Tin is the man!! My story started off like most others, stolen hyundai, damaged and towed here. All the other autobody vendors from my insurance were backed up months out. This would've costed a fortune with my rental. Tin said he could do the job for me and I trusted him. Finished within a few days just had to wait for the parts. Tonight March 16th my daughter was coming back from the Hartford hospital she was entering the highway and her steering wheel locked up. I called AAA and they sent out Capital Towing. Incredible roadside service company! AAA was horrendous and after making me wait three hours, called back and said no tow would be available until the next morning (almost 12 hours)! And this not my first issue with them. The Hartford Police Department nicely offered me close to 10 different local tow companies phone numbers that they use. Every one of them except this place went to Voicemail. One later did return my call but said they couldn't take me the mere 7 miles that I needed to travel. This place was my hero for sure! The management was courteous, efficient, and timely. The driver named Justin was incredibly great & careful in getting my car to the repair destination. He was also a genuinely caring person as I shared with him all the towing challenges of AAA (extreme wait time, disregard for my explained safety concern, etc.) & lack of any other place even answering their phones of the evening. I made this company aware of my extreme appreciation for their help tonight. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Adam was very helpful! I called another towing company twice tonight and the driver never came or called me. Capital Ave. Towing came within 15 minutes and gave me quote ahead of time. Awesome! One criticism. They only received cash. I would suggest the drivers have Square accounts to allow credit and debit cards. read more

My car broke down while I was in Hartford for only a month. Tin, answered the phone after a Siri search of where to get my car fixed. He was very nice, personable, and pleasant to work with. He explained everything to me in layman's terms and was very accommodative. His pricing was fair and he did not try to sell me anything extra (which I am sure my car could use). My younger sister asked me to jump start her car, sitting on our grandmother's lawn, which she was taking to be repaired. I agreed and drove my car up onto the lawn, but as I tried to get closer to her car I noticed my wheels were spinning and kicking up mud. I was stuck, we tried wedging wood boards under the wheels, but every attempt to get out of the mud just dug a deeper and muddier ditch under the back wheels. We gave up and called State Farm Roadside Assistance to pull both of our cars out of the mud and off of the lawn. They sent out Tin from Capitol Automotive. As soon as he arrived he got out of the car, shook my hand and introduced himself. He then devised a plan on how to get my car out of the mud and off the lawn, he explained he would use the winch to pull it in reverse across the lawn instead of pulling it over the high curb directly in front of my car so as not scrape the underside of my car. Then he would follow by doing the same with my sister's car, but he would tow her car to her mechanic for repair. During the time he was pulling our cars out of the mud he was very personable and even comedic at times. I highly recommend Capitol Automotive for your next roadside emergency because Tin is not only good in a tricky situation , but is by far the friendliest tow operator you'll meet. read more
