apparently this is light on sauce..wth?? it's like they added more. we could've put it on the mussels

Sigh.. This is still one of my fave pizza places in the area. Believe me their are many places for pizza, but they all are terrible. My standard is a large pie with fresh mushrooms and an order of mussels, which are EPIC!! They also do a decent eggplant parm. The pizza is crispy and tasty and sauce savory, which I love. No sweet sauce for me!! Their Sicilian is also decent and noteworthy. It's a take out place, although they did have a few chairs for the bench table against the window, but since the pandemic... They also have mini and regular size cannolis, which are yum. So if you're near rt. 130 near Aldis n Ross, it's nestled in their near Benjamin Moore. It's worth many check-ins.

Sabrina's Pizza is a decent pizza. It is a little doughy but not too doughy with a decent taste. I liked how it arrived hot like right out of the oven hot even when delivered. It's not my favorite style of pizza but I would eat it again. It's for sure a pizza to enjoy on a Sunday with beer watching football.

Sabrina's is located in a strip mall along the busy Route 130. Upon entering, you see several eye-catching wall decorations that bring about feelings of being in a pizzeria in Italy. There are beautiful tile paintings and photographs. The seating area is puny, with a bar-style table along the window and along the wall with around 8-10 seats total. There was plenty of variety available at the countertop and I decided to order the plain, pasta, and grandma slices. The pizza was decent. The grandma had excellent sauce and a layer of crisp along the base. It was slightly gummy between the base and the sauce but tasted good overall. The plain is greasy and cheesy. There's lots of cheese stretch and the crust has a good toasty taste to it with a bit of fluff. The vodka sauce on the penne vodka slice was very cheesy and didn't really have any other flavors. The slice was greasy and filling. Overall, the pizza was average, but the real flaw of this pizzeria is the lack of available seating. I witnessed a large group of teenagers come in and half of them ended up leaving simply because they couldn't sit and eat their meal anywhere. The kitchen takes up 75% of the space and this isn't that small of a restaurant. With all those people it was crowded and hard to move around. If the restaurant were set up differently, this wouldn't have been a problem and I'm sure they could have served more customers.

The pizza was decent and the employees were very friendly. The prices were very good and the service was prompt. I have no complaints, except that the seating area was not properly air conditioned.

Ordered a a Margarita pizza and it was good! This is the second time we ordered it and was delicious. Was ready to be picked up in 15 minutes. You can order online or call in. They have specials throughout the week so even sure to check the website before you order. I also saw they do Grubhub too.

Large Plain Cheese Pizza.

A solid pie at a discounted price on Sunday. The Sunday night special at Sabrina's is a large cheese pizza for $8.25. You can't beat a pizza for that sort of price! It's a great deal to accompany our occasional Sunday football viewing. Their pizza is good. It's not my favorite pizza place in the area, but for that price ($4-5 off regular price) it's a winner in my book. The service was friendly and we didn't have to wait very long for our pizza. We would definitely order from here again (especially on a Sunday.)

$16.00 for this "antipasto" and my total order was $70 and they couldn't add meat and cheese? Garbage.

This place isn't just good... it's on a completely different level. With a massive menu that truly has something for everyone, Mannino's delivers incredible food, next-level service, and unbeatable value. Honestly? It's a solid 11 on a 1- 10 scale! Let's talk service. It was nothing short of spectacular. Co-owners Vito and Jose run the dining room with such precision, warmth, and genuine care that you feel like a VIP the entire time. Their attention to detail is unreal, and watching them keep everything running flawlessly in a bustling, fast-paced environment is seriously impressive. And the food... my goodness, the food! These are classic Italian recipes passed down through generations, but what truly makes Mannino's shine is the quality of their ingredients. You can taste it in every bite -- rich flavors, perfect textures, and this unmistakable touch of culinary magic. It's the kind of food that makes you stop mid-bite and say, "This is something special." If you haven't been to Mannino's yet, go. Don't walk -- run. After another $30 wasted I confirmed that I was right and should just stop trying and stick with my beloved neapolitan style pizza. Scottos pizza in East Windsor, NJ got me excited because when I walked in, I saw the pizza guy pulling my precooked dough and sauce out of the oven then putting the toppings on and, as per the comments on my previous post, this is how it's supposed to be. The counter girl was sweet and said they needed 7 more minutes so I paid, thanked her, and waited. Upon the pull out I got even more excited ( #thatswhatshesaid ), drove to my hotel, did my mandatory pizza box opening IG boomerang, then dove in. At first bite my heart sank, flashing back to my last pizza experience that I posted, and felt the gooey, wet, uncooked dough. I pushed through and got towards the crust which was crunchy and cooked through. The toppings were warmed, after being cooked for the 7 minutes I was told to wait but not juicy and perfectly cooked. All in all, this was a major fail and just like your final abusive and toxic partner, I'm giving up on this type of pizza. My colleague warned me about this place but I stupidly ignored. The service staff was very sweet but that's the only pleasant thing I dealt with at this spot. Just like my last post, I took extensive photos of different angles of the rawness to hope and stop the opinions of telling me I'm wrong. Sorry, not sorry, don't waste your money.

