We managed to eat here twice and the food was good. Restaurant decor is nice and bright. The first time we went for breakfast, admittedly 2 weeks after they opened, they told us it would be 30 min wait even though there were empty tables. We suggested we could sit at the bar - the hostess said we wouldn't get served any quicker. We stayed that time. Today, 9:00 on a Sunday in late Sept, only half the tables occupied, and the hostess said 30 mins for a table for 2. As others noted, the hostess is unfriendly - doesn't say sorry we can't seat you now because we don't have the wait staff to serve you, no suggestion that we could sit in their coffee shop to wait. But if they can't handle the small crowd in late Sept, they won't survive. And forget about handling dinner crowds! We went back last weekend, 9/28, and things had improved. Hostess and waitress were very friendly and we were seated right away. Food was good. So maybe it was startup pains. We'll keep trying it out and hope when season comes they can handle the load. read more

Their coffee is SOLID. However I'm big on having a little treat with my coffee and their selection seemed limited when I went. I'm definitely going to go back because the coffee was delicious and it was a nice mix up from black coffee. Not sure of other locations but Cape Cod Coffee in Mashpee Commons IS NOT A COFFEE SHOP!. It's a full service restaurant that does NOT allow you to sit at a table unless you order food. The coffee is to go only. I decided to go back and give the food a try. At lunch time the place was mostly empty. The woman asked if I wanted to sit at the bar since I was dining alone. I said no. Not interested in setting at a bar. Seems like that was a problem. She sighed and couldn't figure out which of the 20 empty tables to seat me at. I changed my mind and told her thanks but no thanks and left. The food I could see coming out but unfortunately the times I've been there the customer service was horrible. So much attitude for a service oriented business. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Lots of great places with great service in the area. read more

I am never one to leave a bad review but this place really is something else. 3 large coffees came out to about $30 (with tip). I personally ordered a vanilla iced coffee and the coffee was handed to me black with a couple pumps of vanilla sitting at the bottom. You then have to go behind you and proceed to make your own coffee. For the price point I would most definitely expect it to be made ready to drink and taste splendid. I was blown away I had to do it myself and I am not a barista so it really doesn't taste that good. I thought I was paying for a barista and a nice drink being made. We were on Cape Cod for a short stay and visited Cape Cod Coffee at the recommendation of our friends. First of all, while my husband loves his coffee, I can take it or leave it so I really didn't care whether it was Dunkin' Donuts, Starbucks or this place (hey, put enough cream and sugar in it and I can choke it down). Well, I now have to change my whole way of thinking!!! This coffee was actually GOOD! I thought the first cup might be a fluke so we went back several more times and ... what do you know, every type I tried was actually good!! (And without a ton of cream and sugar!!) We took a tour of the roasting facility and it opened my eyes as to what goes into a [good] cup of coffee. Since we enjoyed the main facility so much, we went to their new Coffee Cafe which opened recently in what is called "The Mashpee Commons" for breakfast. First of all, we were seated by a very friendly young lady and immediately offered a cup of coffee. The menu is quite varied and had a lot of things to choose from (I found out that the owners gave the menu a "California flair" ... which, I admit, made me a little prejudiced). The cafe itself is open and airy and tastefully decorated. The food was wonderful and the staff friendly and very attentive. Yes, the restaurant is new and there are a few 'kinks' that need to be worked out, but most everyone who goes there knows this so to be 'slamming' them because they're not a five-star Michelin establishment right out of the gate, seems a bit harsh -- but, then again, nowadays you can't please everyone. read more

We went out for breakfast on a beautiful sunny morning. I wasn't sure what to get. I saw the pancakes and the description was they were served with butter and maple syrup. And they had the option to make them banana pancakes. So I ordered them. Not great. First, it wasn't maple syrup. It was "breakfast syrup" so that was misleading. (At home, we only use real maple syrup.). Then, they must have used at most four slices of banana per pancake. I had one, took the other two home, and then chucked them. The service was also at best average. I ordered a side of hashbrowns; never got them. But that turned out to be a good thing because I saw what they served my son-in-law and they didn't look appetizing at all. We won't go there again. read more

