I wasn't even going to bother writing this review, but I'm really getting tired of mediocre service from places that we choose, hoping that they're going to stay in business. And we keep hoping that if we throw money at them to order their product, they will actually deliver on what they're supposed to. But fast food here in Carson City is absolutely luck of the draw! C'mon kids...it's like you can only be bothered to read part of an online order. We ALWAYS order our sandwiches cut in half. SUPER simple request...and Every. Single. Time. they can't be bothered. Enjoyed a lunch today at Carson City Jimmy Johns. Looking for somewhere to stop and my Grandson said " a sandwich sounds good"! We decided on the lunch box since it comes with everything! Sandwich, drink, chips, pickle and cookie! We were hungry! I love the chewy bread they use and the turkey and veggies were fresh and plentiful except for the avocado spread which was only on one part of my sandwich but I enjoyed it still. I enjoy Jimmy John's most of the time. This was the first time at this particular JJ's and I wasn't super impressed with the sandwich itself. It seemed that they didn't really fill out the roast beef sandwich with anything at all. Barely meat and cheese and condiments. Avocado spread was barely visible between the two slices of cheese. Husband and I ordered the same thing. We've came a few times and they always are pretty good . The only real reason we go is because we just came back from sports training or just somewhere to drive thru quick for a healthier style meal. I pickup lunch at this location maybe 3-4 times a week. I never have any pickup issues. I put it through the app and it takes me about 7 minutes to get to this location. My order is always ready every time. I recently tried the new red velvet cookie they have, that was really good! I get the Spicy East Coast Italian 99% of the time, It's my favorite sandwich. Store is unreliable and does not follow the hours published for business. I called other store and some snotty kid answered and said the north store is closed today due to staffing issues. I asked if they at the south store could deliver to us and this snotty ass kid said they couldn't deliver to us because our address is in the range of the north store. I asked couldn't you deliver to our address since the other store is closed? Nope and I could tell they were very happy to not have to deal with our order. I'd say solid 3 stars for the food, as the sandwiches are definitely good, but I wouldn't go as far to saying they're great. I usually order the Italian Night Club and add roast beef, but this time I wanted to try the Gargantuan and so far I'm quite pleased. Minimal charge for delivery and I just had a sandwich and a Coke delivered in less than 15 minutes. That's worth an extra star. Sprouts are free here, which is pretty awesome. I like the French bread. It's not normal French Bread. It tastes like Dutch Crunch without the crunch but has that same waxy feel. I personally really like it. Is this a place I will always remember, insanely crave and drive hours to get? No, this is not one of those places that deserves 5 glaring stars. This is my go to lunch spot because I love their bread and it's near my office. Their online app is super easy to use and has a tracker so you know when the delivery is on its way. During the pandemic, we've had a few hits and a few misses, but in the past month, their delivery has been on point. Susan delivers to our office and even when we don't combine orders to make it easier on her (like never,) she is quick and always friendly. I live in Sparks, however I work in Carson City and often need to order in for lunch. My quick go-to is always Jimmy Johns, but I am very disappointed in the customer service and management at this location. Several times I have ordered online and have had issues with my delivery. Issues as follows: - Waiting up to 30 minutes or more for my order to arrive (they are literally down the street from my office) which happened today 1/13/20 and then they forget to cut the sandwich in half (this happens all the time, even though I specifically check the box asking for it to be cut). Can't advertise for a quick delivery when it doesn't exist right? - Another time having someone from the location call me after I placed my order to inform me one of their driver's didn't show up to work and therefore it would be up to an hour before my lunch arrived. I agreed that I would wait. The order is delivered, but missing chips and a drink. I call and speak with the store manager who wants to just credit me back for the chips and drink as a refund to my card. I demanded he comp the meal as that's what should have been offered in the first place. Store manager wasn't happy about it, but comped it anyways. - They've missed napkins, straws, drinks, chips, cutting the sandwich in half... what more can I say? I'm disappointed to have to write this review, but it's important for others and hopefully corporate to review this location in order to make it better. If they didn't happen to be the only sandwich shop nearby that delivers, I would have chosen another place. I have no complaints however for the Reno/Sparks locations. I am giving them a 2 on the ratings due too the sandwich's are always good, but the service is not very customer friendly , we had a big order with 4 sandwiches, 4 chips , 2 drinks and a pickle. We got to the window to pay and the girl (Arianna) asked us to go over the order again to make sure they got us our order correct and everything in it , the only thing she didn't mention was the order for the pickle, she said oh yeah I thought I had forgotten something , so we paid with our card after getting our food $43.46 got the receipt and food and drove home. After getting home we realized that we did not get our card back and we called them to find out if they had it and they did and we also looked at our food to see if we received everything and funny thing we did not receive our pickle after all that. Also we asked for peppers on the side we did not get those. We also asked for