The food was really good. It all came out really hot and fresh. The server was friendly and attentive. Restaurant was nice looking and quiet. No complaints and will be back.

Came here for a work lunch. The fried Brussels were delicious! I also had the salmon on a bed of orzo pasta and that was fantastic as well. I honestly had no idea there was as a restaurant close by and I'm glad I know now!

Came for dinner without reservations and they were booked. I asked about the high tops and she said they were first come first serve. Surprisingly there was one high top left, but we sat there and waited. Finally after about 20 min my husband asked if we could get menus, and we were told that our server didn't know we were sitting there. Once we ordered drinks, we placed our food orders and all was good. The pepperoni pizza with hot honey did not disappoint! The arugula salad with tuna was fresh and delicious. The service was great once it started. Overall, we had a great meal. Can't wait until their new restaurant in Kennett Square opens!

Great little spot. The service was awesome. I went with the recommended chicken panini & my wife had the salmon. Very good. We met friends from south del. & we're from w. Chester. Glad we found this, will be back.

The parking situation is atrocious. We arrived a touch before 1pm on a Wednesday and the parking lot was completely full. There is a sign to park somewhere else but there is nowhere else that was clear. I can see why the parking situation is bad though, because the food was great. Especially that fucking bread they give you at the beginning. Holy shit. That is a lost art and they have it down. I ordered gnocchi, which was delicious. GF ordered spaghetti with clams, also tasty. Service was great, cocktails were great. If something pissed me off they are lucky I waited so long to write a review and no longer remember.

Always a great choice. Excellent food with a rotating seasonal menu. Great place to have a meeting or party. Awesome ambience. Authentic Italian market always has a good selection to take on the road. Love this place!

This is a lovely spot for a special occasion because they give you a giant sparkler for the guest of honor at the end of your meal. It's an intimate restaurant. I loved the unique lights at the tables that felt like taper candles. I'm not sure if it's because of what we ordered, but wait times were really long. It took about an hour for us to get our entrees. Thankfully we were in good company. And our party enjoyed their cocktails. We started with the brussels and cauliflower. This was beyond delicious. You have to order this as a starter. They had a quail special and monkfish special the evening we were there. The birthday girl ordered the quail. It took about an hour to arrive and came undercooked. Thankfully they were kind about cooking it more. I think she enjoyed it once she got to eat. Her husband got the pork chops. I shared the monkfish with a friend and really enjoyed it. We also got the seared tuna for the table and that was good too. Our waitress was super kind especially with the food hiccups. They have one gender neutral restroom stall. It has the prettiest wallpaper. We were stuffed by the time the dessert menus came out. Thankfully they still gave us a mini scoop of ice cream for the birthday girl with a sparkler. It was lots of fun. I think wait times were long for the specials and if we stuck to the regular menu things would've arrived faster. I'd go back to try more yummy food.

Amanda, our server, was a ray of sunshine and was especially attentive to our little one. she has a grandchild and relished the special time our daughter had while eating away from home. The food is delicious and seasoned very well. It was better than many of the offsite restaurants we tried. Everyone there is so friendly and we got to know many of the servers, bartenders, etc. Kudos to Tiera, Victoria and Amanda who are all awesome! During our visits, we had the pan seared salmon, grilled pork chop, crab eggrolls and fried mozzarella. The salmon and pork chop were delicious! The eggrolls had a great crab flavor and a sauce that had a slight kick. There is inside and outside seating. I recommend River Rock Kitchen if you are staying at the hotel or in the area.

Lets start with PRO's: location is great, wonderful…read moreviews!!, Cons: Service, right at the entrance there is a sign that says Please wait to be seated. So. I waited and waited some more. Bar side has all the views, so I was hoping to be seated there. I was not. I assume was a private party, but I was lead to a no views, darker lit, lonely area where booths are so tall that blocks any view. Then I waited for the waitress, who wasn't rude, but was not friendly nor helpful and took forever to take and serve my order. At that point the taste of food just didn't help to help with the experience. Food was MEH!! I had to get up and look for someone to get my check. I asked the waitress why I was seated in such a lonely and out of view table, she stated I asked for it. WHAT!???, I stated I did not. She reiterated was my choosing, reminded her of the "Please wait to be seated" sign at the entrance, she said that is only for the restaurant side, no the bar. Why DO YOU Place a sign by front door. I was visiting the city, not familiar with HOW that particular restaurant operates, this restaurant is NOT NEW CUSTOMER FRIENDLY. My overall experience made me feel unwanted and unwelcome.

