Went here based on some pics I saw online that looked appealing, and tried the shrimp basket with fries and coleslaw for 16.95. I also got iced tea for beverage and it was good. There can be awful iced tea, this was not. They have a small standard selection of beers available too. It is a little restaurant minus any notable ambiance, but is clean and servers are on the ball, although I did need to ask for drink refills(not a big deal) There is outside seating as well, again minus ambiance or view so probably a place where you go when you just want good seafood and nothing fancy. So back to the shrimp, which I got fried. Imo there is no other option unless you get peel and eats with cocktail sauce but I was not there for that. Anyway it was fresh tasting(let's hope so, right?) and fried perfectly. Flavorful and not overly cooked. Yum. I have tried fried shrimp all over SEFL and I have to say these were probably the best. When we first pulled into the back of the restaurant I was a little nervous. It didn't look like much. However, the food is amazing! We had the garlicky mussels, clam chowder, lobster chowder, monstah lobstah roll, and a daily special of Cod Newburg. The passion fruit sangria was good too. Amazing. Everything here is made fresh and with love. We had to take someone to the airport and this place was about 20 minutes away and figured worth a stop with the ratings. We visited SW Florida last week and this place was easily the best meal I had all week. So good in fact we took my mom and brother to try it the next day because they weren't with us the first time! Located at the end of a strip mall there is a small seating area both inside or outside. They tell you sit wherever you like when you arrive. We sat inside both times. I enjoyed watching the servers rush around and the gentleman with a Cape Cod accent interact with customers. He was entertaining. But he also made sure everything was running smoothly and everyone was happy with their food. The food is amazing. First day we got there about 4:00 PM. And there was only 1 other table seated inside. So our server Samantha, who was awesome, kept food coming at a great pace and drinks flowing. Our glasses never emptied. She also gave us samples of their Chowdahs. Wow. It's like someone here brought an old family recipe to work and is sharing it with the world. They are the best Chowdahs I've ever had. First we ordered an appetizer. The Wasabi-Yaki Shrimp. Lightly fried shrimp with Thai Chili Sauce, Sweet Soy, and Wasabi Lime Aioli. Served on a bed of shredded lettuce mixed with the Thai Sauce and Soy. Wasabi Lime Aioli drizzled on top. Tender, hot butterflied shrimp sitting on Thai and Soy that were mostly sweet. The Wasabi sauce was mostly flavor and not spicy at all. The dish was really excellent. Next up I had samples of the Manhattan and the Special 'Captain Mike's Fish Chowdah'. The Manhattan was a red broth based chowder and not cream based. Rich and flavorful from sausage used to make the broth. Amazing. Captain Mike's was cream based and had chunks of cod or other seafood. Amazing. I ordered a cup of the corn and lobster chowdah. Cream based rich with heavy cream and butter. Lumps of lobster and corn. The corn clusters indicate they used corn on the cob to make this recipe. I'm guessing they used the cobs and lobster shells to make the rich broth. Maybe a blend of seasonings used in the Cape Cod area perhaps. There is a richness note I can't put my finger on. Either way it's amazing. This is how I started my meal on both days. Same appetizer and chowdah. Then had different entrees each day. Day 1 I had the Jumbo Shrimp and Cod basket. Served with hand cut fries and coleslaw. Day 2 I tried the Lobster roll with hand cut fries. Day 1. Jumbo Shrimp was butterflied, lightly battered and fried. Were just as tender as the appetizer on the inside with a light crunch on the outside. The cocktail sauce is house made and had a sweet and tangy zing. I am perplexed by the fried cod. All I had to do was drop a fork into it and it would slide all the way through. I have had tender and flaky fish before. But nothing like this. I really want to know how they get it this tender. Best fried cod I believe I've ever had. Tender, flaky, slight crunchy exterior. Amazing. House made tartar on the side. Day 2 I had the classic Lobstah Roll. Made with lemon, herb and light mayo. They mean it. Mayo so light it barely coats the lobster meat so the lobster meat can shine. Irregular pieces so you know it was manually pulled from a lobster. Piled high on an open split butter toasted bun with a piece of green leaf lettuce. These lobster morsels are tender and delicious. Worth every penny. Fries both days were served hot and crispy. I highly recommend. I will definitely be visiting every time I'm in SW Florida. read more

Oh my goodness - this place is as good as all the 5 star reviews said! We had just arrived from Chicago and heading for Sanibel, and hoped to find a place to eat on the way. They offer three types of lobster rolls, classic (lemon, herb and mayo), Connecticut (sautéed in butter with old bay) and original (chilled with mayo or butter on the side). Also fabulous is the lobster BLT although I recommend with no bacon since the Smokey flavor of the bacon can overpower the lobster. The frites are house cut (delish!) but the cole slaw is average. The lunch portion was just right. Plenty of lobster, and very light on the mayo - just enough to hold it together a bit. You could barely taste the mayo. Stopped in after days of "storm work" following the terrible hurricane Ian. After 11 days of non stop inspections and helping those who lost so much, the Cape Cod Fish Company was the first hot meal for my partner and I. The clam chowder (red) was absolutely the best I ever had. Granted, I was starving but the childhood memories of good fresh chowder came rushing back.
