I bought my spa several years ago from Capital Spas. I have stopped at the store when in need of supplies. But after years and years of faithful performance, this winter my spa was COLD! I called on the weekend, no less, left a message and a a repairman was out in two days! My spa is built into my deck and the access door is undersized. Kevin had to crawl into the little passage and then had to cut a new access door to get to the heater! I was so surprised that he did this all so well, in what I thought little time. The 2 men were eating when my husband and I walked in, 3 cats sitting on the table that they were eating on. Disgusting!! We told the young man what we were looking for. 2 to 3 Seater, with a lounge. He told us nothing was available on the floor. And he showed us a brochure with diagram. I asked what was the delivery expected time, and there was no real clear answer. The older man was very sarcastic. I told him I understood about the Covid delay. I want to buy spa, I'm seriously making a decision tomorrow. He continued to be rude about delivery time. This is absolutely the worst place to buy a hot tub. I warn you don't do it! I bought a spa from them in March and have had nothing but problems. Don (owner)is the biggest problem as he is unprofessional and unwilling to fix the product that he is legally obligated to fix and maintain because it is under warranty. It is brand new. I spent $5000 on a hot tub and it has been replaced with three damaged hot tubs in a matter of seven months! When the spa was originally delivered to me it had damage on the structure of it as it look like a forklift had gouged it badly. He sent out one of his employees to sand it down, yes I said sand it down! This made it much worse and I called him and told him I was not happy with it and he said "well too bad it's not like I'm going to replace it! "As he continued to scream and yell at me on the phone I said I paid you $5000 and you will replace it. He ended up hanging up on me and Joe, I believe he is another owner of the store or at least he has some position that gives him authority there called me back said he would take care of it and ordered a new spa to be delivered. The new spa was delivered and it also ended up having structural problems. The entire bottom of the hot tub was bubbled up badly all over more than five or 6 inches tall. I called and told them about it and he sent a tech out to try and resolve the issue a couple different times. They ended up removing foam out of the bottom of the spa, the Foam is there to insulate the spa so this is also a concerning way of solving .....this did not work and the spa continue to have a manufacture defect in it. About four weeks after my initial call about the second spa Joe called me and said he ordered a new one and it would be delivered. I thanked him and set up a date and it was delivered today. This hot tub also had gashes out of the inside of it it looks again like it is from a forklift. I am so irritated at this point because I feel like they should be inspecting their product before it gets delivered and confirming that everything is in good condition.One of the techs,Michael, who has been really great and none of this is his fault ,called and told them about it and Don of coarse is just mad at me about it! So he says I can keep this damage spa or I can take the damage spa they just put back on the truck. That is unacceptable to me I said they can either credit me back the entire spa and take it away and we can be done with each other or they can credit me half of the spa and I will keep the damage spa or he can order me a brand new spa ,check it for damage before it's delivered to me as I did pay $5000 for a new product. He said I'll give you $100 check! This guy is unbelievable. If you have a problem with your spa he does not stand behind his product and it is illegal for him not to honor the warranty. It is not my fault that they keep delivering damaged product to me that's his fault. So he has chosen to keep my $5000 told his employees to leave and he left me with a damaged spa that he plans on doing nothing about. I called the store and told him he has to rectify the situation or I will write a bad review, picket outside his store, and call every news station that will listen. His response was"bring it on baby". So unprofessional. I would encourage you to NEVER EVER BUY A PRODUCT FROM THIS STORE!!!!He thinks one review won't ruin him but I will make sure he either resolves the situation or reviews and complaints will eventually impact his business.I have pictures of every single damage spa that he sent my way and I will show those to every review site, and every news station as well as the BBB. This hot tub has a five year structure warranty as well as a five-year shell and surface warranty so that I'm being argued with about this is absurd. Don you should be grossly apologetic and completely embarrassed that your continuing to allow bad product to be delivered to a costumer over and over. The only narrative I should be hearing from you is that you are extremely sorry for what has happened and you , as the owner, will absolutely make it right. Just had my Freeflow Azure hot tub delivered today and I can't be more happy with my purchase! I had to wait three months for it to come but it is so worth it. Perfect timing too now that it is cooling off (finally). Thanks to covid all my vacation plans got cancelled so I decided to buy a hot tub instead. The process was so easy and delivery was a breeze. We did our homework on looking for the perfect hot tub for our backyard. Initially we thought we'd go the big box store route, like Costco but were soon convinced that that