I also absolutely LOVED the dish I got, THE CAPPRICIO. The pesto cream sauce was to die for. In addition to the chicken it comes with I added shrimp. Couldn't even eat it all. It came with soup and I got lentil. Also delicious. My son had the Stromboli made with 16 inch dough. He was able to add ingredients to what's on the menu. He enjoyed it. My daughter had shrimp Alfredo. The pasta dishes come with bread. The one thing that no one liked was the calamari. We're a calamari family but this calamari was not seasoned and had no flavor. Love the food. They use premium ingredients to make an authentic dish. We primarily order takeout here but do visit the restaurant two or three times a year. It's very cozy but not ideal for my hearing impaired husband as the kitchen is open and limited seating is very close to other tables. It is difficult for us to have a conversation here which is why we opt for takeout. read more

Found Capriccio on Yelp while in the area and decided to try them out. I placed the order ahead of time via phone, instead of waiting to place it at the restaurant. It was a very easy process and I was given a number for my pick up order. I ordered the Philly steak with a side of fries and it was pretty good. However, the only thing I did not like is that there were tomatoes and lettuce on the sandwich. A typical Philly steak sandwich does not have lettuce and tomatoes on it - just steak, cheese and perhaps onions, peppers and mushrooms. So that was the only ding on my sandwich review. Outside of that, it was a pretty good sandwich. The next time that I visit, I will definitely try some of the Italian food that is on the menu, such as the pizza, pasta and other dishes. Capriccio is located on Rocky River Road in Harrisburg, in the same shopping center as the Harris Teeter and the Gate gas station. We recently moved to the area from CT and we were in search of pizza like back home. Boy did we find it! Ordered a large half cheese half pepperoni - it was delicious. Great sauce. Amazing crust. Ordinarily, our pizza is pretty good from Capriccio. But we decided to try a Margherita pizza and that's where we went wrong. My husband went to pick it up. We couldn't believe our eyes when we got home and saw what it looked like. It didn't look anything like any Margherita pizza we've ever had. It looked a mess! Nevertheless, we tried it because sometimes food looks much worse than it tastes. Well...not in this case. It tasted worse!! In fact, there wasn't much taste at all. It was bland and sloppy and a total waste of money. After that experience we haven't been back yet. We need that pizza to become a faint memory before we return. This is probably the worst Italian spot I've had the Bruchetta was the worst I've ever had! It was soo soo soggy , i order my food to go during my lunch break i got a pineapple and ham pizza the bruschetta and pasta, the pasta was flavorful but not al dente it was too soft for my liking. On the menu it says all pasta entrees comes with a soup or salad and they didn't give me either. To me the pizza was good bc it was crispy but my boyfriend said it was not the pineapple where not sweet and the cheese was a little different not the traditional cheese that goes on pizza. But what had me so sad was the Bruchetta! Please when people order to go please don't put the tomatoes or the bread i thought that would be common sense. I definitely won't be back the food is overly priced for the portions and the quality and there is way better places in the surrounding area. Oh i forgot to mention the packaging awful the sauces for the pasta spilled all in my car bc it was not closed correctly and they didn't add any plastic wear or napkins. Okay this place has great Italian food BUT no one washes their hands. The owner (usually the cashier) will take your money or swipe your card then turn around and start rolling bread. The tall slim guy will answer the phone, wipe his hands on his apron, then turn around and put pepperoni on a pizza. No gloves. No handwashing. My favorite restaurant. Pizzas are outstanding as are the pasta dishes. My biggest problem with this restaurant is trying to decide what to eat. I have about 6 favorites. Be prepared for leftovers. You can get about 3 meals from the large calzone. Don't order the garlic bread or butter knots unless you love garlic. (Which I do) Both are delicious and garlicky. I also like that you get to choose your pasta. I highly recommend you try Capriccio. read more
