I bought my SUV specifically because of its towing capacity, but was told by the dealer it didn't have a hitch. We even negotiated down the price of the car because of this. Went to cap world to get a hitch installed only to be told that I already had one! Imaging my surprise! They ended up refunding my deposit and showed me how to pop of the cover if I ever need to use the hitch, and where to buy the ball for it. They could easily have just charged me; I never would have known the difference. We recently had a cap installed on our Dodge Ram and the install included the cap's interior lighting. Yesterday, we realized that instead of using the access point through the firewall, they punched a hole in the floor of the truck itself to run the wire. They plugged up the hole with some sort of black material, but really, now the integrity of the undercarriage is compromised. That is the area that takes a beating especially in the winter with salt and now that there's a hole in it, there's no going back. The cap itself is fine and nice. But do not expect a clean job when it comes to electrical. Then again, we consistently see "professionals" cut corners when it comes to installs. My husband should have done the electrical himself. read more

Not happy with my one and only experience I know what I exactly ordered but they ordered the wrong part. I took three separate trips to get the right parts and refund. I wasted three hours (1 hour per round trip). When I was getting my refund, one of the employee made it sound like I'm the one who ordered the wrong part. I just wanted to write a review of these guys. I purchased a used ARE cap from Craigslist that had no keys and I emailed Cap World in Laurel about getting a set of replacement keys. They replied within a couple hours, telling I should come by and they can see if they help me out. I swung by the place a week later during the lunch hour, and there was a bit of a crowd. There were people making big purchases, people inquiring about the prices of caps (some are pricey!) but the staff there were courteous, honest and had a zero pressure salesmanship. When I was finally helped, they checked all of the ARE keys available and finally found one that locked my cap. Anyways, even though I was there for a very small purchase, I can tell that they are honest and customer service oriented folks. read more
