Unfortunately bad customer service. Hate coming to this location but for a quick drink, it's gets the job done. The Tumeric latte is my favor it. The ambiance is cool but the poor customer service really does kill the vibe in my opinion

As per usual whenever I'm in the financial district of downtown LA, I always come to this spot because It's always clean, good vibe, and the staff are just very professional/kind. Haven't tried the food here yet, but I will definitely be giving that a try the next time i come here.

You don't have to be a capital one customer but it's nice perk if you are! Sometimes there are great offers for current and new customers. The space is great to hang out and work, and the drinks are reasonably priced. Starting today through September MLB is sponsoring free drinks every Monday with sign up, so this is a great excuse to check out!

Nice coffee shop, fast and friendly service. Got a blueberry matcha, but couldn't taste much blueberry. Still pretty good

Capital One Cafe hates to see me coming... I'm always here whenever I have to be in LA and have some work to get done, especially when they offer free drinks! GETTING HERE AND PARKING: You could look for street parking and there are some paid lots nearby, but I always take the Metro here, very convenient WHAT I'VE ORDERED: Iced cinnamon maple latte with cold foam Iced ginger snap latte Nitro cold brew THE DRINK: Honestly, the drinks are just okay. I don't know if it's the syrups but they kinda don't taste like much, especially in comparison to other coffee shops you could be going to in LA. BUT they are solid, and very much worth it when free. The cold brew was pretty alright. SERVICE: Staff is amazing and very welcoming. Drinks come out quick. Be sure to check for deals via the Capital One Cafe site, especially during MLB season. You get 50% with a Capital One card otherwise. VIBES: PERFECT for working/studying. Here's my work-from-coffee-shop checklist: * OUTLETS: Many! * WIFI/INTERNET: Yes, pretty good speed * BATHROOMS: Yes, single stall restroom that's pretty clean. * VOLUME: Not really loud at all. * SEATING AVAILABILITY: Usually a ton on the weekday. Variety of seats, including tables and single-person seating. There's also a nook you can reserve * LAPTOP FRIENDLINESS: No restrictions BOTTOM LINE: My go-to! I'm always back here.

It was fun! The colors and the kindness behind the wanderlust vibe of Capital One! I love that if you use your Capital one card, your drink is 50% off. It is so good! You can't go wrong with a deal like that! However the coffee was not the business. I got an iced honey lavender latte, and it was gross however the service was spot on. They were so kind and quick. I had fun. Perks of being a member

Stopped by the Capital One Café and had two cappuccinos. With my Capital One card, we got a 50% discount and paid only about $7 for both drinks, which was a great deal. The coffee had a clean taste, was smooth, fresh, and flavorful. The café was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Definitely worth a visit if you're a Capital One cardholder.

Why I haven't written a review for this place I've been coming to for the past 4 years or so?!?!?!?! Well I came early for a Lakers game and instead of my usual Starbucks stop I came here to do my work and go to the game after. PLUS if you have a Capital One Account you get 50% off handcrafted beverages..... The place is spaced out well and plenty of plugs and tables chairs to do your work or just hangout....pretty clean with security inside as well. There are 2 rooms "nooks" they call them at other locations....that you can have privacy but looks like one is converted for internal use only....and the other you have to RSVP....before you didn't.... Either way I like this location the coffee shop is VERVE....

Stopped by the Capital One Café in Downtown LA for coffee and it did not disappoint! The vibe is clean, modern, and comfy a perfect spot to grab a drink, catch up on emails, or just recharge for a bit. The coffee was solid -- smooth, flavorful, and made just right. The staff were super friendly and the service was quick, which is always a win. Hot tip: If you're a Capital One card holder, you get 50% off your drink, which is honestly such a steal. Can't beat a good coffee at half the price! Overall, great environment, great coffee, and even better perks if you have the card. I'll definitely be back!

Ethiopia pour over coffee which is complete TRASH. Don't get it.

Customer service is on point. Very friendly and nice staff. I will say there Ethiopia pour coffee is complete trash. Super sour and watery. I would def take this trash off the menu. Keep up the good work.

