Port of Subs was fantastic to work with! Their subs were so good last time that I had to order catering from them again. Everything fresh, tasty, and exactly as requested. Labeled all the items clearly on the tops of the trays, left out the mayo as requested so people can add it later or have a dairy-free option, and provided serving gloves without me even needing to ask. The staff had great attitudes, which made the experience even better. They also customized a vegetarian sandwich just as asked. We stopped here on a vacation because one of the little ones was unable to wait any longer and it was close. They also had painted on the window that they give a military discount. The sandwiches were mediocre but the wait was longer than we expected. We went through a drive through and considered leaving because it took so long. The military discount isn't a percentage, but rather, a flat 50¢. I don't know how many return veterans and active duty they will get with that amount, but it was a nice thought. The lady started to argue with me that each order was different, then said normal orders are 3 slices. I'm like yes and double means 6. She got angry and put my other 2 slices on. Redoing my review.... I went in and spoke to the owner about what the bread not being to my expectations... the owner was extremely friendly and understood my concern and listened and was very kind and fixed the order to make sure the order was 100% quality... I come here often and the store was clean and friendly environment... as I said I come here often with my girlfriend and we enjoy it alot. One thing we all must remember and understand including me is they are doing it short staffed like everyone else. People including me forget this as we are used to before covid. Staff are kids from the high school next door. Loud annoying militant rap music playing on multiple lunch hour visits. I ordered a meatball sub with a chip and drink combo. The kid overcharged me separate pricing on drink and chips $1.20 over the sign advertised combo add on price. I politely pointed this out on the receipt and also made mention of the senior discount sign on the storefront and how I mentioned it to the staffer at checkout. The response was it's not offered on sandwiches- their core competency. They refunded the combo overcharge. The sub was under heated in the microwave and the bun was pretty thin. I'm done here, they deserve their 2.3 rating. read more

When I first opened one of the sandwiches I panicked, for I thought the store made a mistake and added baby mountain oysters in my sandwich. Pre!!! One word says it all!! This lady is a 1 woman wonder!!! My sister just had a baby and we offered to go pick up dinner for the new parents as they are now home. We wrote down everything everyone wanted and headed over to port of subs @ jacks valley road. When we pulled up, the sign said closed and that the store shuts an hour earlier, however ...since I already had a list of what everyone wanted...I walked up to see if the door was locked anyways. Pre invited us in with a smile even tho it was after hours and happily served us even tho she was the only worker and was already behind in her tasks for the day. I have always been disappointed by this location. With that said, I think ownership and management has changed because things were significantly different today! My daughter has many allergies, anaphylactic to tomatoes cucumbers and pickles. Before doing anything they sanitized the surface put down paper brought out a new knife and change gloves. They did not act as if they were put out, they were more than happy to accommodate. Sandwiches were made beautifully, quickly, and they tasted wonderful! Next lady seemed to get upset with me for taking more the 3 seconds to answer her whadda wan on it question. She then proceeded to yell into the back (3 times) for another lady to take our money. The employees there are nice, really miss the tattooed lady that worked there :) this is my go to spot for my lunches for my family. Disgusting!! I went in and the two Boys working there and making food weren't wearing masks! They didn't put them on when I got closer either, and when I asked why they weren't wearing masks they said they didn't have to. I informed them that it is the law and REQUIRED for all indoor spaces right now, and especially when making food it is dangerous to customers for them not to wear them. They said they knew that. I asked what the name of the owner was, planning to complain to that person, and the boy said he was the owner!! Then when I doubted him he said well he was the son of the owner. I ordered a large 1 double meat double cheese xtra mayo/mustard pickles olives and normal peppers lettuce and shakers. Definitely didn't get that and didn't discover my crappy sandwich until Bridgeport. If you come to this location DO NOT do drive thru go in and watch them make your sandwich. Wasted 17$. read more

I don't know what's going on, but the last two times I've eaten at Port o subs there has been so little meat and cheese on my sandwich I could barely find it. I don't know if it's a new policy, but the sandwich needs to be advertised as a lettuce and tomato sub. I never get a good sandwich from here. My issue is that there is never enough meat on the sandwich. The co-workers were out on a lunch run and this is where they chose to go so I thought I would try them yet again after maybe a year since my last visit. The single slice of cheese was thicker than the meat I got on this sandwich. The bread was alright this time but half the time it's stale and hard. Went in 10/27/18. Ordered a medium pastrami, one bite, ok. 2nd bite, all fat. Went to counter, spoke to whom I believe was the owner, explained I can't eat it, cause it's pure fat, he rudely asked what I wanted in exchange and I told him.
