    Shrimp Linguini Gamberi e Limone

Wow! Dinner here was quite the experience, from food, ambiance, wait staff. All were extremely kind and welcoming. The food was phenomenal. I keep dreaming about the shrimp pasta dish I had. The space itself is small and intimate, but I loved that about it. It made me feel as though I was back in Italy. I definitely plan to come back as this is a newly discovered favorite!

Our favorite place for pasta in Sonoma area! We always make a stop here, for the great food and stellar service. The waiters are always charming and funny and make our night better. More of a lively, family cozy vibe, and it feels authentic and not pretentious. Always packed on weekends so make a reservation! Our go-to orders are the 4 cheese pasta and bucatini amatriciana. The salami and burrata are nice apps to start with, and the wine is affordable and good as well. Afterward we always stop by the cute ice cream place next door for dessert. Highly recommend if you're visiting the area!

Lococo's decor is so cute! I absolutely love the vibe, lighting, and overall mood of the place. It feels warm and aesthetic, perfect for a night out. The service, however, was a little slow. They weren't busy when we first arrived, but it did get busier later, which I understand can slow things down. What was frustrating was that when I asked other staff members for our check because our server was unavailable, no one else could bring it. It seems like only your assigned server can assist you. Even when we wanted to add to our order, or asked for certain things they had to track down our server instead of helping directly. It didn't feel like there was much teamwork, so if your server is tied up at another table, you just have to wait and that's what happened to us. The food was okay. My friend enjoyed her meal, but I think my risotto may have been overcooked. The rice was quite mushy and lacked the slight bite in the center that risotto usually has. It felt more like rice cooked in a rice cooker with seafood broth and toppings added on top, rather than a traditionally prepared risotto. Overall, it was an okay experience. Maybe I just came on an off night. I'm not sure.

Four of us went here Tuesday night and the food and service were great despite the place being packed; unusual for the night after MLK day. The one knock on the place is when it is busy it is beyond loud; difficult to hold a conversation but, again, the staff was on point. Caesar Salads are good and huge though they charge extra for anchovies which is odd. Sharing is likely a good idea, in fact all the portions were so large they were each more than enough for two. The very good Calamari appetizer was more than enough for four. As they provide bread with nice Tapenade the appetizer was not needed. The Pasta ( De Mare special, (Pasta with seafood) the PAPPARDELLE CON CINGHIALE Pappardelle with housemade, wild boar sausage, and Cremini mushrooms) and Osso Buco were all excellent. Needless to say there was no room for anything else and all had another meal to take home for the next day. So if you don't like loud or don't like leftovers you had better pick a slow night and plan on sharing dishes. Excellent food and value. Food was far better than the pictures show.

Where do I even start... lococo's is one of the Italian restaurants in Sonoma County. Everything on the menu is delicious the pastas are amazing and the staff is really friendly. They threat you like family my favorite part is when they all get together and come to your table to sing you happy birthday. The place feels like you're in a rustic restaurant out in Italy the low lighting is perfect for a date night.

Nice place in Railroad Square. We have never eaten here before, a, took my son here for his birthday. He is a cook and a foodie and this is where he chose. Nice family-style atmosphere and vibe. We had a 5 pm reservation as we did not want the crowds. We asked to be seated upstairs and initially had it to ourselves. It filled up later during our service. My son ordered the special, which was a Lasagna Bolognese. Wow, everyone at the table thought it was great! They should have it on the menu all the time. It was all the flavors you want in a homemade lasagna, but better. It was nicely layered with ricotta, meat sauce, cheeses and a rich overall taste. I ordered the eggplant parmesan, and it had great flavor. The eggplant was just firm enough, and the sauce made the dish. My wife had the spicy fettuccini Gambari dish with prawns. The taste was just spicy enough to enjoy, but it did not distract from the other flavors. It tasted good, but you can't dress up fettuccine very well. My son's girlfriend ordered the Petite Filet off the specials menu, and it was done to perfection, as long as you like it medium-rare. I mean anything more than medium is just jerky. It had great flavor and was very tender. We were all too full to order dessert, and I was able to take home my rigatoni pasta that came with the eggplant and added the leftover spicy fettuccini sauce, which tasted great the next day. I will certainly come back here again. The waitstaff was very attentive and friendly.

Mamma mia! That's'a mighty fine'a plate'a food. I'd been traveling for hours, stopped in Santa Rosa, and my hotel check-in clerk lit up with a HUGE SMILE when I asked "where can I get a decent pasta meal?" "It's practically across the street," she said. No lie. I walked it. I was a tad bit ahead of the dinner rush, solo diner, no reservation, but was seated when I whispered to the host, "I'll be quick. I just want to eat some great pasta, and then take a little walk, and then sleep for hours." I ordered the ravioli which came with a magnificent marinara sauce that complemented the puffs, didn't overwhelm them. I'm tellin' ya, it was sublime and the perfect portion size. The bread and oil/vinegar service was lovely and my requested butter was delivered without batting an eye. I declined a salad to start, hydrated with plenty of water, and left after 25 minutes one happy traveler. Can't wait to hit up Santa Rosa again in my travels. KEEPER! Pics when I find them in my old phone - the one that crashed the next day. Still retrieving stuff. But, I digress. This sweet little restaurant is EVERYTHING a great neighborhood Italian place should be: welcoming, nicely appointed, GREAT food, and perfect portions. Doesn't hurt that there's an ice cream spot right next door. Old town/downtown Santa Rosa has it goin' on!