I visited this cafe this afternoon in hopes of an easy in and out experience. I waited almost 40 minutes for a drink. The line was pretty long, but to be expected since it was a free coffee day. I was waiting in line when the cashier stopped at me and said that someone would be right with me. I continued to wait for a while as the line grew and workers just watched and were chatting. Finally someone came to take my order. I ordered an iced mocha and of course had to wait awhile which I didn't really understand since no one had ordered before me for at least 10-15 minutes. The coffee was honestly not worth the wait and I would have rather gone somewhere else / paid. However it was free and was alright. I'm sure business was hectic all day so I will also give them grace for that. The environment was clean and there are areas to eat / do work here.

A very much welcome space of roomy quietness oasis in the heart of DTLA. Very open and spacious inside, with plenty of seating and some nook spaces available to check out for small groups of people getting together to work or study. The food and drinks selections are perfectly fine for what is offered. I usually get their signature iced honey lavender latte. It's the perfect combination of balanced and smooth espresso with regular milk, perfectly mixed with a light flowery honey lavender syrup for a nice pick me up any time of day. Plus, 50% off drinks with any Capital One card is a very nice perk! Definitely worth it when compared to other coffee places in the area for convenience and price. The only downside to this location is parking, which is extremely limited on the street and usually will be metered. Expect to circle around to find a spot if coming on a busy weekday.

This cafe is definitely worth visiting if you're a capital one account holder. You can't beat using the ATM and grabbing a coffee or tea for just $2 and some change. Capital one account holders get a nice discount plus there is space to sit in and work or just chill. There are always cute little giveaways , this time around I got a luggage tag. I ordered an iced green tea and it had a slight spice taste to it. Probably some of the cheapest coffee and tea you will get downtown. Parking on the other hand is terrible, and why I rarely visit.

Ask the Community - Capital One Café

    Is there parking?

There's only paid lots in the area or meters on surrounding streets.

Can i get a replacement card?

No, it's a digital bank. It has to be ordered online or through the app

Will one be opening in Orange County any time soon?

It's been 3+ years since your question but looks like there's one in Irvine now!

Are you able to pay your credit card bill here?

    Yes

Is there a parking structure we can use when only going to the capital one cafe?

Yes, $2.75 ea15 minutes, $9.00 max. Unknown if they validate.

Can I pay my capital one credit card bill at the atm with cash?

    Yes

Can I open a SPARK business checking account in this location?

I think so best to call and ask

If i only need to run in to use the ATM (~3mins), wheres the best place to park?

I just spoke with someone at the location and there IS a parking structure at 801 S. Grand and they validate for 45 minutes. The other answers here are all incorrect.

Does this cafe have ATMs for deposit?

Yes. A couple of very nice ones.

When I was told I could…read moreonly deposit it due to not having enough funds in my account, I clearly said no -- I was only trying to cash the check. Despite this, they ran the check through anyway and then stamped it, compounding the error. Because of that stamp, the check can no longer be cashed anywhere else and is now only usable for deposit at Chase. This became clear after I attempted to cash the check at Walmart, where I was told it should never have been stamped and therefore could not be cashed. I went to a second Walmart and received the same response. When I raised the issue at the original Chase branch, I was told that this was "normal procedure" and that they had done nothing wrong -- which is shocking. Running a check without first confirming whether it can be cashed, and then "correcting" that error by stamping it, should not be considered normal procedure. To get further clarification, I went to another Chase branch, where I was again told that stamping the check is standard procedure. However, this was also the first time I was told they "do not know how other places operate," which is equally concerning and highlights a lack of awareness of the real-world impact on customers. They are effectively turning checks into trash everywhere else, making them only depositable with Chase unless the customer already has sufficient funds available in their account. To avoid this situation altogether, the bank should confirm whether a check can be cashed and avoid stamping it entirely unless the customer explicitly authorizes a deposit. This entire situation is the result of Chase's actions, yet the customer is the one left dealing with the consequences. I also contacted Chase customer service, who apologized and acknowledged the issue. It appears this branch is operating mechanically rather than thoughtfully, indicating a need for additional training and process improvement. The representatives words. I hope this helps someone else avoid the same headache. I do NOT recommend this branch.
