as a big meat eater, pizza can be just as good vegetarian style. Love the concept of the daily pizza, though it doesseem like they've sort of abandoned that a little with their expansion. I guess it's understandable because people just don't get it and the justifiable foot traffic for a single daily pizza on Telegraph or Shattuck just doesn't pan out in the suburbs. Green sauce is to die for. Never thought I'd be drenching my pizza in salsa but it works. It's a reach, but I wish they'd open one out in Roseville or somewhere in the sac area where I'm at now. Great experience! Came in for a late lunch for the first time today and it was not busy at all. Happy hour daily, cool offers like half & half pizza, 2 slices + sliver or wings, etc., great ambience and lots of seating and in a great location of Lafayette where it's easy to find parking easily made this a 4 star pizza spot. We got some wings with the Sliver buffalo sauce and it was delicious and had a nice kick. Also got 2 slices + sliver of the tomato pizza and a whole pepperoni pizza. Both were delicious and not greasy! Nice crust and perfect amount of toppings. Will be back and definitely recommend! read more

This place is still an underrated hidden gem in Lafayette! I was not thrilled when they were vegetarian only but even their veggie pizzas are top notch. They have a corn pizza that is the best thing in town. Now that they offer a full range of toppings including pepperoni and sausage I can't stay away. I will also say that they always have two mouse made sauces you can add. The green cilantro sauce go great with anything but especially that corn pizza! This is the first time I've left a one-star review, and unfortunately, it feels deserved. I love the Silver pizzerias in Berkeley and Oakland, so when I was in the area, this seemed like a great option for a quick takeout lunch. I ordered the seasoned waffle-cut fries, but they tasted freezer-burned and had very little flavor, which was disappointing--especially for $9. For the pizza, I chose the potato pizza, which I was really looking forward to since I enjoy the potatoes on Silver's pizzas at other locations. Unfortunately, this one was not enjoyable. There were onions under the cheese that could have added good flavor, but they were completely raw. Every bite had crunchy, raw onions, which made the pizza difficult to eat. Overall, it felt frustrating to spend around $30 on a lunch I didn't enjoy, and the leftovers ended up being thrown away. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend this location. read more

I had a recent Uber Eats order go completely sideways, the pizza arrived with the box open, no security seal, and honestly looked like it could've been tampered with. I had to throw it out, and immediately contacted Uber Eats support... who not only denied my refund request but ended the chat on me. It's now been almost a week of back-and-forth with them and still no resolution. Horrible customer service. Enter Reese at Sliver Pizzeria, the real MVP. I called the store directly out of frustration, and Reese not only listened, but he actually called Uber himself to try to get my refund processed. Even they told him they couldn't do anything (which says a lot...). Despite that, Reese took the time, during a busy shift, to make sure I felt heard and taken care of. He's been helping me with this issue since SUNDAY and never once brushed me off. He went above and beyond and even offered me a replacement pizza on the house, no hesitation, no attitude, no excuses, just genuine, exceptional customer service. Because of Reese, I'll 100% be coming back to Sliver Pizzeria, but I'll be ordering in person, not through Uber Eats. Amazing service, Reese! Came here with my family the other day cus we were craving pizza so here we are. We ordered 3 different pizzas. We ordered the mushroom pizza, the corn pizza, and the pizza of the day. All of the pizzas were so delicious. I also liked their sauce/condiment station. At first when I came to this place, I'll admit I was a bit skeptical because they don't offer any meat options. Old pizzeria - quality ingredients and you can get any pizza by the slice so that's nice. You also get a lot of toppings but crust is weak. For a place that seems to make it from scratch, the crust is surprisingly just adequate ... maybe because they offer a ton of gluten free pizzas, they are used to making-eating crust "gluten free" style (chewier and less taste) so a strange combo of artisan and quality toppings with frozen pizza base crust ... not terrible, just not great. read more

Sliver is my new favorite pizza. The sourdough crust is soft, yet perfect chewiness and just seriously delicious. The cheese is very fresh and flavorful and I found out is made locally. They are also FAST! Pizza came out in 12 minutes somehow and was perfect! The best part is that the pizza doesn't make you feel groggy or full. I literally worked out after and felt great. The gluten free pizza is good here, super thin crust though as a warning. The first time I had it I think it was a little too crunchy, but today it was perfectly cooked and the pizza of the day was super tasty and flavorful. We were both happy. It's a little steep in price for such a thin crust, but overall we enjoyed it. The staff was nice and worked super fast to get the pizza out. The sauces don't taste like they go with pizza tbh, but that's probably a larger corporate decision. The place is huge too, you can easily bring a large group to hangout. We went here the other day for lunch. It was nice, super clean and lots of seating. Service was good and fast. It was super quiet. We got the whole corn pizza and they had the special green sauce for you to dip the slices in. They had three different options and we picked the corn pizza. The crust was really chewy and crispy and all the ingredients were super fresh and tasty. I would highly recommend ordering the corn pizza. Selected "wild mushrooms" as a topping on all the 3 pizzas I ordered and got regular button mushrooms on all. Not sure how they messed it up 3 times!! And the special instructions were ignored. Food - I had a corn pizza and it was absolutely delicious!!! It was one of the best pizzas I ever had. The place is super spacious and TONS of seating. The restaurant is very clean and has a bathroom. There's a lot of TVs mounted up on the walls (when I was there it was playing a basketball game). There's also a TV in the outdoor seating. The guys who worked there were pretty nice. Nothing over the top, just the bare minimum I would say. I noticed that most people get take out and only some people would sit down and eat. So glad Sliver Pizza is in Lafayette. I was genuinely bummed when the Danville location closed, so having this spot open nearby feels like a win for the neighborhood. If you like gourmet, veggie forward pizzas, this place is hard to beat. The sourdough crust is outstanding, easily some of the best around. Their rotating slices with mushrooms, goat cheese, feta, onions, and corn are consistently excellent and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The Cheeseboard roots in Berkeley definitely show. Customer service deserves a shout out. The manager is super friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating, which makes a big difference. You actually feel appreciated as a customer. They have more than just pizza too. Great fries, solid salads, plus gelato, beer, and wine. They recently added chicken, wings, pepperoni, and chicken options, which is nice if you are with a mixed group. If you are into a more gourmet, bohemian style pizza and want to support a quality local chain, Sliver should absolutely be in your pizza rotation. The corn pizza here is so good!! I'm not a feta cheese fan in general so was initially hesitant on trying this but was so glad I did. It's one of my favorite pizzas! There is something about the combination of corn, French feta cheese, yellow onions, cilantro, and garlic-infused olive oil on a sour dough crust that makes this pizza so delicious. The pizza comes with a few lime wedges too. I prefer their house-made Sliver green sauce and Sliver fire sauce (self-serve) over my usual ranch dressing for pizza. At $28 you may think it's a bit price but it's worth every penny! There are plenty of tables in the restaurant and ample parking in the private lot. I usually call in my order about 10 minutes prior to arrival to minimize the wait time. For dessert, they also serve a few flavors of local gelato. read more