wasn't going to be an option for us. We called in to Capital City Hot Tubs and met Don Luke, owner with several decades of experience in this industry and quickly came to understand the intricacies of hot tub buying. We felt no pressure and just to be sure that our gut feeling was right about Capital City, we went to a major comparable competitor and crunched the numbers. We made our decision and came to an agreement. Everything went as promised and after waiting six weeks (as predicted) our hot tub was delivered and professionally installed on Christmas Eve. I don't appreciate the owner having my review removed. His condescending response is so far out of line, I'm not sure why anyone would ever shop here? Had I looked at Yelp before I came here I never would have come in. I went to this store with the intent to buy a hot tub as a Christmas gift for my wife and I. I had looked at another two places before coming here at the end of November. When I walked in there was a guy sitting down eating what appeared to be a sandwich. I thought since maybe nobody else was there I could see, no big deal. Another guy walked right up to him without a mask on and started chatting. Then a third man which I now recognize as the owner walked over them also not wearing a mask and started to speak to them. That's as far as my shopping experience went as I left. Store seemed like it had options and likely could have been a contender for my purchase. I am very glad I walked out and I am very glad I did not give them any money. I can't imagine dealing with this company if there was a problem with the product. If the owners response is trash people on here I'm sure he has no issue with doing it in person at his store either. I had read reviews how they don't try to up sale and push high end products and those reviews were completely correct! They also sell a great brand. The guys who set up the hot tip were amazing as well. Took about 1-1/2 hours, they bring it in, set in place, hook with the electrical and fill with water. Once filled they run though all the info you need to know to maintain your hot tub. It was a lot of info but came with a cheat sheet! Our experience here was awesome! We went to another well known Hot Tub dealer prior and was turned off by the dealer. We came here and immediately liked Gene McCann. He was very informed, pleasant to talk with and wasn't a high pressure salesman. We were looking for a hot tub early November and Gene said he had a Hot Tub coming in January if we wanted it. It was a bit more than we were looking for, but the timing was perfect; otherwise we would have been looking at least a 6 month wait! They sold him the wrong filter and Don did not want to get stuck with the filter. They sold us a small filter. He told my husband if it does not fit do not come back. OK, Don you can count on it! Capital City does not have salespeople, but hot tub technicians that provide a thorough overview of each hot tub that align with your requirements. Mike was the technician who greeted me and made sure I knew that their main priority was having me choose the hot tub I wanted, no matter if it was the entry level Freeflow or a premium Caldera Spa. I wet tested two hot tubs and although I liked the price point of the Freeflow, ended up choosing a Caldera Spa (Kauai). Additionally, Don the owner was excellent and his 30+ years of being in business gave my wife and I confidence that the service and maintenance of our new hot tub will be in great hands. In my research I learned that 50% of buying a hot tub is the actual model/brand and the other 50% is choosing a reliable dealer who has been in business for a long time. In purchasing a hot tub you also have to consider additional electrical needs and Capital City has you covered. I met Kevin who works with Capital City as their electrician and he was great walking me through the process and giving me an electrical overview of the hot tubs I was considering. If you are looking for a reputable company, where they not only recommend the best product for you, but complete the install and product walk through, then you don't have to go any further than Capital City Hot Tubs (CCHT). They really take the time to explain everything with you from the time you walk in the door, to the delivery/install of the tub, to the time they leave. Customer Service is big with me and I appreciate what CCHT provided. Some companies offer great rates but their sales team lack an understanding of the product or the process for installation (e.g. navigating your backyard and electrical set up). I visited five different vendors (including State Fair) and couldn't find one that matched CCHT. This company provides the best customer service and spends time with you to ensure you know/understand what you are getting and how to use it for the life of the hot tub. If you are considering buying a hot tub, check out a few other places and then come see Capital City Hot Tub. That's what I did. You'll see the difference and buy from them. Anybody can buy a spa from Costco for cheap; however the installation, education, and service are what sets CCHT apart. That's worth more to me that saving $500. With a lifetime purchase decision, go with peace of mind and not the big box store or fast talking sales kid who doesn't understand (experienced) the end to end process. read more

I got it installed, but didn't know how to manage it from the spa builder's manual. We used it and it was a bit smelly, cloudy, and then UBER chlorine-y. With Jim's help, I now know how to ensure my health, the spa's systems, the cover, and the water clarity. Super stoked. If you're considering BUYING a spa, he might be good to go with.