The people next to us waited 25 minutes for their food to come. Our food was not hot either when it finally came. I went in to the bathroom and there was a lot of food on the kitchen counter waiting to be brought to tables. No one around us seemed happy with food or service. Also went with a large group... while the wait was about 1 hour, we were able to window shop until they called us in. Excellent system for a quick stop you pick your seat and order when your ready. The double dip coffee rub chicken wings were some of the crispiest juicy wings I've ever tried never mind the awesome flavor combo from the rub and the honey mustard the pesto pizza with chicken was extremely good quality and complexity of flavor for the price. Not the cheapest location to visit and certainly not the most expensive for the convenience and the quality. Staff is very friendly and atmosphere is great. The places smells awesome. We walked in with zero direction to where to go so we walked up to counter and the attendant asked us what we could like to order. My husband really wanted a family sit down for breakfast. We have been there for breakfast many times, but lately it has not been good. My scrambled eggs were like a brown rubber hockey. One big slab, tough and chewy. I sent it back and it came back the same way, but chopped up into pieces. Pathetic. The toast is never actually toasted, just warmed. The whole plate of food had a slightly rancid smell. The bacon is very good quality , but overcooked. Hope they get a new chef soon! read more

This was by far the worst time i've had here. First off our server Jenna ,tall white women with blonde hair probably in her late 40s, gave us the impression first hand that she did not want to be there at all. My party and I felt rushed the whole time because she told us "ugh it's the end of the day" which in my opinion, if she said it in a jokingly manner or not, it should not have been said out load to a party you just sat. And since when is the end of the day 1:00 pm? She continued to have the bartender sweep and mop directly next to the table where we were eating at. We also waited about 25-30 minutes for her to come back to the table because she was sitting down talking to somebody at the table adjacent to ours and i know she knew we were ready because she looked at our table a couple times and then looked back at the person she was talking to and continued on with the convo. She then ran out to my party and I and complained about her tip which I think is so unprofessional and little did she know i've been a server before and when someone leaves you a nasty tip, you just have to take that loss and deal with it, not run after the party holding the tip in the air. I was here with my family from overseas a few months ago, and after buying coffee it was impossible to be seated in the area in front of the cashier even the place was almost empty. Yesterday I gave the second opportunity and I bought a cup of coffee and a bagel and specifically said it was to eat there. The surprise, again, was when I asked: Could I seat here? And the cashier said: No. I asked again and she went to ask the manager, who was patronizing me and finally said that even the place was literally unoccupied, I just could be seated outside where everything was wet due to the rain. What a horrible customer service! And the lack of vision of everyone there since, being almost noon time, probably I could have been ordering a salad or something else. Never I'd be back and as a customer that use to buy the coffee bags there, no matter if after ten I'd receive one for free will be beck. Not recommended at all!!! read more

Do not waste your money on the nitro. A complete scam and fraud. They fill your cup with ice then they put about half with iced coffee and they finish it with some nitro on top to make it look like it's a full nitro beverage. I own a nitro coffee machine and I know the difference between real and fake. Six dollars for a small that is literally 1/3 nitro coffee and the balance just iced coffee no coffee shop should ever treat their customers this way. read more

I really hate to blast any local business... but I took my mother to Cape Cod coffee for breakfast and really had a lousy experience. The waitress was terrible - not only Have a eating at restaurants around the world, but I used to be a waiter in college. At any rate the food was also not great. I had the chicken quesadilla and it was really salty... I probably would've sent it back if the waitress checked on us. I had to ask for menus, ask for water twice, no one checked on us, no coffee refills (which may have been a blessing). Just not impressed. On the way home my mother and I stopped in to Cape Cod coffee's other location because my mom likes there Costa Rican roast & we had left the first location in a hurry because the bad experience. A pound of their coffee is $14.95 and I purchased a Danish for my father that was five dollars! I just have no idea how these businesses could possibly make it. read more
