For context, I rate businesses and products on a simple scale: 5 stars means I love it, 4 stars means I like it, 3 stars is okay, 2 stars means I didn't like it, and 1 star means I hated it or think it's unsafe. I purchased LVP flooring from this company to replace laminate flooring that was damaged after a roofing project went wrong at our HOA condo. Since I live out of state, coordination was especially important, and the entire process was handled very smoothly. We were able to take advantage of a sale and placed a deposit for the order. Communication was clear and consistent, and scheduling installation was easy. The only unexpected issue was that the cement subfloor had not been properly leveled when the previous laminate floor was installed. It required a significant amount of leveling concrete, which added $2,865 to the project. To their credit, the possibility of this additional expense was clearly explained well before installation. I hoped for the best, but it simply didn't work out in my favor. This was not the fault of the company or the installers. We were told installation would take four days, but the crew completed the job in just two. The three installers were professional, friendly, and extremely efficient. They kept the work area tidy, managed materials and debris responsibly, and handled moving heavy furniture without issue. The finished floor looks beautiful and the quality of the installation is excellent. I am very pleased with the results and with how smoothly everything came together, especially while coordinating repairs from out of state after the water damage. LVT flooring I don't have the time to tell you the entire story but long story short their main installation crew moved away, and they have one good installation crew left. We have had an absolutely miserable time with them. Even when you call the store, they sound like great salesman because they're polite, but when you need them, there as vague as can be. It's like pulling a tooth - so the two-year warranty is an absolute sham. I am a luxury home builder. My recommendation is to find another company. Installation was fraught with horrible workmanship. I frankly don't have the time to explain it all. But they did finally send one of their top installers; he was a nice guy, but the company itself is all BS. And I still have big imperfections that I just decided to live with instead of having them back. They do talk a great game read more

This is the 2nd part of my previous review. I said I would write how things went with the process from start to finish of the removal of two rooms of carpet and installation of laminate flooring. Well, I ordered a floor based on color and quality. When I went back to the store the very next day to order, my salesperson, Barbie, who was highly recommended to me, was away on a vacation so the other rep helped me and took the order. I was required to put down half the $ but if I paid with a credit card, there would be an additional 4% charge. I decided to pay extra just to have recourse in case there was a problem. You never know what could happen and it's worth the peace of mind. Barbie had said it would take 7-10 days for it to come in and the installer would call to arrange a date to do the job. Well 2 weeks went by and no phone call. I went into the store to check. They said it came in. Barbie again was not there. The next day the installer called and we arranged installation on Monday, June 16 and the installer would call me that morning before 10 am to say what time they would be there. I wasn't happy about that because I thought they should call at least the night before so I could plan my day. But they called about 9 am and came at about 10. Jonathan and his Spanish speaking helper started to work, carefully removing my furniture and assessing my floors. Of course the floors needed to be leveled which meant they had to pour cement. I was aware of an extra cost if that should happen. This added more time to the job because it takes 24 hours to dry. The next day was basically a lost day because it had to dry and some areas needed more time. The 3rd day they started at 8:30 am. I was out doing errands but my husband was there in the house. At 10:15 I get a call that the laminate product was defective and they couldn't get it to connect correctly. I had to pick another product. I was beside myself because this would cause a major delay if what I picked wasn't in stock. And my house was in chaos with furniture out of place - my BR - and clothes out of my closets. The good news was I picked the other choice I had at the beginning of the process and it was available in stock at the warehouse. What a relief! The guys returned the bad product and brought back the new one and worked hard to complete the job in my master bedroom. They did an excellent job and put back all my furniture all in one piece. The other room was going to get done the next day. Backing up a bit, Barbie was never there for me during this whole time. She left the company and I was left out to dry. If I didn't follow up myself, I'm sure I'd still be waiting to get that original phone call. Also, because of the stress, I asked for a discount but the manager, Alan said "no" to me. What should have happened, was as soon as they knew Barbie was leaving, they should have distributed her clients to other reps. Alan said he'd leave the new paperwork for me to pick up today (my printer was disconnected because of the job). When I went in this morning to get it, he never left it for me and it was a major inconvenience for the other salesman to attend to me. Part of the paperwork numbers were incorrect. He didn't care about helping me so I stormed out of there. Before I even got home, Johnathan, the installer texted me to say that the job was completely done and he sent me a picture. When I got home, I paid him the amount that it was supposed to be according to my records. It's rare that things go completely smooth these days and I am prepared for that. The good news is there was a silver lining. The job was done on time and it is beautiful. I'm very happy but I'm not so sure I would recommend Capital Carpet again. read more

