Mike, the owner, is at the center of these dishonest practices, supported by his puppets staff, who promise the car but fail to disclose critical payment terms. They use manipulative tactics to mislead customers. To make matters worse, the car I received was delivered with mechanical issues. When I tried to address the problem, the dealership left me stuck with the car not answering phone or text messages, and finally blocking me like you know what. My son saved his money to purchase a car. On 8/5/24 my son found a car on Carfax. He called Capital Auto Mall Premier dealership located at 705 W Memorial Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33815 to make sure it was still available and was told that it was. My son told them there were only one picture on Carfax and can he see more views of the car and was told the camara guy was not there to take any and the car is in great condition, they do not sale bad cars. My son asked if he could make an appointment to come and test drive the car and was given an appointment for 8/7/24 Wednesday at 6pm. After work I drove nearly 2 hours and as my son started filling out paperwork with the salesman Clive he said, "You cannot test drive the car today because the car needs a front bumper and some other minor work, but you are still welcomed to buy it" We asked who made this appointment and why would you guys lie and schedule this test drive appt. He (Clive) then said, "I do not know who made it and that was our corporate office who made the appt.". I asked where your corporate office is located. Clive said, "I think in Miami.". The looks of the place did not seem like it is affiliated with a corporation and the fact that he appeared unsure by saying "I think...". lead me to believe he was being dishonest. I asked who the manager and I want to speak with him. Clive then said, "his name is Michael, look, I just stared working here 2 weeks ago". I called the number listed and Edward answered. I asked can I have the address and he gave me the same address I was sitting at. I asked my son was that the voice he spoke to making the appointment, my son used his phone and called right back, and they did not answer from the back office. Clive came from the back and summoned us to the back to speak with the manager (Michael). When me and my son entered the office, I asked the person behind the desk his name and he said his name was Lee (not Michael). Lee said "Melvin made the appointment but left for the day, we can fix the car but we will have to charge you more" So I asked for clarity 'so you are telling me, you guys falsely advertised the car for that price, scheduled us to test drive it, and clearly it is not even drivable with the bumper hanging over the tire, wasted a 2 hour drive coming here, for you to now tell me you would repair it but is going to charge us more'. Lee then said, "yeah, that is a $9000 car." I literally wasted over 5 hours driving back and forth after working all day and gas. I thought Carfax was a good company and verified cars to prevent this kind of situations. The dealership/Carfax posted the one advertised picture, and the rest of the car was a wreck. The lies and cold condescending attitudes from the dealership were terrible. Driving 2 hours, back home in rush hour with my son broken hearted was the worst ride ever and a horrible experience and a waste of my time and gas money. We made an appointment the day before to test drive a vehicle, which they confirmed by email. We called before we left for the appointment to confirm it was still available for test drive. We drove two hours and arrived early for the appointment and met a sales agent who took us to the car but astonished us by saying that "no more test drives are available today." We responded that we obviously could not buy a vehicle we couldn't drive. He went to talk to the manager, who came out and told us the car had just been sold. I asked how that could be when we had reserved it for a test drive. He shrugged and said he had juts made a deal with someone moments before. I asked why he couldn't have called to tell us that knowing we were on our way in from 2 hours away and he shrugged and said "we've been busy today." Also, there is nothing on their website that discloses that every car on their lot is a repossessed vehicle, something we only learned once we arrived. It is located in a neighborhood (between a funeral home and a bail bondsman) Super shady business, would never recommend. Sorry to have to give it even one star. read more

My Rating of my experience with Capital Auto Mall Premiere in Lakeland FL is ZERO Stars. Buyer Beware. The Dealer Prices Listed Is NOT the Actual Dealer/Purchase Price. I called and Scheduled to view a Vehicle, with the Intent to Purchase the Vehicle in Cash on the same day. No Financing was involved in the Purchase of this Vehicle. The Dealer Price of the Vehicle was Listed/Advertised as $13,750. After Several hours of Waiting, being forgotten and experiencing so much Disorganization within the Dealership, I was informed by the Salesman, that $13,750 was NOT the Actual Dealer Price. The Actual Dealer Price was $1,999 MORE .... Bringing the Cash Purchase Price to $15,749 ... PLUS ... ADDITIONAL Charges for Dealer Fees($900?), and of course, Tax, Tag, and Title. In effect, Capital Auto Mall's Final Purchase Price would be Between $18,350 and the CarFax Value Purchase Price of $19,170. I highly recommend that you also Review the Google reviews, Especially, all those who experienced this Issue of Raising/Changing the Purchase Price, At the last minute and Right before you are Ready to Buy and after Spending Hours and Hours of just waiting and waiting. I believe that is part of their Sales Strategy. The CarFax Report stated No Accidents, but ... when the Vehicle was finally brought out to inspect, which was after several hours, the Vehicle had Front End Damage. That was it for me. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TINE!!! I called in the morning to verify that a car I saw online was still available and it was so I made an appointment to see it. I drove 2.5hours to get there to find out that they didn't have the car any longer. I understand it's a first come first serve business but common courtesy of at least a phone call to let me know they didn't have it. In addition, when I got there I inquired about two other cars. Both had significant wear and tear and needed parts to be repaired. How on earth do you go to buy a car and it's not even ready to go or on the lot???? read more
