Needed my cat rewelded was cracked at the weld because well broken motor mounts my guy here welded it in under 10 mins was here maximum 20 mins did call ahead dou make sure tgey weren't too busy was told to come at a certain time and voila! Decently priced too. read more

Brought my 2004 Honda CRV to this shop on advice from my brother's childhood friend, Hilary, to secure my new cat converter and to fix a bad weld job from a shop in L.A. Neal (Neel?) and his son has my car up on a lift in no time. After he installed a short pipe between cat and muffler, I asked about securing my cat (that is, from another shop). Neal was reluctant, citing low value of aftermarket catalytic converters and not wanting to charge me more money for "unnecessary work." But he had it done--and beautifully, I may add--after I explained my living situation near Koreatown. In all, paid ~$310 for awesome underbody work, quick turnaround, and peace of mind. i've got an HKS exhaust and wanted to a resonator delete. what i asked for is to fabricate a straight pipe that can be fitted and swapped with the resonator if i needed to, because HKS designed it so that the resonator portion of the system can be bolted on and off. However they told me it's not possible because of the donut shaped flange and the flat faced flange on the other side. Mind you this isn't a crazy curved exhaust. They suggested i just cut the exhaust and have them weld a pipe for me for 125. No thanks read more

Had my car up on the rack and found that I need to replace the catalytic converter due to an oil leak in my engine, leaking oil into the converter. He is an honest and caring man. everybody there is extremely nice, but the prices are up there, which is something I should've expected from a shop in Santa Clarita but I just got quoted $150 to put a resonator on. Just go to Luna muffler shop in quoted me just $80 and then when he saw my car, he lowered it down 60$ He also took the muffler off of my friends, Civic SI and he was overcharged as well for that and paid $300 for a muffler delete and a tip to put on, but whenever we went to Lunas muffler shop he did the same 150$. read more

I came here to change my catalytic converter it's a great job good service . owner is very kind and friendly. highly recommended

probably the worst experience I had woth a muffler shop. I have a 23 brz and I wanted a varex muffler (valved muffler) installed on my car. I was told $250. I wouldn't even have paid $10 for this trash job. I explained what I wanted and dropped off the car and went to work. when I came back I was very disappointed. the muffler was hanging low so the tips looked off and not sitting against the body of the car. The way the hangars were mounted was also very dumb. I specifically told them I didn't want them to cut off my stock exhaust and use parts from it to mount this one and they did anyway. the tips I provided are slip on clamp type tips and instead of using the clamps they spot welded them on. and they spot welded them on crooked. they didn't listen to anything I said and did a trash job installing it. I will never use this place again. maybe if you have a small easy thing to be welded you can use them but for anything slightly complicated go elsewhere. the People there are very nice but nice Doesn't equate to a good product. I would give Canyon Muffler and Smog 10 stars if I could! Neil is so amazing, and genuine! As a young woman who knows little to nothing about cars, I feel like I often get taken advantage of at different auto-shops if I ever need help, this wasn't the case at Canyon. I came into the shop after my catalytic convertor, and my muffler had been stolen, and an exhaust/gas pipe (can't remember the specific name) was also slashed, and I had been breathing in bad fumes! Neil charged me three times less than other places I had gotten estimates from, and even knocked off some more money at checkout when I realized I was short. He said, "No one should have to pay for something that was stolen from them." Seriously such a great guy, he had it all fixed in just about 2 hours too! 10/10 writing this review for Canyon anywhere that will let me :) anyone in SCV in need of car help should head here read more