I was very disappointed when the SLIVER pizzeria in Danville closed. But wait... they opened a new location in Lafayette's La Fiesta Square? I came here with one of my best friends for dinner and a catch up. This place was in my mind as a place to grab delicious pizza (corn, potato, mushroom, tomato, and a pizza of the day) and margaritas (lemon, mango, strawberry, prickly pear, guava, and classic). It's a great place because the pizzas are completely vegetarian. Make sure to get the sliver green sauce and sliver fire sauce to level up the pizza (yes, it's vegan too). We also noticed that there were appetizers/sharable items at this location. We opted for the veggie nachos, which had a generous amount of mozzarella and goat cheese. Need to come back next time to try their waffle fries. They also have baked veggies, corn on the cob, and a cheese plate too. Generally, I really like their pizzas. When they're fresh, it smells amazing and is quite tasty. They don't seem to hold over all that well, though, and after a day, the texture hardens quite a lot. The nerve! As for the pizza itself? Crispy crust, fresh toppings, and delicious flavors that rotate daily--because, you know, variety is apparently a crime. And God forbid a restaurant have a set menu instead of bending to every individual's custom order like a personal chef. I love cheeseboard, but do not make it over there often enough. So I was so excited when Sliver opened a few years ago on this side of the tunnel. They have the green sauce (self-serve and free!! when you go inside, unlike cheeseboard). We usually get pizza of the day and have pretty much tried all of their vegetarian pizzas and love all of them, but I see they recently expanded their menu to include non-veg options and excited to try them! Pizzas are great, service is always friendly (casual- order/ pay at counter and take to go or seat). They offer pizza slices and half pizzas only until 4pm and after 4, you have to get an entire pizza. But if you only really want a slice, you can ask them and sometimes (not always) they will let you order just a slice after 4. The one thing I can never figure out is why this place is never crowded - tables and seats are ALWAYS available. Food is so good, service is so friendly, and plenty of parking (metered parking lot - free in the evening). The best thing here is the cilantro sauce. It is pure cracks. I eat it with a spoon as well as drench my pizza in it. OK, the pizza is good also. There is a rotating "pizza of the day" if you are looking for slices or half pizzas. Can order something else if getting a whole pizza. They have beer and wine and hard liquor is coming as of this review. They lost all alcohol for awhile due to not renewing their license. So onto the pizza. It's all vegetarian. Yes, I said it...no meat. As a keto/metatarsal kind of guy if was initially disturbed by this but having been there multiple times I guess I can go once in awhile with out cow, pork, lamb, fish or assorted road kill. So happy to see Sliver opening new locations! I've only ever been to the Berkeley location so I'm glad there's one closer to me. Came on a Friday night around 7 and they were decently busy! The parking lot is metered which is a bit annoying, not sure if there's free parking lot behind or not. The interior is pretty big and tons of seating. Huge shoutout to the workers- they were super friendly and definitely made our experience better! Didn't know if it was common knowledge for Sliver but you can only get half a pizza, 2 slices (anything besides a full pizza) before 5pm- after 5pm full pizzas only!! Not a huge deal but something to note. You can also get their standard pizzas: corn, tomato, potato and mushroom (not sure if this rotates, but as of 2/3/23 it was these options) in addition to their pizza of the day. The pizza of the day I got was the one with cremini mushrooms and it was delicious!!!! You can always check their pizza of the day on their website. Great ratio of toppings and crust, doesn't feel overly heavy and great flavor! And don't forget the sauce!!! The green sauce is my favorite- citrusy and lots of cilantro. I had heard about Sliver from a friend, and have been interested in trying it for awhile. Finally tried it out today. I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that all their pizzas are meat-free. One of my goals in the new year is to support more vegetarian restaurants. Sliver also offers a vegan option if you opt for a whole pizza. My partner and I shared a half pizza of the day. It was very tasty. It had mozzarella, mushrooms, bell peppers, and goat cheese. For some reason they don't do a sauce base on the pizza, but the flavors were still excellent. They have sauces you can add on top of the pizza, including a tangy herb and lime sauce which was so good I could literally drink it on its own. The pizza is perfectly thin-crust, so not a major carbo bomb. They also have different flavors of margaritas. I had to wash down my healthy pizza with one. ;) Service was great, the gentleman helping us was very friendly. The interior is nice and spacious, good place for a pizza party. Will return! read more