BEWARE of KEVIN who is overly salesy and will lie to you for no apparent reason.. I spent 10K and ordered new carpets. I was told the carpets will be here in 2 weeks and once there are in it only takes 1-2 days for scheduling. Okay wonderful. Several weeks go by and I hear nothing, so I called Kevin back a couple times and he kept saying it's Fabrica and its back-ordered. He kept falling back on, once it comes in Ron will call to schedule your installation and it only takes 1-2 days to be scheduled once the carpets arrive. Ok great. Fast forward two months now and we just heard from Ron for the 1st time. I am scheduled for the 1st available date which is 3 weeks out! Kevin only over-exaggerated by turning a 3 week process into a 3 month process. He is actually annoyed that I continue to call him when he himself set these expectations... Then he tells me customers only hear what they want to hear insinuating my frustration is my own fault. Expectations are everything and you can expect KEVIN to have diarrhea come out of their mouth. read more

He managed our expectations beautifully. When came time for installation the guys were terrific. They explained everything, acted professionally at all times and did a great job. I have been a home owner for 26 years and have never had such a bad experience as this one with Capitol Carpet and Tile. We placed our order in mid-October for window treatments and three weeks later were notified that they were on back order until January 31. Today, February 2, we were notified that the items we ordered are now on back order until May. They act like they expect us to wait until May. Why should I believe they will be delivered in May? They act like there's nothing wrong doing business this way and pass the blame on to the company who they order from. Had I known that this would have happened, I would have cancelled the order when I was notified of the first delay. I will never do business with this company and will make sure that my neighbors in South Florida know about my experience. read more

After a year. I finally am writing this review and mainly because every night it reminds me of how a huge company can take advantage of a person who relied on them. And paid more than it was worth. I contracted this company for window treatments. My sales person was amazing. I showed her pictures of what I wanted, and assured me that they could definitely give me exactly what I am looking for. (It took almost a year to get the materials because of covid) When they came to install them, it was not anything I asked for. They were even the wrong size. After 3 times they came back out with new shutters, again they were wrong. At that point. I called the company and told them to come take your materials out. As I'm not going through this again. I called my credit card company and put a dispute that what they're trying to give me is totally not what i asked for, and I wanted them to take there shutters back and give me my money back. The window treatment manager wrote back to my credit card company and lied to them. Then another representative from the company came out. And agreed with me. That he cannot believe what a horrible job, and he himself would not pay for what was put up in my home. Again the same installer came back and measured again and at this point, he pressured me to agreeing to the measurements, of the shutters , as they were already ordered two times prior, and were wrong. "This is the last time we are going to order these shutters, so you must agree this is what you want". What I wanted was all the same size shutters. And they convinced me that it would not look right. I contracted with this company, because my sales Rep. assured me that she knew exactly what I wanted and could accommodate me with exactly the pictures I gave her. So now, I was pressured to either accept them with a discount. After a whole year of waiting, Or start my whole process with another company. So I agreed to settle after 4 attempts of trying to get this project right, and be done with this nightmare after a year. To this day, Every night, when I I shut my shutters it just reminds me that I should never have agreed to settle with a discount. I am so mad at myself. But after a year of back and forth, I was so mentally exhausted that it just wasn't worth the fight. If I could, i would rate this company minus -5 stars. read more

The tile installation wasn't as smooth but when I finally spoke with the owner Ron he made sure his team came to my home and fixed any issues I had. I had them install vinyl floors in the majority of my house. The prices were higher than other places that I had checked out. But having several friends who recommended Capitol and seeing firsthand the quality of their work and I figured that the saying that you get what you pay for is true. The entire process was a pleasure. Ray our salesman at the Boynton location took the time to answer all of our questions and helped us figure out what we wanted through a ton of questions. About a week after putting in our deposit the installation department gives us a call and we pick a date. Install crew shows up on time and does a excellent job. The work is top notch and they had several difficult spots when installing the new base. Which came out beautifully. They stayed late and finished it in one day. I am a small company owner and I purchased 9 motorized shades for a customer, these shades measured 10 feet long and 10 1/2 feet tall. The measuring and installation went well until we found one of the shades had marks on them. I called the salesperson I delt with and instead of them coming out to the job and looking at the problem I had to take pictures and send them to them. After a week of no return calls, I was promised that they would have a new one in 4 to 6 weeks. This all started in April 2022, new shade should be in June 2022, called in June got the run around that the company is short materials should be in by August, (let's see another 6 weeks) shade did not arrive till the end of September. Set installation date meet the installer ready to set the shade only to find cuts in the material (here we go again). Another one gets ordered 6 more weeks. New one arrives meet the installer only to find they ordered the wrong shade they ordered the one for the bedroom instead of the kitchen (again, this one only took 4 more weeks) Finally at the end of January 2023 10 months later its done. The service could not have been worse all this time and at my cost to go to the customer and to explain all this was exhausting and neither my customer nor myself will NEVER do business with Capital Carpet & Tile again. We had one of the best experiences dealing with Capital. We purchased wood look porcelain tile from the salesman Rolan at the Boynton Beach store. There was no pressure and we took many different tile samples with us until we found what we liked. The manager Nick also made sure we were happy. The topper off was the person who did the installation, not only was he the A+ team he was also a perfectionist. We had carpeting installed in our living room and hallway. In the process our thresholds going to two bedrooms were broken. I previously left a review for this company and gave one star. I am giving them four stars because the manager called and was concerned about my complaint. He had one of his men come and install two thresholds. The manager handled the matter in a very professional and non-defensive way. That is the way all managers should handle customer complaints. Today is September 23, 2018. We hired capital window fashions to put in some plantation shutters in our house. We were told that it could take two months for delivery and it took about two or three weeks less time than they thought. The men were polite and they did quality work and the installation was perfect. They were in and out within about an hour. We would definitely hire them again. Very satisfied! read more