peppers to not be on another sandwich and the peppers were on that sandwich. We told them that after we ate our sandwiches we would come in and get the card back. We were a little bit agitated that we did not get our card back I guess I should've checked when I got the receipt I did not think about it because usually the card is with the receipt, anyway we went down there to get the card back and for our Inconvenience of having to come back and get the card, we wondered if they would give us a free sandwich or a refund. they said no, and we wanted to just get a reimbursement on the pickle because we wanted the complete order. We talked to the manager And they never issue refunds. There was a product we ordered and paid for but did not get. We should have been given a refund or some compensation. I have owned my own business since 1992 and if someone is not happy with my service or product I'll bend over backwards to make them happy, I felt since we had not gotten our card back and our order was incomplete and wrong and had to come back to there store we could have had some kind of a gesture acknowledging that they had messed up and try to make things right by not just giving us a voucher for our time, also we would of liked an apology from anyone, but did not receive that, we will not go back to them cause they don't care how they treat the public. Next time we're visiting family that lives in Carson we will go to Firehouse subs and advise friends to do the same. I ordered two sandwiches online for delivery. The Italian Club was delivered in about 20-25 mins but the Club Lulu was not delivered at the same time. I called and the shop realized the mistake. They stated they would have the other sandwich to us in "5 minutes". After waiting for over an hour from the initial order the sandwich still did not arrive. I called the location back and they were unaware of the situation. They researched our order, finally determining they would make another sandwich and have it to us in "5 minutes". The order was placed at 12:24pm and I didn't get it until 1:35pm. By this time my lunch was over and it was back to work without lunch. They were also unwilling to try and make the situation right. They need to have someone follow through with order from beginning to end. They weren't terribly concerned about the mess up and to top that, The were at least 3 people working and they had already taken the guys order in front of me. There was no other customers in the shop, how could they screw up and give my sandwich to the other guy. They all acted like they were so busy, maybe with call in orders but what a waste. Hanna the manager on duty was one of the rudest people I've ever dealt with for no reason. I ordered a sandwich online for 11:15 the store opens at 11. I called the store at 11 to ask for no ice and my osandwich cut . She then told me the driver was already out of the store and I could not get my order how I wanted. She still made her driver leave the store and bring the food the exact same way. Jimmy Johns is one of our favorites however this location did not live up to the service we've come to know and love. I thought it was super cool there was a drive thru however after sitting at the window for 5 minutes saying hello we thought maybe the system was broken or they were closed. We drove to the front and they defiantly were open but it seemed as if the staff had a better conversation going on behind the counter rather than taking an order. Not friendly at all and seemed to be more bothered that someone was coming in to order a sandwich ...oh my... why would someone ever go into a sandwich shop durning business hours to order a sandwich ‍... i was hoping the sandwich would have at least made up for the poor treating and service... Would have been one star but here is the positive, good service, nice staff and certainly clean. All the ingredients are there for a great sandwich and this was my second go at it here. Ordered the "Vito" and it's a pretty traditional Italian style sandwich with Salami, cheese, and all the fresh fixins on a fresh roll. I get past that with a large drink for 10 cents more than a medium (that's why I asked) and proceed to get my drink and wait for what should be a very tasty sandwich. It arrives promptly and I notice it's rather light on things in it but that's OK so long as it tastes great. The problem I now discover and I'm stunned (honest) is that it had no flavor at all. This sandwich was like biting into a piece of Styrofoam made to look like a sandwich. This is now the 2nd completely underwhelming sandwich from this place and now my last. This place has crap service! Ordered five sandwiches online and my wife picked them up. They had the sandwiches just laying on a table, not bagged. They threw them in a bag and said the order was complete. When we got home, it was missing five bags of chips. We opened each sandwich and discovered every sandwich was made wrong. One had tomato when the order specifically 'no tomato' because my daughter is allergic to tomato. I went to the store and got there right before the listed closure time. The door was locked and the workers inside ignored me when I knocked. After several knocks, someone finally came to the door. When I explained the situation and said all the sandwiches were wrong, she replies, "I doubt that!" I showed her the order in the app and described how each was wrong. She replied "we are closed, bring the sandwiches back tomorrow and talk to the GM to get it fixed." I asked, " you can't take 5 minutes to make this right tonight?" Reply, "Everything is put away." (I see another worker actively putting plastic over the trays.) I say, the stuff is in plastic, you aren't able to unwrap it to make these correctly? Reply, "We're out of bread." I say that is pretty convenient that you ran out of bread right as you closed. Wait, isn't that a rack full of bread right there? (Visible through the window). Reply, "oh, uh, we're closed." I point out how the order didn't include the chips. Reply, "it's your responsibility to make sure the order is complete before you leave."
