We passed on both and got a few pastries which were delicious. No where to sit inside but little tables outside that fill quick. Would definitely pop in for some baked goods.

After having some of the bread prior to our meals at a few restaurants, we found out the bread is locally sourced at a sister business right around the corner from where ate the night before. There is parking avail for customers in the lot for 30 mins, we prob waited about 20 mins and crossed the threshold into baked goods heaven. There was so much to select from - we got pastries, cookies, pizza and bread - and we pretty much liked everything. Our least favorite was the morning bun with walnuts - we didn't have it right away so that might've been part of the issue. Just note that the bread served at the restaurants aren't available until 2pm - we were leaving that morning so we weren't going wait for it. We opted for other loaves instead and they didn't disappoint. If you want something yummy and fresh - make sure to stop by here before heading out of Portland. I do wish the setup was a bit more conducive to the big crowds as there isn't much space from the front door to the counter but still a fantastic find!

They are also one of the few spots that does a breakfast burrito properly - unforgiving heft and totally stuffed. It's the best spot to grab breakfast and other provisions before you head over to the beach. For coffee: the iced drinks are decent; warm drinks are solid. They have a display of sweet items that should you have children with you, will haunt them incessantly until you purchase something for them. Service time is completely reasonable; young folk behind the counter making drinks and slinging food orders. Cute patio seating outside which makes it a favorite spot of mine, especially when the hydrangeas are in bloom! Lots of seating inside. The marketplace is dangerous. Although it's limited pickings, it's been carefully curated for elevated items from Maine vendors or other top brands. It's great spot to get small gifts for people (food, wine, other small crafted items)!

The LOBSTER ROLL was so tasty and absolutely bursting with lobster. It feels simple but flavor wise it is perfect. The HADDOCK CHOWDER on the other hand was the complete opposite of perfect. The haddock itself tasted very fresh but the base had absolutely no seasoning or flavor and so it tasted like cooked fish in hot milk. All in all, a good option for lobster rolls but stay away from the chowder.

The kimchi cheddar corn soufflé was also very good but not as good as the scone so would give it S tier. The matcha and black sesame butter mochi tasted very good but I think I still prefer the more savory options so would give it an A+ tier. The texture reminds me of Malaysian kuih and flavor was good. The service with the grocery mart area was friendly and helpful for asking questions. We got a fancy soy sauce here to sushi later and it was pretty good. They didn't up charge the soy sauce too much either. Would come back again even though the selection was small.

I was thrilled at the chop stick holders and the sauces that were available. Local and foreign. If you keep walking through, there are stairs and you can go up to where they make and sell some pastries and matcha, and I believe coffee. I came for the treats. I grabbed a scallion miso scone with a chili smear on top. It was nice, the texture was good. The flavors weren't as strong as I had hoped for, but texture carried the weight. I also had a sourdough cookie, but it wasn't anything too fabulous. It was a good cookie. Stop in for the creative tastes. The counter person was nice. It was a very brief interaction.

If you're lucky you'll even spot the elusive jimmy who pops in and out of view every so often while he frantically cooks orders. Food was impressive - had the desayuno del sol and it was different and innovative way to present a chorizo and egg breakfast on a sandwich with a little bite and sharp saltiness of the chorizo. The buon giorno was light and hint of creaminess but so good. Nice music and relaxing vibe. Highly recommend!

They have a lot of breakfast sandwiches made on their homemade English Muffins. When I went to order I asked what's the favorite/best sellers and we told the Yinzer. I also figured I'd get another sandwich too so I went with the Pastrami on Rye. Unfortunately they did not have any Pastrami available so I will say I panicked a little and ordered the BLT. I took a bit to get our food but they were busy so I et that. Once home I got into the Yinzer first. Let me tell you this thing was saucy but I like it that way. I will say I was a big fan of the English Muffin, probably on of the best I have had. I also had plenty of Chipped Ham which was rather tasty. Now the BLT I wasn't the biggest fan of. I guess I'm just not a big fan of a breakfast sandwich with veggies on it. Just didn't work for me. Would for sure come back if I was in town again because they have a lot of tasty sounding sandwiches.
