The pizza is delicious. Pepperoni bakes into cups, the crust is perfect. Got it crispy last time and...this is the way. Their fried mozzarella is to die for, don't forget to dip it in their house made sauce! Garlic rolls were perfect. I'm going to try every other thing on this menu at some point. This place is tiny and you can see these guys/ladies are busting their butts every minute. They need more space, but these are good problems to have in the restaurant industry. We really enjoyed Capo Pazzo! First of all really good wine (we had the house merlot, was wonderful). Had the NY style thin crusted pizza and just wow. Great chewy crust, really good marinara sauce and fresh mozzerella -- cooked perfectly. It was a very busy night there, but we managed to get a good table, good service and great pizza. Being born and raised in New England, it takes a lot to WOW me with food in Florida, but this place did just that! Just from walking in, I had a good feeling. Limited menu, the scents of tomato sauce in the air, and a lovely little outdoor seating area. We had the meatballs, which I saw every other table order as well, and the baked ziti bites. Both were absolutely phenomenal. Then the Donnie Brasco pizza...just wow. My fiancé and I looked at each other and said "there's no way the owner is from around here". And we were right! Ok I give you a 3 stars because we were not impressed with the pizzas we got 2 pizzas one was a meat lovers lg. the toppings were far and few between. Most of the pizza was totally bare of toppings! The small one was better. Now that I gotten the pizza out of the way. The Hero Sandwich! Was the STAR of the show! It was FANTASTIC! You could actually see the meat in the sandwich and the toppings went together like steak and baked potato! The topper was the peppers oh yeah! I can't tell you how many times I've had hot or spicy food in Florida just to find out what a let down it was! BUT those peppers were on the mark they set the sandwich off! All the hype I've been reading about on social media is all that and a bag of chips. We each had a personal 12 inch. I had to go straight to the Classics and it tasted just like home. We have some Queens NY (and L.I) dudes showing the sunshine state how pizza it's done. I have to try 18" to see if there's any flop, only thing missing (why 3 instead of 4). The guys running the show were also the ones in front of the oven. It seems that every snowbird from NY was here on a Friday night. Is a small spot but big in 'tude. I read about this pizza shop in the Sarasota Herald. I live in New York City and have a home in Sarasota. The pizza is amazing. My son and I ordered two pies to go (pepperoni and spicy sausage, meatball with ricotta) and an order of wings. We picked the food up and went home. The drive home was unbearable. The smell in the car was amazing. The pizza is the best I've had in Sarasota. The people in the restaurant were very friendly. This will be our go to spot when we return in January. I didn't get a photo of the garlic knots but l've actually missed true knots like I use to have up North in Philadelphia and NYC. ~The signature wings - pretty perfect. I recently was in Sarasota for a work meeting and a colleague of mine recommended this "new pizza spot". He said it was just as good as New York pizza, so being from New York I told him I'll check it out. The food was amazing! I first ordered garlic knots and ate them so fast I forgot to take a picture. My mind was blown when I ate at Capo Pazzo so I figured I had to share my experience. I've eaten at many well known pizza establishments in NY. One of my favorite places has always been L&B spumoni gardens for the special Sicilian style pie. Low and behold I just found the exact same pie at Capo Pazzo. The cheese is under the sauce on this style which makes the crust extra crispy. Their sauce, dough, cheese and quality ingredients are what really stands out. They absolutely nailed it out of the park. On top of that, they have the most incredible selection real deal NY style pizza's, and some that are very unique to Capo. Their kitchen food is also top notch. The meatballs remind me of grandmas and that's no laughing matter.
