Great guy. Found easy and inexpensive solution to HVAC issue. Tuned up our HVAC, and charged a reasonable amount for parts and labor.

Mario seems like an awesome guy who will keep telling you over and over how honest and committed he is. He's awesome indeed. Well, he's awesome when he shows up. About 2 years ago, we gave Mario exclusive dibs to do all AC service at ; Clermont area locations. He was awesome for a couple of months. Then he stopped showing up entirely. Then he wouldn't return calls. He wouldn't return texts. Ghosted. Nearly 2 years later, I needed a unit or two completely replaced and on a whim, I decided to give Mario a chance again, Instant answers and tons of over-the-top reassurances about what an honest and sincere guy he is. Says he had ghosted us back then because he had fallen off a ladder somewhere else and was injured. We felt bad, of course, Still not sure why he didn't ever let us know or call or text us back but ok, we decided to give him another chance. Mario installed two AC units quickly and professionally (except that he failed to provide a proper thermostat on one , didn't have the correct manufacturer numbers to link up a replacement he gave us, and we never managed to get one of the ones he installed back in our app to remotely control ACs....Said he'd make it right but never did ...) He also said he wanted another shot at being our go to AC guy and handling all of our units at all locations (about a dozen units). Just some weeks later, we reached out to Mario about a situation with another AC. Silence. No reply. We followed up. He told us he was busy ok a big job in Jacksonville but would be home in a couple of days. We told him it could wait and we tossed some ideas back and forth. He was coming home Saturday or Sunday and said he'd come by Monday to evaluate the ac situation. Monday came and went. No Mario. Called. Texted. No Mario. Got another service to evaluate fix it quickly and for under $1000. It's now Tuesday, a day and a half after super honest family hard working man Mario was to come by ....still nothing ...not a sound, not a text ....Ghosted... So, clearly randomly ghosting and outright ignoring customers wasn't a fluke; It's the norm for Mario; it's part of his "honest" personality, I guess. Sure, if you can get him over, he'll charm you with confidence and probably remind you how many times how honest he is...but it seems one can never know when Mario will just vanish and ghost ya.... Some of his other reviews here seem to imply this isn't the only time he didn't make an appointment he set. read more

I called them to clear the drain lines as water was pooling due to a clogged line but otherwise, the AC was running well. They no showed on the original appointment but came out the next day. They recommended changing of two parts that were working but said they showed some sign of going bad, so I agreed. An hour after they left, my AC stopped running. Since then, it has been loud and stops running if it runs for more than 30 minutes and has to be hard reset to start back up. I have called numerous times and left messages and they never reply. I recommended going with a different company. read more

Contacted Mario a few times, by phone and text, seemed nice enough. Wanted to get our A.C.'s coils acid washed. We had an appointment which he cancelled early enough. He made some attempts too follow up but never did. Now we're in peak season and I don't want to take a chance messing with the AC since it's working. read more

Hi. Just want to say I had a great experience with Mario about a year and a half ago. He replaced a part on my air conditioner outside of the unit. I had no air for 2 days. He came replaced the part. It took him about an hour I believe. I think I was charged about 175.00 or 200.00 dollars. I thought that was very reasonable. He was very professional. I am getting ready to use him again. I appreciate what he did and how quick he came out. I used del air one time where I needed them right away. It was on the weekend and around 9:00 pm. They charged me over 1000.00 dollars to do work that took them about an hour. I couldn't believe it. That was about 5 yrs ago. Never again. Very fast for installation and charging for the services but for warranty purposes is very slow I still waiting...

I had Mario come out to do an acid wash and clean our dirty unit. Our ac would freeze up (only 3 times) so we knew it was needed. He cleaned the unit and did some other things, and we paid just about $800. Literally 5 minutes after he left, the ac was blowing hot air. I texted him and he said we have a bad compressor and that would need to get replaced. We NEVER ever had issues with our AC not working, ever. Only freezing up, and when we'd let it thaw, it'd be fine again. Now he says it's compressor issues because our unit is too big. He tells me to go outside and cool it off with a hose. So I'm out there for WAY more than 30 mins, cooling the compressor off..nothing. I had to pay another company, who was AWESOME and the guy had it legit fixed in 5 minutes. Mario added too much gas (freon), which he charged me $100 for because he said we needed it, and that caused my AC breaker to trip! That's it...not that my perfectly fine compressor was busted or faulty, but that Mario tripped my breaker. Also, HE said he would offer us a 50% refund due to unforseen circumstances. 4.5 weeks go by, no refund. Husband messages him..nothing. wait a week, I reach out and he was super kind and apologetic, saying there was a family emergency. Ok, fine...then he says he will mail out my check of $200. I questioned him on that, because our bill was just under $800...and he stated a FIFTY percent refund. We never asked, he said this! Once I asked him about it only being $200, he quickly changed his attitude and said 'you want it or not?' I said yes, 200 is fine. I even thanked him. Guess what..we never recieved any refund. This dude is a fraud. A total jerk who takes advantage of customers. I don't care how fake and kind he comes off, he doesn't know what he's doing...but he will try and sell you a $10k new unit! Mario came out after multiple scheduling issues stood in his way. My property is out the outer edge of his service area and he made it work. I opted for the service agreement for my 2 systems. Mario guided me through the whole process and explained the strengths and weaknesses of my systems. Mind you, I am a new owner of said property so I was unfamiliar with what I had. He had an issue finding the drain line for one system and instead of calling it quits, he instinctually began digging around with his hands. The picture posted shows him finding the drain line buried under inches of dirt from neglect of the previous owner. He promptly cleared it and it flows as it should. I inquired about products and services and Mario actually told me to wait it out right before summer vs spending the money now. You know you have an honest business person when they place the wallet of the customer over their own invoice. This is definitely my new a/c guy. read more

I called our regular A/C service first and was told I needed our entire system replaced at the end of two hours inspection/labor; "unfixable at this point". I contacted Capital Cooling for a second opinion. I was upfront that I knew my system needed to be replaced and I just wanted another estimate to compare. Mario found a short on the outside unit within ten minutes of arriving; turns out our former service made a repair years ago with inferior parts that weren't weatherproof. Bought an A/C and handler from capital. Was told the salesman would be back in about a week with a filter. Never came back. Tried calling and only get "leave a message". I looked up my warranty information and it hasn't been registered. I would love to find out how to get to the filter to change it. That was something I would learn when he came back with a filter. I had another company come out when my air conditioner stopped working and they told me my unit had to be replaced. I called Capital Cooling to get an second estimate for the cost of replacement. They came out and fixed the unit in 20 minutes and told me there was no reason to replace it. I hadn't even asked them to see if it could be repaired as I assumed it could not. Our A/C unit kept shutting off, shortly after it would turn on. We changed the filter and put more vinegar in the line, which seemed to help temporarily. Ultimately, it stopped working. Mario is the type of business owner you wish for, someone who is positive, driven to solve a problem, and reliable. From the moment I met Mario, I felt in good hands with someone I could trust. We contacted Capital Cooling and Heating about a musty smell from our AC unit despite a recent unit-cleaning.