Capitol Carpet and Tile installed tile flooring in my kitchen, dining, living and master bedrooms when I moved into my Boynton home several years ago. I was very pleased. In November, 2014, the flooring suffered "eruptions" throughout the house. The insurance adjusters and engineers declined any coverage. Their finding was that the installation was faulty. Capitol Carpet did not feel this was due to any problem with installation. Mr. DiFranco and Mr. Blane personally reviewed the flooring at my residence. While they did not feel the installation was at fault, they did see the extensive damage. After consideration and research, Mr. DiFranco and your company decided to do what was best for me, the consumer, and make things right. My flooring is repaired, new baseboards are installed. This company was amazing! I can't say enough good things about our sales representative Kate Hurt! She was amazing. Very knowledgeable, and went above and beyond for us. We ordered carpet for our main bedroom. It was a beautiful carpet, nicely priced. It was ordered and came in at the exact timetable and installed within two days of receiving. In fact we had also purchased carpet from Lowe's for our second bedroom at the same time and received horrendous service. Carpet arrived late and installers pushed us off three times for three weeks and were "hopeful" they could get to us the next week. We cancelled our order at Lowe's. The manager there told us that it is a known issue with the installers the Lowe's uses, but corporate refuses to change companies. We went to capital carpet and tile to order the second bedroom carpet from there as well. Kate made some recommendations to us and luckily it was in stock. Since they were installing our master bedroom the next day, Kate was able to get them to install the guest bedroom carpet at the same time. She even came to our house after her end of work day to measure the room for us (since all installs require company to do their own measurement). The installers were amazing. Came on time, moved all furniture, replaced both carpets and pad at the same time, removed old carpet and pad, replaced furniture to exact spot it was before in the rooms and cleaned the house, hallway, elevator, etc of all carpet remnants. Such good team work!!! I am not a review writer, but I really felt the need to say this whole experience was so good. I could have hugged Kate when she told me they could do both carpets in the same day because I was so upset with Lowe's!!!! Thank you Kate and all the rest of the crew at Capital Carpet and Tile. BTW, the second bedroom carpet price was comparable to Lowe's. We paid a little more for the master bedroom, but Lowe's did not have anything near the quality we found at Capital carpet and tile. Capitol Carpet & Tile just finished installing porcelain "wood-resembling slats" in both of my bathrooms, which were installed under the direction of their Tile Manager, Reubens. To say that he is a "perfectionist" and the bathroom floors are breathtaking almost seems to under-rate their amazing work and the outcome. In the same week I had both of my bedroom carpets replaced because they had been damaged by a flood caused by an upstairs apartment. Their salesman, Phil, is as brilliant as a walking "Google" when it comes to their product and budgeting for you. I felt completely comfortable choosing what I wanted that worked within my budget. The carpet Installation team showed up with Daniel, their Manager, who quietly removed the furniture from my 2 bedrooms and installed the carpeting within a few hours! I was mesmerized by the outcome. How beautiful! And, what flood??? The salesmen, Installation Managers and each and every one of the crew members are professionals and shining stars! From the store salesman and manager, Anthony and Tony who were both extraordinarily professional, easy to work with, no high pressure and true gentleman. Pricing was very good, installation superb, the owner's Mom even called after the install to ensure our satisfaction. Responsiveness and attention to detail were absolutely extraordinary. There are a few tile places in Boynton to choose from but there is no comparison as far as quality, service and professionalism at Capitol Carpet and Tile! We started shopping for quality vinyl planking and started off at a big box store that everyone knows about. Their quality was not what we expected and they had very little choices for commercial grade vinyl. In addition, their lack of customer service was a joke. For such a large store, we couldn't locate one person to assist us so we left. This is where Capitol comes in. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Gabriel. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about all the lines of vinyl that he sells. We are very picky so we spent a couple of weeks deciding, taking home many samples. By the way, these aren't tiny little pieces they lend you, but big boards with all of the product information and pictures on the back. After a while, we went back to purchase what we chose but we weren't really excited about the pattern. Gabriel took the time and told us "don't buy anything that you really don't want". Now, in steps the manager Nick. He also assisted us and gave us other options to look at. Suffice to say, we bought vinyl that day for our entire house. Not only did he tell us when it will be delivered, he called us the day of delivery and gave us the expected time frame and every detail. The service here is impeccable and the quality of the vinyl is amazing. And no, they are not "expensive" as you get what you pay for. Do not use these people! I had wide plank laminate installed throughout my home and 6 years later it looks so bad that I have to remove it all. They did not install the correct barrier between the terrazzo and the wood. Now it's buckled and looks awful! read more
