The manager, gentleman with a nice British accent was unapologetic after the staff told me another quote time which was 20 minutes after the order quote time the online app provided. Be prepared to wait for your alcohol and food if you go here. We were greeted immediately by our waitress and I got my soda fairly quickly. Placed our orders for an appetizer and a pizza. The waitress acknowledged that my husbands beer would be right up. There were two gentlemen sitting at the bar that apparently were regulars because all the wait staff would constantly come back to chat with them. 10 minutes passed and I had to go to the bar and ask for my husbands beer. 20 minutes after arrival we got our appetizer. 5 minutes after that we got our pizza. All in All we were there close to an hour and I learned all about our waitress's financial plan for buying a house and price range along with other personal information that I should not have heard. This all thanks to the regular patron that was more important than the other customers. The kitchen would yell numbers every time an order was up. And all the wait staff seem to be running around ragged just to get to no where. There were maybe 5 families in the whole restaurant. This food is so yummy! I had a custom made pizza and a shared order of garlic knots. The knots were so yummy (ask for extra garlic!). Everything is made to order so you never have to worry about your food coming out cold or luke warm. As soon as you walk in, there's a very family oriented vibe to the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and able to answer any questions that we had. I'm super indecisive and she gave as many suggestions and plenty of time to make a decision. Our family only does pizza every so often because as delicious as it is, its not so good for the waistline... so when we do order pizza it's an event to look forward to! Unfortunately the pizza here wasn't worth the calories. Sauce was a little too sweet for our liking, and even though the crust and garlic knots were nice and chewy, they were a little too sweet as well. Pizza is pretty thin and floppy too, but some folks like their pies that way, so not necessarily a bad thing. First time diners at Capone's. Ordered a 12 inch New York style pizza with onion, black olive, sausage, pepperoni. And 10 chicken wings, garlic Parmesan. First time I've been in the south and the chicken wings were not fried, but we're double baked and found them to be very good. The pizza was fabulous, Great flavor and the dough was just perfect. The atmosphere is new, but you can see improvements that are coming in the future. Our waitress Caitlyn was terrific. When asked questions about the menu she was very informative and courteous. So disappointed. We started going to Capone's when it was a dive bar downtown. Good pizza, great service, and cheap good beer. It has been sliding since moving to the new location. We walked in to get our normal pizza order. It took 40 minutes at 6:00 with no more than a half dozen tables in the place full. Got Capone's last night, and it was fabulous! We got a medium cheese and a large speciality veggie, and (because of a Harris Teeter receipt ) a free order of garlic knots. In the past I've tried some of Capone's pizzas before, and I was not sold. But this time, the cheese pizza was AMAZING. We got the cheese thin crust, and it was very good; not a lot of sauce but very flavorful and the perfect amount of cheese. The veggie was really good too, but nothing amazing. The knots were a little overcooked but with the marinara dipping sauce, they were better than most fast food pizza places. Our waitress was horrible! We had to ask for plates when our pizza came out. Had to ask for a salad plate and the waitress questioned why we need the salad plate. It was supposed to come with my husband's meal. It took longer for the grilled chicken salad to come than our pizzas. When the chicken salad came out it had a hair in it. When the waitress saw that it had not been touched she asked if a box was needed. I told her there was a hair in it. That apparently ticked her off. She did not apologize but she asked why I hadn't told her. My polite answer was I am now. The correct answer is you never came back to our table but the waitress did do a drive by "everything okay" question but never stopped to wait for a response. read more

Snarky restaurant manager. Cancelled my order. Looked like the food could be good but I'll never know. According to the other reviews it looked like customer service is a challenge here, but I was hungry after a long trip and just wanted some pizza. I ordered food to go, in person. I asked if I could pay after I saw my food and made sure it came out correctly. I've been burned several times about wrong orders, incomplete orders, etc which changes the amount I tip and if it looks disgusting I don't want to pay for it and it's almost impossible to get a refund/return if you've already paid. So I like to pay after. He was trying to sell me on paying for it now and guaranteed it would be correct and look good. I have him my card even though i didn't want to yet and commented it's weird that if I ordered on the phone there would be no problem paying when i got there and saw the food. Or, for example, when you dine in you don't pay when you order you pay after your meal. I said "so if i got outside and call in I can pay you when the food comes out" he said that was a "different deal" and "yea do that at least so I'll have you cell phone number" I told him to cancel the order and he took my card out of the machine. After a busy day out and about in Boone we returned to hotel I didn't want to go out anymore talk to the front desk and they highly recommended Capone's pizza which delivers. Ring them up ordered a bunch of food and less than 30 minutes later our food was delivered right to the door of our hotel room. One of items we ordered was a pizza and I'm time you have a large is really a good size large and wow it was good probably one of the better pizzas I have had here in North Carolina. Everybody in my family enjoyed the pizza and I would definitely order another one from them the next time We are in town. Don't waste your time and money. It is NOT the same Capone's Pizza that was on King Street downtown. The new "post Covid-19" version is crappy food and terrible service. They call it "self-service" which means you 'fend for yourself" getting your own drinks in styrofoam cups with plastic utensils wrapped in plastic packaging (not good for the environment and SO much more). The pathetic customer service is lethargic at best - you get your own menu - then once you have "looked it over" - you tell the totally bored cashier what you want and hope you get your food in an hour.