I was looking for a restaurant in the railroad square district and stumbled on this place. I was wondering why this place was really popular, and it also was also rather highly rated on Yelp. I would recommend making a reservation for this place as it is really popular. Unfortunately, I did not make a reservation and decided to wait for over an hour for a table (but I didn't mind since I was in no rush). The place was so busy that even some people who had reservations needed to wait for an available table to open up. After being seated, we ordered the: 1. Linguine Alle Vongole: I saw a lot of people ordering this dish, and I'm glad I followed suit. The dish was nicely balanced with a good salty flavor with a sufficient amount of clams. You can get as much Parmesan on top of it as you want. Also, I was sitting towards the front of the restaurant and a couple of people asked me what I ordered as they walked past my table. 2. Pappardelle Cinghiale: The noodles had a nice texture and the meat was a nice salty complement to this dish. 3. Tiramisu: The tiramisu was not overly sweet and was a great way to end the meal especially after having salty entrees. The staff was really sweet and provided me with great recommendations when I had questions. Also, they were rather attentive to make sure we were well taken care of. The place has a rustic feel with tiles and wood accents that give it a warm feel. I will note that this place does get very loud, so there were times I was raising my voice to speak to other people. Overall, I thought this was one of the better Italian food places I've tried and would return for the great food.

We decided to have dinner before leaving Santa Rosa on a Sunday night at 5pm. We did not have a reservation (party of 2), but their reviews and menu lured us to the restaurant. We ordered the ravioli and spaghetti with meat balls and both dishes were wonderful. The complimentary (french and foccacia bread with their aioli was delicious! Service was great. Ambiance was wonderful. They can accommodate large parties, you should definitely make reservations.

Amazing atmosphere! Can get a little busy but the wait times are not to bad. The ravioli and calamari were my favorite!

Being Italian, I'm very critical to Italian food. I was very pleasantly surprised by all essential points: - Generous portions including fresh bread service - Timely and friendly wait staff - Great quality and fresh Italian taste (al dente) Minor knocks - Spaghetti carbonara was delicious but a little on the dry side - Chicken parmaseana tomato sauce was overly salty - Lighting was dark, almost like a pirates den instead of romantic - Ambient sound was loud, difficult to talk across the table Despite being very bustling among several birthday parties, they gave our 6-year-old a wonderful ceremony even socializing with his superhero presence. This may be our go to place for trips to Santa Rosa!

Excellent food and service! This restaurant is very cute and offers a lot of great authentic Italian dishes! The menu isn't too big, it's the perfect size so the options are not overwhelming. Our server was very attentive and patient, the food came out pretty quickly, and even on a Tuesday at 6:30pm they were fully booked. Would come here again for sure, if we're in the area!

From the moment I walked in, good vibes all around. Julie is serving me at the bar and she is on point. I started with a glass of Vermentino and the Insalata Della Casa. How many house salads come with artichokes and pickled onions these days? It was light and refreshing. Moving on to the pasta course. I ordered the Scarpariello and it was surprisingly light for a pasta dish, and loaded with flavor. Yellow and red baby tomato sauce with fresh basil, Calabria chili and pecorino. I wanted a glass of red to accompany the dish and was contemplating a Primitivo. When I mentioned this to Julie, she offered an off list Primitivo without the jammy punch. It was nice, she was on to what I was trying to achieve. I ended up with a Sangiovese and my dignity. All around a great experience and I didn't feel like I was mugged after paying the bill. I really appreciate a good glass of wine for $12-15. I am exhausted by paying $20 for mediocre wine in wine country. Thank you Julie and company for appreciating your cliente. Service is consistently quick and friendly--but definitely make reservations, because this place is always busy. We started with their delicious house bread served alongside an olive tapenade--such a great way to kick things off. We also ordered a bottle of the Tom Mackey Cellars 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon, which paired nicely with everything that followed. For appetizers, we shared the grilled polenta and calamari, both of which were excellent. For my main, I ordered the house special seafood risotto, which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. My husband had the Spaghetti Pescatore--loaded with wild prawns, clams, calamari, fresh scallops, and fish of the day in a light tomato, garlic, and olive oil sauce--and it was just as good as it sounds. Around the table, we also had the lamb ravioli, Spaghetti Levi Leipheimer, and the Gnocchi Riviera, and every dish was a hit. Food is served tapas style and honestly, all the dishes sound appetizing. On this visit, we tried a few dishes. I wish I came with a more empty stomach to try more things. We ordered their crispy maitake mushrooms, steamed local black cod, and grilled house-made lamb sausage. Everything was delicious! The crispy maitake mushrooms came with a fish sauce which gave a nice brightening note to eat with fried food. Lemon was also fried with them to help cut any grease, so overall this dish did not feel oily or heavy. The steamed local black cod's ginger scallion oil surprisingly paired very well with the black truffle pesto. It had an earthy flavor profile that was brightened by the ginger. The cod was perfectly cooked and the mushrooms soaked up all of that saucy goodness. I loved this dish! The grilled house-made lamb sausage was Thai inspired and you could definitely taste the spices in the sausage. I actually would've liked more of the tamarind BBQ sauce and basil salad on this dish to help counter the lamb's spiciness a bit, but I enjoyed the dish. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and came out quickly. The restaurant is housed in what looks like a historic house, so it was a very cozy environment. We were very satisfied and it was such a lovely touch the manager did come out before the end of our meal to ensure we were satisfied and apologized for the discrepancy in the meal. The fact it was busy every single table full and the bar also being full and the manager still coming to ensure our satisfaction was what true hospitality is all about!! 100000% recommendations for this place and will be coming back!
