I dealt with William the owner as soon as I walked through the door. He was as polite and professional as you can be. He never tried to upsell me. He explained all my options for Tinting and even gave my wife and I demonstration to show how the Xpel XR-Plus works and what sets it apart from the other Options. There is a true difference in the films being offered. Be mindful that you get what you pay for. I chose the Top Tier film for our car. I also chose to have them hand wash and wax the car. That was the best part. We thought we were doing a decent job keeping the paint looking good until we saw the final product. I am totally satisfied and impressed with their work. Look, if you think a business can tint your entire car for $250 don't go here. Go to Autozone, by the film and then drive to the ghetto to the Liquor store and ask the cashier which one of his "regulars" works on cars. Avoid this business at all costs !! I took my brand new 2025 Lucid to them and had a horrible…read moreservice experience. Initially I was quoted 2 days for the work to be completed. It turned out to be a full 9 days before I received the vehicle back. Upon inspection, I noted a few areas that appeared to be flawed with bubbles/ lines, etc. I was assured that this was a normal part of the curing process, and to allow a week or two for the film to adjust. About two days later, I noticed that the film was completely lifting off of the trunk of my vehicle. I was told that the tech didn't cut the piece long enough. I gave them back the vehicle for a second application of the PPF to the trunk area. They took another 4 days to have the film reapplied. Again, I received the vehicle back with imperfections that I was assured would adjust in the curing phase. On my follow up appointment, after the curing phase, an area on my trunk had not adjusted as I was advised it would and required yet another (3rd) application of the PPF. I took the vehicle back a third time, at which point they were also to apply the windshield protection film to the vehicle. I was promised a day, it took an additional two. On the day I was supposed to receive the vehicle back, I received a call advising me that during the 3rd application to the trunk they had lifted the paint off of my vehicle (they are not a body shop). Therefore the vehicle had to be towed to a body shop for painting. That took about 5-6 weeks. Once I received the vehicle from the body shop I was able to fully inspect the windshield film that was applied to the vehicle. Upon inspection I noticed the very same imperfections (bubbles, lines,etc) on the windshield. Some of these are in the actual field of vision for the driver and obscure the view. So now, this is another thing I will have to have redone. Overall, it just seems like really sloppy work. They claim to have 20+ years experience in the business, but I did not receive a level of service that reflected that at all. Don't believe me? Check out Google reviews. Afterwards, I contacted Hot Tint in May 2022. They responded to me that day and told me to stop by the shop. I made an appointment for later that week. When I arrived, I asked them to install the unit and a backup camera. I can't recall how much time it took but it was done in a reasonable amount of time and I'm happy with their service. I called a few other shops around this time. A couple had other projects and couldn't get to me for a few months. A couple of others didn't want to touch the van because of its age, manufactured in 1989. Hot Tint was straight-forward. They said let them see what I have and they'll let me know if they could use what I had or needed something else. I appreciate that approach. I did have a couple of problems but they were responsive. While driving home, my radio rebooted twice. The cable came loose so they told me to return to the shop so that they could fix it. The second is my clock resets to 12:00 every time the vehicle is restarted. They told me to bring it by so that they can fix it but I haven't. I'm rarely on the screen to see the time and just had other priorities. I mention these items to show that they were responsive and willing to troubleshoot the problem. I rate them high also because there are many mechanics and technicians who can work on a classic vehicle but refuse to do so. There are a handful like Hot Tint that jumps right in and do the job. I'm finally ready to add an amp and subwoofer so I will be contacting them again soon.

In October 2023 while on 495 on near the PG/Montgomery County border, hundreds of motorcyclists were causing chaos and very slow traffic on that Sunday gathering on the side blocking lane and lane splitting between the slow cars. This was insane and incredibly annoying. One of the motorcyclists rammed into my car while lane-splitting. He flipped his motorcycle. He picked up his motorcycle stumbled off to the side, and I tried to get the heck out of there as I didn't want to risk my safety with this awful motorcycle gang. Once I got to where I was going about 45 minutes later, I saw the damage, which wasn't horrible, but it wasn't just some minor nick. Visits here: That next day or two, I shopped around a bit in Laurel & North Laurel, and Carbody Collison had a better rate than the others. Also, Bob was kind and empathic to what happened. It wasn't urgent, but it could become a problem more so in winter because of snow/road salting as bottom part had to be replaced. I wanted to wait to see if insurance would go through, but they refused to cover it. Ultimately, that January 2024 we started the process, but it was going to take some time to get the part needed and would take them some time to do all the repairs. We agreed I'd drop the car off when I was going out of town; I rideshared to BWI airport. A week later I got back to town. Although they had agreed on finishing by then, there was something that was delayed even though we had agreed I come back that Friday afternoon, which I took a rideshare to get from my place to there, which isn't that far. Bob was nice enough to at least let me use a loaner car as I had a couple of other things I was doing, drove home, and then came back in the late afternoon. There was a bit of a tiff over windshield wipers they had replaced, which I thought was going to be cheaper, which I said I didn't agree to that much. He didn't want to continue to too much arguing and credited for either free or nominal price. I drove off to Columbia where I was going that evening. As I was driving back on MD-32 at US 1, I heard a loud noise like something was scrapping on the road. I got off at the next exit and went to the Savage MARC train station parking garage to see what was going on. I saw the piece hanging down. I snapped back in place, which got me home. But then the next day, I went down again, I stopped at a place in Laurel that I knew was open on Saturday. They did a temporary fix to get me through the weekend. I revisited on Monday, explained what happened. Bob apologized seeing what was going on; some screw was missing. He quickly got the staff to put back in while I waited there. In summary, Bob was overall nice & empathic except for a bit of heated discussion over price of an unrelated windshield wiper. I liked the price relative to other places (although I still didn't like as it wasn't cheap). They did a good job overall, but the missing bolt issue was annoying. They did a good job on timelines, but still a bit off on that, but at least got the loaner car for that afternoon as they were wrapping stuff up. This was mostly positive, and while there were some negatives, Bob did do a good job alleviating the negatives.

We asked for a shorter time since it was my daughter's spring break. At first they said it was ok but then they changed their mind. They insisted on a minimum of three weeks. I think that they run a racket on the tesla loaners and charge the insurance with luxury rentals. Their main focus was to secure as much money they could procure for themselves ignoring all the requests of the customers. In total they took around $12,000 for a repair of less than $2000 for an average paint shop. (they tell everyone a minimum of three weeks!)
