Relaxing patio dining on a perfect Florida afternoon. Light breezes, tropical music hums as I peruse a menu of seafood delicacies opting for a fresh shrimp salad over crisp greens Perfect service by Gerry and you know why we love living in paradise... Good afternoon Ft Myers,, seafood anyone???

Shrimp Shack 8-27-25 Stopped by on Wednesday afternoon about 3pm. Place was not full but was clean and we got a booth right away. Jerry was our server was fast on answering any questions we had and taking our orders. We ordered a bowl of Clam Chowder for an appetizer to share. For the mains I ordered the Shrimp Lovers Platter Which has Grilled Shrimp Skewer over a bed of Yellow Rice, Shrimp Scampi, Fried Shrimp, 2 Hush Puppies and Cole Slaw. My wife ordered the Haddock Boiled with Fries and Salad. Our friend ordered a House Salad. Our Clam Clowder came out first with the Salads. The Salads looked great and tasted fresh. One thing I loved about the Salads they were cold. Our Clam Chowder was very good and packed with Clams and pipping hot. Our main orders came shortly afterwards. My Shrimp Lovers platter looked amazing. It was very good and very tasty. Even the Cole Slaw was good. I loved this platter. My wife's Haddock was very good and done just the way she liked it. Her fries were also good. All in all our food was very good, tasty and all was hot. Even Jerry checked on us filling our drinks and asking if we needed anything else. I must give this place 5 out of 5 stars for the excellent service and great food. You must put this on your stop by list you won't be sorry. I for one can't wait to get back. My Caesar salad was just delightful! Blackened shrimp was decent, served in a bowl with this "blackened" sauce that had no flavor. Onion rings weren't great, ironically the breading was seasoned, but fell apart. Hush puppies were obviously just filler to make the plate look more full. Haddock stuffed with crab was wonderful until the last 3 inches of the fillet had no crab and it was just flavorless fish. The fried green tomatoes were my favorite! Breading stayed on and the sauce was delectable. Most of the food just needs more flavor, better breading (like beer batter), and sauce variety.

The server was nice and attentive. Basic nice little place, casual. The food was good. Had shrimp and fries with hush puppies. The crab cake with hush puppies were delicious. The shrimp, chicken and fries hot and tasty. I would recommend for a casual dinner or lunch.

Next time, I'm definitely trying their goat cheese cheesecake though! Service was extremely attentive and informative. I tried some east coast oysters, with the cost of a half dozen being the highest I have ever paid. The lobster roll, bread was not soft or buttery, and the flavor of the lobster filling was not very good either. At $34 you better knock it out of the park, instead of being only passable. Again the price was about $10 over another local establishment known for their lobster rolls, that are far superior. There was zero atmosphere on a Weds night, no live music, with one other table of four and a few bar flies at the bar. I had three different beers and all of them were flat. The wife had a flat cider. I am not sure what the cost per was, since they do not list it on the beer menu, which I hate. $150 for bad drinks and mediocre bar food. Never again.

It was absolutely delicious .. frozen, creamy, tropical, and incredibly refreshing. Basically vacation in a glass. For my main, I ordered the coconut crusted grouper tacos, because apparently I wasn't done with the coconut theme yet. The grouper was delicious, and the coconut crust added the perfect touch of flavor and texture. Everyone else at the table was equally happy with their choices. My brother got the whole fried snapper, which he shared with his wife, and they both loved it. My sister ordered the fish and chips, which she also absolutely raved about. I was very excited to give it a try. Friday, March 27th my wife and two friends left Sebring driving the two to Fort Myers to go check out the Clam Bake for some long awaited delicious seafood especially looking forward to some fried Ipswich clams. Entering The Clam Bake, looking around, I saw a very nice variety of Boston Sports teams pictures and memorabilia on the walls. The waiter was prompt though not very personable. The waiters response to the two questions was as i was asking stupid questions. Regarding the food. I ordered a salad with Russian dressing and received Thousand Island dressing. I ordered Fried whole belly clams and a baked potato The baked potato seemed to be a day old left over baked potato reheated. Instead of clams I received Fried Oysters. When I asked they assured me they were clams. My wife ordered Fried Sea Scallops with a baked Sweet potato. She received what looked to have been frozen Sea Scallops (that were just Ok) and a "half" of a small Sweet Potato. I ate the salad as Thousand Island Dressing still tastes good, though I prefer Russian. It would have been nice for the waiter to let me know. I ate the potato as I have many times had cut up left over baked potatoes as home fries, and they are good. I did not eat the oysters. A bus person came by and cleared our dishes., did not ask if my dinner was ok as the oysters were still on my plate. Over all opinion: The decor is New Englandish, Service over all ok. The food is ok. Just don't expect the quality of the seafood to be anywhere as good as what you can find in New England. I will not be returning.
