This restaurant is a small, hole in the wall restaurant in an unrecognizable strip mall, but it has the best seafood and a very friendly staff. When you are in it, you can imagine yourself being inside a typical New England seafood restaurant. Nothing fancy in decor, just great seafood! If they were racing on a track this lobster roll almost won by like 3 seconds. (Sorry dad!) What sets this and my dads lobster roll above the rest may be a preference. I like lobster drizzled in butter, not mayo. The lobster is the star. Just lobster herbs and lemon is all I need. No lettuce, cabbage slaw, etc. This lobster roll is called the "Connecticut" lobster roll on their menu. It's lightly sautéed in butter and sprinkled with fresh herbs. Squeeze of lemon all on top of a lightly buttered and grilled bun. The bread it was served on I'm unfamiliar with. It's similar in texture to brioche but looks like a large Texas toast. It's BRILLIANT. Huge chunks of buttery lobster and the herbs are so light and really accent everything. The lemon squeeze takes it all next level and I'm in heaven. For my myself, brother and dad we ordered mussels in red sauce with sausage and fried calamari as appetizers. Not a huge fan of sausage and I prefer mussels in white wine sauce but holy cow. They still managed to get me to love it. Fried calamari is usually good anywhere to me but theirs. I mean come on. They just kept surprising me. They have such a wide array of amazingly done seafood options for all your foodie fancies. My dad got the fisherman's combo with fish n chips, while belly fried clams, fried sea scallops and jumbo shrimp. He's very critical when it comes to food he pays for and doesn't make himself and he was so busy chowing down he didn't talk much! My brother orders the fried shrimp tacos and man. The crunch of the red cabbage slaw and chili lime aioli topped with sweet corn salsa and avocado on grilled tortillas. I died. PLEASE COME TO TAMPA! read more

We were out shopping and found this wonderful restaurant. We had the Rhode Island Clam Cakes and they were very good! The crab pimentos sandwich was delicious! We are visiting family down in Fort Myers and our aunt and uncle told us about Cape Cod Fish company, they had been there before and they really liked the fish and chips. The thing that caught my attention was the Lobster Roll signs and also the reviews about this place on Yelp. After seeing Lobster rolls on the tv show DDD, I definitely would be all over a Lobster roll. Today we finally got to try it. I ordered the Lobster roll and our aunt and uncle ordered the fish and chips. When I eat Lobster I love the flavor of it and I don't like anything else to take the flavor away from it. To be honest the roll (bun) had a bit too much butter on it for me, it's not that I don't like bread but when the butter on the roll takes away the flavor from my lobster I a draw a line. I decided to eat the lobster without the roll (bun) first to be able to enjoy the flavor of my lobster and at the end I ate the roll (bun). Stopped by this place this past weekend. Having browsed some reviews it seemed worth a trip. Nice homey, welcoming decor. Staff was very friendly. Ordered Red Clam Chowder and Blackened Salmon tacos. I'm a big fish taco fan and have eaten them all around the country. The chowder was very good. Nice gritty clams and a broth that was not over-seasoned and had great flavor. The tacos, on the other hand, just may have been the best fish tacos I've ever eaten. The cabbage slaw and sweet salsa, topped with a couple avocado slices and a squeeze of lemon juice, really played well against the slightly spicy fish. These tacos were put together by people who care about serving a good dish. A great meal at a great local spot. read more

A bit of redemption today as we stopped by on a Saturday afternoon before the evening rush. Sitting outside, we enjoyed a cup of their delicious corn and lobster chowdah that was just as enjoyable this time as it was the first time around... We were helped by the same server who stayed and chatted with us a while as we were getting ready to pay the bill. It was a much more relaxed atmosphere this time hence the additional star. Must have been low on ingredients because when it was delivered to our table it had very little ingredients and all I could taste was the bun. Almost asked if I could order something else but felt like they should have known it was NOT their normal portion. I feel that if they are low on a certain product on the menu they should inform you when you order that they are out rather than serve a VERY DISAPPOINTING PORTION.
