Beautiful women, awesome beer selection and the best food are a hard combination to beat! This restaurant has all that. The beer selection is by far one of the most comprehensive in the area. I had an Iron City from Pittsburgh while my girlfriend had a beer from Belgium that I had never heard of. A great sports atmosphere permeates everything. I attended after an Islanders game the place was loaded with (Dejected) fans. Every TV had a game on and it was fun to watch. The best feature of Canz is not the beer or even the beautiful women it is the terrific "homemade" food. Vincent Pomara has done an amazing job in preparing a well rounded menu of pub fare. It is of no surprise that he is a formally trained chef as his food reflects it. Several dishes have a nice flair for the tastefully dramatic. Wingz are the make it or break it for any sports restaurant and these wings deliver. The variety was nice and they were meaty and delicious. They are the must have on the menu! The food was the most pleasant surprise of the experience. Of course let's be honest what attracts you to this place is the gorgeous women! They do not disappoint! Extremely beautiful women serve at your beck and call and do an outstanding job of being flirtatious while maintaining a professional perimeter. They had a happy hour so decided to order a drink using a brand from the "well". 1st was with tonic and was $4.50. The second was was just the well vodka with ice. Was told it was $7. Ive been here twice on a Wednesday night when they have karaoke. The karaoke is entertaining but the food, drinks and service sucks. The margaritas are disgusting straight sour mix no tequila. The food is gross. I ordered chicken fingers and she asked if i wanted them grilled or fried. I should've cancelled it then.. They came out as big chicken cutlets but just gross and fake. The worst is the service though. When the girl finally made her way over she asked what we wanted she wasn't friendly, and didn't even say the specials or that it was ladies night. We went there to watch football. The food is decent. I like the fact that there are so many tv's surrounding the place to watch games. They also don't play music like other places you can watch & hear. My boyfriend and I ordered wings and a hamburger meal to split. When the burger arrived, I noticed the pickle & coleslaw missing (stated on the menu: is INCLUDED). We motioned her over and specifically asked "where is the pickle that's supposed to come with my meal". I didn't bother to ask her about the coleslaw because either of us was going to eat it anyway. She brings over 2 slices of pickles the size of my pinky. (BTW, my pinkies are tiny & slim...2 1/2 inches long...you get the picture) Our waitress was attentive and friendly throughout the night......until the bitter end when we received our bill. There marked an extra $1 for a pickle and and extra $1 for dipping sauce for the wings. I inquired about the pickle charge first. She claimed to have charge us for an extra pickle since I asked for it. I told her I didn't order the extra pickle. I specifically asked for the pickle that's included in my meal. Waitress argument #1: there are 2 of you so I took the initiative to give you another one, that's why I charged you. Waitress argument #2: there is no pickle button on the computer so I can't do anything about it. WHAAAAAT? Then what "button" did you press to charge me for it????? So now, I got technical. Granted blue cheese "& celery" was an extra $.95 charge. We ordered ranch instead of the blue cheese. #1. We were never brought our celery t (which again, is included) #2. Why am I being charged $1 when on the menu states $.95????? And then I asked about my coleslaw which supposedly came with the meal. The waitress instantly lashes at us with an attitude. Her exact words: "so what? you want your coleslaw NOW??!!" I say no, forget it just ring me up. I notice her walk to her manager. She is obviously complaining to him. I see him waving his hands in distress. She comes back, does not even look at the table and SLAMS the receipt & holder on the table and walks away. I go out to eat often. My burger was tasty, but the oversized hard bun ruined it. The fries were standard, though generous. The other entree was a chicken "club", which was a breaded fried, frozen chicken breast on the oversized hard bun, with tomato, onion, mayo and possibly a spec of bacon. I'm a frequent visitor at CANZ and I must say the girls there are all pretty cool. They have two fers everyday for lunch and I can get a cheese burger plus a free beer for $5.
