Returned to Canyon Muffler roughly 5 years later with a new car wanting a new exhaust. I talked to Neil saying I don't like the look of the muffler hanging low, want to change the exhaust tips, and not sound loud at all (I like it quiet and subtle rumble). Neil suggested Muffler delete and custom chrome tip the shop provided. I was hesitant for a muffler delete because some vehicles get too loud; but Neil is knowledgeable on his cars and said my 2.5L 2014 Jetta wouldn't sound loud deleting. Got it removed and changed the tips for a very affordable price. Excellent welding work, and the sound is super subtle (not noticeable, no droning, low rumble). Perfect job! read more

While having a major service performed on my 2011 Honda Accord at Kiwi Motors today, I asked my mechanic if there was anything that he could do to deter catalytic converter thieves. He recommended Canyon Muffler. I called and spoke with Neil, who was friendly and professional, and he said that they could weld a heavy duty chain to the catalytic converter and car frame. Since I was already in the area, I asked if I could drive over after my car service was finished. He said "yes". The whole process only took about 30 minutes and was reasonably priced. He said that a special type of saw is needed to cut through this type of chain and it's something that these thieves don't typically use. What a wonderful experience, added bonus was showing Neil how to add cool Apple Watch faces! Great guy. I highly recommend them to anyone needing this type of (including exhaust system) service. My wife's 2006 Corolla developed an exhaust leak (and minor noise) near the engine. She asked her normal shop about it, but they couldn't find anything wrong. I rode with her the other day and could smell the exhaust fumes... something was definitely wrong and its a safety issue. I don't have tools with me, so could not check it out - sounded a bit like a cracked exhaust manifold gasket which I've dealt with on past cars. I took her car to Canyon Muffler and the guys immediately checked it out and confirmed it as either a cracked manifold gasket or the manifold itself. They started work immediately and checked the gasket (which was in decent shape). They identified the real problem was a cracked exhaust manifold. They removed it and showed me the hairline cracks - yup that's the problem. Erick then welded the cracks (which will make it stronger than when first cast), replaced the parts. The noise and exhaust fumes are gone! These guys are fantastic! They are like vehicle surgeons - knowledgeable and proficient - with all of the right tools and equipment! The price was very reasonable for the amount of work - if I had to work on this it would have been a day long job with a few bruises and cuts - they were done in about 90 minutes. They also advised to have the engine mounts fixed so the exhaust system is not strained again, resulting in recurring problems. (They don't repair the mounts so advised I take it to a shop that handles this sort of work - about a $300 job with parts). Highly recommend this shop!!! Honest, hardworking and friendly! read more

RV Owners Please read!!!! My husband NEVER comments on wether he gets great service or not, but he asked that I write a review advising how great this facility was. We have such a hard time getting our RV Smogged due to some smog facilities lack of knowledge or how difficult it is to get the RV in and out of garage areas. I was told this week that I had a bad catalytic Converter after my own mechanic performed a computerized test. My own mechanic is a good guy and very honest but he missed what Neil picked up right away. He found a disconnected vacume hose that created the false reading and might have cost me a thousand dollars or more to "correct". Neil corrected the problem, told me to come back the next day and see if the reading was different. It was and I passed the smog test. Great shop. Great people who work there.
