Do you love Peanut Butter? Well, then you've got to try Cape May Peanut Butter Company. Located…read moreright in the center of town with all the shops is this incredible peanut oasis with all sorts of different flavored peanut butters, (That you can taste), along with so many other incredible goodies like cookies and scones, peanut butter treats, sandwiches, candies, all sorts of flavored nuts, oils, spices, jams and jellies and so much more. Amy was helping us make our selections and she was super helpful and fun! I wound up with some Sour Cherry Jelly & Thai Peanut Sauce/Dip. My husband is the peanut butter maven and he took home 2 of his favorite 32 oz jars of honey roasted peanut butter. They won't last too long for sure. They have another location in Smithville and you can also order via their website. And if you go this time of year, you can beat the crowds and enjoy the story even more! The store is filled with so many amazing creations. I can't wait to go back again soon.

They send flat rate by the amount of your order and tell you that it should take approximately 9 days total to arrive. Mine came in 5 and I'm in Florida! I ordered my Butterscotch peanut butter, capucino too. If you are a nut butter fanatic you must try their nut butters. The butterscotch may sound a bit off but I reassure you it's not too sweet at all and not entirely smooth. There is texture in these butters and you can tell that they have not been sitting around for too long and you will know when you look on the bottom of the jar it tells you when it was made! I promise you cannot go wrong. I ordered a few peanut butter cups as well and everything went fabulous! Considering I had 6 jars and 6 peanut butter cups each item was packaged perfectly and delivered on time and wrapped with such care I'm very pleased. If you are in the area the store is fun too! If not don't be afraid to order and they have so much not only peanut butter you must explore their options! Pickles, peanuts, treats from the bakery, spices, oils, dog treats, and so much more! If you go there is ice cream too !!!! Yummmmm! We felt the food at The Lobster House in Cape May, NJ was a very good value and the service we…read morereceived was very good. We would have had to pay at least 30% more for the same meal back home in Metro Atlanta, GA. We went at 5:30 pm on a Saturday and we were number 57 on the waiting list. We were seated in about 45 minutes. My wife and I each started with an escargot appetizer. I also had a bowl of snapper soup with Sherry. This was followed with a 3 lb steamed lobster. My wife had the Lobster House special which is linguine with lobster tail, scallops, and shrimp. Each entree comes with a salad and at least 1 side. I had a baked potato and stewed tomatos. My wife had a zucchini blend. We both had a diet coke for our beverage plus water. I would definitely go back.

Staff is one - a thrum of hive-like busy bee activity - they all worked hard from I could see and since this is a volume business, that is a backbone to their success. My Latino server was attentive and upbeat. Nice guy. Next - the food wasn't that bad at all. The Lobster Bisque was pleasant and the Flounder Francaise was fine - not $37 fine but hey, you're paying for location too. Plus I'm sure the fish was fresh. Shane they didn't have filet of sole. Coffee, apple pie with ice cream, and baked potato were each unremarkable - on par with diner chow. But again, it's not the Coffee House or the Baked Potato Mansion. I saw many families here and I suspect for many of those families, toddlers and elders in tow, years of their memories here with families is a valuable reason for them to go. Tradition has a place in a long term eatery. Like Sparks Steakhouse. Wait. My bad example. Like Krogs Fiske Haus in Copenhagen. I'll die childless and all my family are long gone so I'm afraid the other memorable aspects of this sprawling seafood beer hall (in appearance - not literally a beer hall) were just observations - like the bare breasted sea ship carvings on the walls - won't prompt my return. Fun fact: why they are bare-breasted: according to maritime folklore, showing an exposed breast was believed to "shame" the sea into becoming calm. It also served to appease the angry spirits of the ocean. For me, it just was a bit embarrassing to have the mammalian protuberances monitoring my feeding.

We purchased a few packs of sticky finger scones. they were easy to bake and good. We were there during the pandemic and noticed that they sanitized the pens for credit card signing. After using the sanitized pens, you put them in the used pile. They also had a giant bottle of hand sanitizer in the front of the store. What they could do better though, is to limit the number of people going into the store. There isn't a lot of space to spread out in the store. When we went in June, we were the only ones inside but then we went back in August, and it was too crowded for my comfort.

The delicious smell of coffee wafting out the front door makes it easy to drift in and take a gander. Inside there are tons of gourmet food items and various kitchen gadgets, tea towels, and such. I have a well stocked kitchen so I didn't add anything to my collection but I did check out some local products like Cape May Honey and a Beach Plum Vinaigrette or salad dressing. In hindsight I wish had asked about the Beach Plum dressing because I think it might have been a fun add to my pantry. Love the Cook is home to Cape May Roasters so you can also buy coffee here. You can get a fresh cup or a bag of whole beans or ground coffee to go. For those who prefer tea they carry an assortment of Republic of Tea teas which are great quality. Nice quality stuff and worth a gander. I would definitely visit again and perhaps try the coffee next time.
