One disturbing experience was enough. Some acquaintances brought me here lauding the food and atmosphere. Explaining that, unlike them, I hadn't been here before, I asked if I could try a piece of their bread with hummus. The cashier said this would be over $7.00 since it was not on the menu and they had to charge for a full sandwich. Do I need to say that I declined the $7 piece of toast and never returned? I eat lunch here on a weekly basis. There have been weeks where I've eaten lunch 5 our of 7 days that week. As far as the type of food they serve and their offerings- top notch. Its hard to find a good Asiago Cheese Bagel in these parts, and they certainly have it! Their salads are a favorite of everyone in my office, and the turkey club on Tuscan bread cannot be beat. However, the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that they've had a recent changeover in staff, and the service isn't what it used to be since that happened. read more

We are coming here since...forever. Probably since they opened some time in late eigthties, early nineties. Reading negative reviews make me smile. Bad service...bad food...is this why they are totally mobbed during summer. I mean the lines are like in Soviet Russia in hunger years. So why people stay in line and wait...for that mediocre food and no one complains? It is because they are hooked. I have friends visiting from NYC and they want to go to only CCB for breakfast. That is the only one bad thing about Cape Cod Bagels: once you tried them, you are hooked. There is a story about President Clinton who delayed his departure from Martha's Vineyard's vacation because the shop over there run out of Cape Code Bagels bagels. Now, why am I writing this? Best place for a fresh sandwich and a cup of coffee. The staff is nice, the food is quick and everything on the menu is awesome. I'm personally addicted to cape cod bagels. If your visiting the cape its even better because the inside fits the capes atmosphere and half the seating is outside so you can enjoy the warm weather. read more

One of the freshest bagels I've ever had. Service was polite, happy and very quick. Atmosphere is that of your average cafe. My blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese hit he spot. Also they have about 10 different types of hot coffee on tap. So if you like fresh coffee and bagels cape cod bagel is a must stop. read more

My favorite sandwich is the chicken salad on a toasted plain bagel with lettuce, tomato and pickles! The egg salad is awesome too!

Update: Returned again and yet again the exact same experience. I don't give reviews on one single experience thinking it could be an off day. This place has a lot of off days. I have gone weekdays and weekends. I haven't actually gotten food since a basic order takes over 30 minutes. Poor service not worth waiting over 30 minutes for an untoasted Bagel with cream cheese. When I got there I was second in line. Then phone orders started coming in to pick up orders. The one person working the register would then wait on phone orders. Meanwhile they would also start making the phone orders food. What is the point of calling ahead if all it does is jump the line but you still need to wait for them to make it. I ended up leaving and see the line out the door isn't for a good product but rather lousy service. They don't tell you until after you order and wait that they are out of what you ordered. Saw that happen a couple of times. Then they seemed shocked when I saw one person request her money back. I would have done they same thing. She was there much longer then I was for a bagel with cream cheese. So if you have a hour to get a bagel this place is for you. The owner going in and out of the kitchen on his cell phone is also a nice touch. read more

The thing that pushed me over the edge to rewrite this review was recently having watched a young woman behind the counter prepare food for customers with a baby strapped to the front of her. Absolutely delicious! My sister and I stopped on our way back to Philadelphia from Martha's Vineyard. I got a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel and it was amazing! The bagels are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and big! My sister got a BLT on a salt bagel. It had chucks of sea salt all over it that shinned like tiny magical crystals of flavor on top of a perfectly toasted bagel, and was loaded with bacon, crisp lettuce and the tomato was juicy. This will now be a regular stop for us when we travel to the Vineyard. read more

Came here over LDW with family for breakfast. Line was very long but didn't expect anything less - in lieu of a "good morning" or "how can I help you", we received a crass "what do you want" from the employee behind the cashier. Since it was our first time here, we were hoping we would be guided to some of the more popular items, instead we were left to quickly decide from one of the many menu options while being looked at like we were a nuisance. While their hot coffee selection was extensive, their iced coffee list only had 3 options; which made no sense to us seeing it was the summer. Yes it was busy, but they, as a popular Falmouth establishment, should know that more people would be ordering iced coffee than hot and to keep that running. We gave already asked the server once to reheat them, and she made her displeasure evident. The soup is still cold. Today was my first visit here, and will absolutely be my last. The staff here needs some serious training. They got my order completely wrong. I ordered 3 muffins and 2 bagels. When I tried to politely point out that my order was wrong, the woman asked me my order number and proceeded to point out that the receipt had the wrong muffins on them- as if it was my fault the cashier entered them in incorrectly. I had to go back inside for a second time when I realized my bagels were completely wrong as well, and the cashier was rude, and unapologetic, so much so that I didn't even tell him my second bagel was wrong too after giving me a hard time about the first. I wouldn't mind the mistake if the staff was friendly. As for the food itself, it was just ok. The coffee cake muffin was undercooked, and I've had better bagels at Panera. After a friend referred me here, I found myself working less than a mile from this place, so at lunchtime I went in, and boy was I pleased! First of all, their bagels are delicious and wonderfully fresh. The variety is awesome. I ordered a turkey club sandwich on a toasted marble bagel, and it was perfect. Piled high with great tasting turkey, bacon, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and every bite was heaven. The woman who took my order recommended the potato salad as a side, and it was worth it, absolutely delectable. Also, today if you ordered any sandwich you got either free chicken noodle soup or chili, and I opted for the chili. Wow! This was as good as it gets, just the right amount of spice, very meaty, great in every way, and this was homemade with care. I also had a coffee, their selection was tremendous, too. The atmosphere was very friendly (a young couple asked me to take their picture, which I was glad to do), and I felt very comfy there. Even the little kids in the restaurant weren't ill-behaved. Before I left I picked up a baker's dozen of those great bagels and a container of their cream cheese, too. I was going to get some chili, but I just ran out of steam, so next time, for sure. Pricing was about what you'd expect, not cheap but very reasonable considering the quality of their food. I highly recommend this place if you are in this part of the Cape, you will not regret it. Best Bagel Shop!! Super chewy and flavorful (and delicious days later out of the toaster). The coffee is great too-tons of different flavors that they brew in house (same goes for the ice coffee)! No nasty flavor shots. The Honey Granola bagel is delicious and the peanut butter/banana/honey combo (if thats your thing) is ridiculously amazing and a bit messy- but who cares if you are covered in gooey deliciousness. Everytime I am in Falmouth I make sure to visit-early morning or late afternoon. Beware of Falmouth Road Race weekend -the place is BANANAS (as in JAM PACKED)! read more

I regularly stop here when headed on a trip because it's convenient and it isn't fast food. I like the veggie bagel melt. However, I'm hesitant to give it more than 3 stars because the bagels are pretty mediocre -- kind of dry and crumbly instead of chewy and soft. Secondly, I have NEVER left with exactly what I ordered. They forget the potato salad, give me slaw instead, forget the chips or whatever else could possibly be mixed up or forgotten. Luckily I know to check my order before I get in the car. All that being said, if you are looking for a quick, to go bite, this is a decent place. read more
