Great lunch the other day. Started with the pictured flatbread and had gnocchi and braciole. Server was pleasant and present, with just some minor missteps during the meal. It was energetic with a full restaurant on Easter. I've been when the restaurant was much more quiet, even in weekends, so ambiance depends on when you dine.

For a Monday night, this place was busy. Very comfortable, maybe a little warm. Staff was young and kind. Tomato bisque was fantastic(as is their bread). Scampi pasta was really good, but that pasta was hot and held it's heat!. A really pleasant mid-tier Italian restaurant. I'll come back.

Came here for a work lunch. The fried Brussels were delicious! I also had the salmon on a bed of orzo pasta and that was fantastic as well. I honestly had no idea there was as a restaurant close by and I'm glad I know now!

Came for dinner without reservations and they were booked. I asked about the high tops and she said they were first come first serve. Surprisingly there was one high top left, but we sat there and waited. Finally after about 20 min my husband asked if we could get menus, and we were told that our server didn't know we were sitting there. Once we ordered drinks, we placed our food orders and all was good. The pepperoni pizza with hot honey did not disappoint! The arugula salad with tuna was fresh and delicious. The service was great once it started. Overall, we had a great meal. Can't wait until their new restaurant in Kennett Square opens!

The parking situation is atrocious. We arrived a touch before 1pm on a Wednesday and the parking lot was completely full. There is a sign to park somewhere else but there is nowhere else that was clear. I can see why the parking situation is bad though, because the food was great. Especially that fucking bread they give you at the beginning. Holy shit. That is a lost art and they have it down. I ordered gnocchi, which was delicious. GF ordered spaghetti with clams, also tasty. Service was great, cocktails were great. If something pissed me off they are lucky I waited so long to write a review and no longer remember.

Great little spot. The service was awesome. I went with the recommended chicken panini & my wife had the salmon. Very good. We met friends from south del. & we're from w. Chester. Glad we found this, will be back.

Always a great choice. Excellent food with a rotating seasonal menu. Great place to have a meeting or party. Awesome ambience. Authentic Italian market always has a good selection to take on the road. Love this place!

Met and talked with the owner, sharing my limited food service experience as I listened to his fascinating story. The restaurant is part of American history, and is a business that always fascinated me. I've always thought successful restaurant owners, would be successful at most any endeavor because they are just such committed, hard workers, and this fella was a gauge for that rule. The happy hour food and drink prices are fabulous, and though I am a person of habit, everything Ive tried here was excellent, a good example would be the onion rings. Ordered these many times through the years, and it's amazing how many restaurants can't get them right. From the generous portion I was served, they were a hot crispy golden brown with no crumbs on the bottom of the basket, which tells me the frying oil is fresh and at perfect temperature. The regular bartender is one of the most knowledgeable and engaging, and while by myself, I'm always drawn into friendly conversation with the mostly couples that sit at the bar. The bar makes me feel like I'm at a local corner bar in the '70's or '80's, such friendly atmosphere. Wished I lived closer, as this would be a destination dining spot.

Let me be clear on this, we are one of two tables in the restaurant it is empty. -I had the NY strip it was burnt on the outside and served cold. - Had a side of gnocchi it a pesto sauce that was ok. The bottom line here folks is this , if you want a slightly better than sizzler steakhouse than this is your place. I won't be back.

Happy hour means $6 well drinks, so my standard is rum and diet Coke. Good drink, single pour of Cruzan. I chose to dine at the bar because the weather was a little steamy out. But I later took my second drink out onto their riverfront patio, and sat awhile in the shade of the building. It was lovely. For snacks, I ordered the blackened filet medallions and the garlic mussels. On a skewer, four hefty pieces of excellent beef were joined with a nifty horseradish dip. I did cut the steak into several bites per piece, so it was a good sized portion. My only preference would have been some garnish (greens maybe?). The mussels normally come with bread, but I let them keep it in the kitchen to sub my own GF bread from home. The broth was thin and lightly flavored, which I enjoyed almost like a soup (but was too embarrassed to tip the bowl). The patron to my right bemoaned the loss of a thicker broth from a previous recipe, so the bartender brought him some scampi butter which helped apparently. I really loved the light broth and found it soaked into the bread quite nicely. Friendly bartender gal cashed me out at my request before I took my drink on the patio. $30 plus tip, well spent. I could be a regular here, and look forward to another visit to Wilmington next time we are in Philly.