In a space occupied by exactly four diners (including us), we were promptly asked if we had a reservation. I almost apologized for not booking six weeks in advance for this exclusive, high-demand experience. Then came our server, who seemed to believe we were all running a construction site together. Every sentence was punctuated with "boss," to the point where I started wondering if I was about to get assigned a shift schedule. I half-expected him to hand me a clipboard and ask if I approved the latest inventory order. Despite the unexpected managerial responsibilities, the food was solid, and once the initial awkwardness faded, the service landed somewhere between "acceptable" and "I guess I'll allow it." Overall, it was a good meal with a side of unintentional comedy. Would I return? Absolutely. But next time, I'll wear a hard hat and call ahead--just in case.

As was the service because it was always made on time and ambiance. Since its a small place its more of a takeout than actual restaurant when it comes to getting food. The pizza always had good flavor and we could tell was made fresh which would explain why the crust and everything was good. There were never any major complaints outside of a few times where maybe the pizza could've been better. There were few times where the cheese fell of because either there was too much liquid or too much sauce on the pizza. And because of that it would make the pizza very oily or soggy which tended to ruin the texture of the crust. In the end otherwise, it was still a good pizza place and it's worth going to whenever you want good pizza in East Windsor.

The place is called Sal's Pizza and it's located on Rte 130 in East Winsor, NJ. People were very kind in the reviews---good sign. They had just turned on the lights moments before I stepped in and were beginning to stock the pizza case. I didn't feel like waiting so I ordered two plain slices and hoped for the best. I'll start with the good: The sauce is tangy and wonderful. It is seasoned OK too but it could use just a touch more to give it that "punch" that I seek. The cheese is premium mozzarella and has that stringy mozzarella cheese pull that makes for an A-1 pie. The crust (outer and underneath) is super flavorful. I would probably classify this as thin crust. The bad: There is ZERO CRISPINESS to the outer crust or the undercarriage. None. And as you would imagine, the slices wilt like wet noodles. When you try to pick it up, everything slides off. Even if you fold it, you get the same limp results. I was super diligent trying to eat and keep the toppings off my shirt. That didnt work either. T-shirt ruined. I wanted to dine-in but after I ordered, I had to run to my car to grab my wallet. When I returned within 30 seconds, (yes, really 30 seconds) they had already boxed my slices without ever asking me if it was to stay or go. I just assumed they didn't want me dining in for whatever reason so I paid and left. If they ever solve the crust issue, they'd have something special here. But until then, they are just.... Both arrived at my table covered in oil, dripping with oil. I had to let it drip off, and then blotted the rest with napkins, but it was still totally oily. The crust was so thin that each slice fell apart into a bunch of torn pieces that I had to eat with a fork. I ordered a side salad of lettuce, tomatoes, cukes, onions, the usual. Nothing fancy - no olives or giardiniera or anything like that. I wanted oil and vinegar for dressing, and it was brought to me mixed together. I asked for separate vinegar and oil so I could dress the salad myself, and the server was gracious and brought it to me. After dressing the salad, I couldn't even eat it. What is it with pizzerias that use their greenest, heaviest, most strong tasting and bitter olive oil in a fresh salad? It overpowers the salad, and tastes awful. We don't do that in Italy. Salads need a light tasting, light golden olive oil so you can taste the components of the fresh salad and not be massacred by the heavy bitter taste of oil. I am astounded when Italian pizzerias and restaurants do this. The good news? The sauce on the pizza was fabulous. The bad news? $16.00 for this mess. And no refill offered on the soda.