The parking lot is tiny, so we asked the valet if there is additional parking and he said "valet is free". We responded that we had no cash for tip and he said "I'll live". Then we felt really bad because that type of response deserved a tip! The host stand was SLOW and not exceptionally friendly. We visited this restaurant with a reservation for outdoor seating, but they didn't honor it. When I asked they said "oh no, outdoors is done." They then sat us behind the host stand, next to a trash can, with a view of nothing. The inside is huge and the area we were seated had no windows. It was clean enough but I saw cobwebs up high on the stone wall and there were crumbs shoved between the edge of our table and the wall. The server was friendly. The food took much longer than typical, and no one ever refilled our water, which was served in a small plastic disposable cup - which is not a big deal but was weird. The food itself was good. The cornbread in particular was delicious and the cheese steak was tasty. The whole chicken entree was huge, and the skin was nicely spiced and crispy. The salad was pretty good too, but the walnuts could have been a little more crunchy. Seemed like maybe they're soaked in water. The prices were fine. Seemed like what we would expect to spend for what we ordered. All in all it's not a bad restaurant, but the slow service and the lack of attention to reservations lost a couple of points on this review. Still not a bad night out. And the view is beautiful - if you manage to see it.

Wanted to try someplace new and this popped up. Headed on down and couldn't find them as Google…read moreMaps showed them near the end of the street. They're a little further down on the corner. Keep going to the stop sign. When you're at the stop sign look across the street to the left and they're right there. I got lucky and found street parking right in front of their door. Walked in and they were packed. One tiny table open squashed between two others and the bar were my options so I sat at the bar. I try to pay cash at Mom & Pops place so they're not hammered by the credit card fees. They were low on change and recommending credit cards. I dug around in my pockets and found exact change. They were all out of pastries but one. I wanted to try their pasties de nada but all that was left was a croissant so I ordered it, along with their French toast and an oatmilk cappuccino. Turns out the croissant was already purchased by another patron who was going to have it after their meal. It hadn't been served yet. I received a refund. A couple showed up and sat at the bar as all the tables were full. Then someone else showed up and pointed at the seat I had my coat on saying they were told to sit there as it was the last seat open in the entire place. Packed. The French toast came out in good time but somehow my cappuccino got lost in the mix. It was immediately made and brought out. The French toast is as good as everyone says it is. Light, well filled, great flavor without being too sweet. I was trying to eat it all but had to stop 3/4 of the way as somehow it's filling. The cappuccino is also very good. I made the mistake of wanting to try them out at 11:45 on a holiday. 100% my bad. Considering there are only 3 people working the entire establishment, they did a great job. The food and drink were totally worth it and I will be back (at a less busy time)! *Quick add: I usually don't post while in the establishment but did here. Even with it being busy the owner came by to talk about the review and share a little about their business. They do evening events, private dinners. They also host guest chefs. Their goal is to elevate dishes, which is exactly what they did to the French toast. Based on this one breakfast I would definitely consider them for any function I was hosting in the area.

Overall, I would go back (lots of things on the menu I would love to try) but there are some considerations that might make it lower on my list: --It's a tiny place, like 16 seats --If they're full, you will be uncomfortably close to other diners --The hash browns are something else entirely...it's like someone filled a sheet pan full of potato latke ingredients, pressed it and made it dense, cut it into 1x1x5 inch sticks, and then deep fried it to a burnt brown (wtf!). It tasted like a latke crossed with a hush puppy. Also be aware that it's walk-in only and you pay when you order (so you have no way to express your dissatisfaction with the so-called hash browns). It's street parking in a residential neighborhood but I luckily got a great spot. Obviously this review got a little snarky. So let me repeat that I was happy with my food and think the menu is great. I only deducted one star!
