Also fabulous is the lobster BLT although I recommend with no bacon since the Smokey flavor of the bacon can overpower the lobster. The frites are house cut (delish!) but the cole slaw is average. Excellent Lobster Rolls! Everything you read in the previous reviews is true. We stopped in for lunch and while the entire lunch menu looked great, we went with the recommendation - the lobster roll. The lunch portion was just right. Plenty of lobster, and very light on the mayo - just enough to hold it together a bit. You could barely taste the mayo. Wonderful, fresh lobster on a buttered and grilled slice of toast. Oh, and we got the hand-cut fries. Why does anyone serve frozen? These are the best! Stopped in after days of "storm work" following the terrible hurricane Ian. After 11 days of non stop inspections and helping those who lost so much, the Cape Cod Fish Company was the first hot meal for my partner and I. The clam chowder (red) was absolutely the best I ever had. Granted, I was starving but the childhood memories of good fresh chowder came rushing back. In short order the shrimp tacos and fresh made coleslaw arrived. So so Good and fresh! Such a welcome surprise coming in from what could basically be described as a demilitarized zone. My husband was looking through Yelp for a new restaurant to try out. Based on the reviews we gave it this place a try. We stopped by at around 3:30 - 4:00 p.m. Our journey began with the friendly staff ! We sat outside because we had our 4 1/2 month old golden retriever with us. My husband ordered the Portuguese muscles as an appetizer and I ordered the truffle fries. After that, Sam brought us sauce size cups to try different chowders in which I order the lobster corn chowder ! The lobster corn chowder had tons of lobster in a light cream sauce. I also try one of their famous classic lobster roll that was to die for. My husband ordered the Connecticut lobster roll also to die for. The food and the service was AMAZING !!!! My husband had the Connecticut lobster roll and I had one of their specials - the Crueben sandwich. We ordered both meals with plank style fries. The food was well prepared, tasted great, and fresh. This place doesn't look like it would be a home run when viewed from the outside but this place is like a grand slam for the taste buds. The fish and chips were amazing, made from Cod and ours came with jumbo shrimp which had fantastic flavor and were well cooked. We also got an appetizer of Calamari, Truffle Fries, and Red Clam Chowder. Each one has great taste to it. Our server was one of the most social ones we had on our vacation down here. One of our party members ordered something with a sauce they had ran out of. After seeing him struggle to find an alternate they made him the sauce and he was licking his plate when we were done. Being from Cape Cod, we just had to check it out, Florida has no mask mandate but I guess this place is following the Mass mandate but seating is maybe 2 feet from table to table, so why mask? otherwise I'd be at five stars. Absolutely LOVE this place. We had fried Ipswich clams and they were incredible! We had the blackened salmon tacos and those were the best that I have ever had. The clam chowda and lobster corn chowda were perfect! The fisherman platter was delicious! We were repeat customers during our short stay in Fort Myers.
