My friends always talked about his place and how awesome it is... Well new place to try for me. After hike wanted to have some alcohol and wings n capital grill on way home. My first impression is really good. Ambience is very nice and relaxing... There is a fireplace going on as u enter and enought table for customers. Clean restaurant is always plus. They also have bar area on the left as u enter n a patio outside do it summer. I always like service for these local places. People are so nice, warm and inviting. Our server was very nice n helpful. When asked her suggested that my choice of garlic herb wings is good as it's one of the favorite dish. He was also very friendly. We ordered rum n coke, wings and glass of wine. Drink we're made according to the standard and wing were just amazing. They we're oven bakes garlic and herb wings. Cooked to perfection and cripsy. That first bite was so good n yum to stress go away. It was hot n sizzling when served, exactly like I live to eat my wings. It didn't taste like one of those chain restaurants wings, they taste fresh. Went here to celebrate my friends promotion and his upcoming move. There was a good crowd. Unfortunately service was poor. Food was actually good. Enjoyed the beers. But my food came out almost fifteen minutes after every one. My second beer after much delay was brought only half full glass cause they ran out. (It was free) same happened to a friends beer. Another beer was wrong. I asked for more dip for my prime rib. There was even a delay in that so I couldnt finish my sandwich, as everyone was ready to leave. Started off with the Coal Fire wings and let me tell you, these are by far the best tasting, non fried, fall off the bone wings I have ever tried. There personal mushroom pizza is very good. Love the taste of everything. The cheese was good. Usually you don't find good pies at places like this. The ambiance was also nice inside. A little more upscale looking then most "bar" places. I do however, wish they had more vegetarian options. Like a garden burger to substitute a lot of the burger choices. The pumpkin beer is amazing. Ordered the Hawaiian pizza and WOW it was amazing. Don't be afraid of the jalapeños, they prepare them in a way that takes most of the heat. The spice combined with the sweet BBQ sauce is a marriage made in heaven. Service was attentive and friendly. Went there w/ group of friends for happy hour after work. We were there for 2 hrs and when I was leaving I decided to take pizza home since it was half off for happy hr. They charged me full price. When I inquired they said because I was taking it home. I disputed it and the manager told me she'd accommodate me "but this will be the last time".. are they doing me some favor? This used to be a great spot for lunch. A salad with shrimp and an iced tea were $10, but they have dramatically increased their prices so that the exact same salad and iced tea now costs $25. This was my first time at Capital Craft our server was Kaci she is an amazing server. The food was very good but the experience was the best because of Kaci. She makes you feel like you are her only customer. Also they have done an amazing job regarding the social distancing of the tables, I was truly comfortable. This is my first time eating out since the pandemic began. I appreciate the attention to that detail. Many restaurants began proper distancing and then kept adding tables I am sure for income but I want to thank Capital Craft for putting our safety ahead of profits. Came here last night (03/2016). It was a Friday night and the place was packed and busy. There was a larger a party waiting to sit but me and my partner were sat immediately. Overall the experience was very good. The atmosphere was very noisy, but it's Friday night. My partner and I ordered and split the salmon cakes, grilled cheese, French onion soup, and pulled pork sandwich. All were amazing and came out relatively quick. Our server, Ashley was extremely attentive. Even the food runners were polite. We waited for nothing and everyone had a smile on. I will definitely return here! read more

Capital craft on 22 made an awkward situation feel as if they were ready for it all along. The seating is situated in a way that's more comfortable than some places in door seating. Service is great. Capital craft has a great selection of craft beers. We like to order the beer flights to try a variety of their current selection. The mules are well made as well. The food is good, but nothing special. We knew the crispy brussel sprouts were fried, but there was too much residual oil. The pizza was flavorful but a bit soft for being coal fired. We'd consider going back to try different items or during happy hour, but mainly because of the beer flights. The service at the bar is great, but when seated in the restaurant it's terrible! After being seated by the hostess, we waited for 20 min for our waitress to come over, introduce herself, and take our drink order. We requested water along with our drinks and had to remind the waitress several times. It was also hard to get her attention and had to request other wait staff to get her for us. In the meantime we could see she was chatting and messing around with other wait staff near the computer. Hopefully with some more training, Capital Craft can earn another star in this area in the future from me. read more

We had been here once before and had a good time and decided to come back to grab a bit to eat and a coupe of beers at the bar. Sadly it was a big mistake tonight. We sat at the bar where there were a total of six people and the restaurant was NOT busy at all. We were handed menus without any hello or acknowledgement at all, after we ordered a beer flight and beer we had to wait quite a while for the bartender to finally come back to take food order. We got our food and waited and waited to see if bartender would ask if everything was okay with the food or if we wanted another drink which we did and would have ordered another round but he seemed more interested in socializing with the waitresses rather than be attentive to customers. The couple that was sitting next to us said to us on their way out: good luck with your service tonight because he's horrible. They said that he basically threw the menus in front of them and took forever to order and never check to see how they were doing. Boy were they were 100% on point with that statement. We spoke to manager on on way out and informed him of our complete poor dining experience we had. Not sure if Christian the bartender has a future in the hospitality industry. read more

We first stopped here when they had only been open a few days. Loved it then. We've been back at least a dozen times. Everything is always good, drinks are great, wait staff perfect! On busy nights I wish they would open up the second floor so there are more seatings. We live very close so this has become a nice local place. Gluten free bar food? Cider on the beer menu? Count me in! I was definitely impressed during my recent visit to Capital Craft. I went one afternoon with my boyfriend who is a craft beer connoisseur of sorts. As a gluten free, non-beer drinker, I went in anticipating a drink menu dedicated only to beer and a menu featuring only beer braised this and beer battered that. I was more than prepared and happy to settle with an Angry Orchard and a plain grilled chicken salad or something, but what a pleasant surprise! There was a delicious, not-too-sweet German cider on the beer list, and as for the food, one glance at the menu and I was greeted by several friendly little GF icons! We decided to share some appetizers and went with the crab and artichoke dip and some classic buffalo wings. The crab and artichoke dip was INSANELY good, served with warm corn tortilla chips. Even though we were sharing it, I'm pretty sure I ate about 3/4 of it... oops! The wings were just as good! They were meaty and juicy and had just enough buffalo sauce to where you enjoyed the flavor and didn't end up wearing it. As for the beer, my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed sampling several beers that they had from local NJ breweries. We're definitely looking forward to a second trip! read more
