I placed my order and all of sudden they got really busy. The lady working at the register was really nice and had a positive disposition. I ordered the Philly chicken primo and my husband ordered the Italian primo. They took about 15-20 minutes to come out. FYI that is NOT a long time for a quality sandwich. That is how long I would expect to wait honestly. They do have a few tables and chairs if you want to sit and eat. The hoagies were both really good. The bread was fresh and soft. I added cherry peppers on my Philly and they were chef's kiss. I will definitely be a regular at PrimoHoagies!! I should've taken pictures but the food smelled so good I ate it before I had a chance lol

Two frozen meatballs with two frozen slices of cheese not even melted on top -- they were stacked beside the meatballs like two pieces of drywall. Absolute masterpiece. I politely asked if they actually melted the cheese or warmed the bread and the employee looked at me like I had just asked her for cocaine. Apparently "hot sub" is an outrageous request now. Whatever this place claims to be -- NEW YORK, ITALIAN, whatever -- it's definitely not that. I've had better subs from a vending machine at a bus station. I ended up leaving the sub on the table because clearly they need the $14 more than I do. The place already looks like it's under new ownership every other week, and after eating there, it's easy to see why. Terrible.

The restaurant had plenty of seating and a comfortable, casual atmosphere. We started with mozzarella sticks to share, figuring it was a safe appetizer. Unfortunately, the portion surprised us a bit -- there were only five sticks for $7.50. Many places usually serve six to eight for about the same price, so it felt a little light. Next came the salads. She ordered the house salad with French dressing and I had the Caesar salad. The portions were normal for a side salad -- not overly generous, but honestly the perfect size to accompany a meal. I enjoyed my Caesar. For our main courses, she ordered the lasagna. The portion looked generous, but according to her it tasted average -- good, but not particularly memorable. I ordered the white clam pasta because I was really in the mood for clams or mussels. The flavor was actually very good, but the portion was smaller than I expected. I've had larger portions of similar dishes at comparable prices. One thing that was a bit disappointing was the Italian bread that came with the meal -- it was warm, but only two small pieces were served. That said, I noticed throughout our visit that many customers were coming in for pizza, and since it is primarily a pizzeria, that may be where they really shine. Overall, I wouldn't cross Enrico's off our list. Next time we'll likely try the pizza or explore other menu items to see what else they offer.

It's right on the way to my yoga studio, so it's perfect for a quick in-and-out lunch, but honestly, it's also the kind of place where you end up lingering longer than planned. My usual order is the ABLT on rye with Boar's Head applewood smoked bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Simple, fresh, and consistently delicious every single time. I almost always pair it with the Spinach Bacon salad loaded with spinach, cranberries, goat cheese, tomatoes, toasted pecans, and brown sugar peppered bacon. The portions are huge and definitely shareable. What makes Rhino special is that it's more than just a deli. It's part neighborhood market, part coffee shop, part beer and wine stop, and part community hangout. They've got local products, grab-and-go snacks, fresh sandwiches, beer on tap, wine, outdoor patio seating, and sometimes even live music. It reminds me of the small independent spots I used to love in the Bay Area around Burlingame, San Mateo, and Palo Alto. Relaxed, local, welcoming, and full of personality. The staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere feels genuinely Charlotte. Not overly polished. Not trying too hard. Just good food, good people, and a place that locals clearly love. And if you are visiting North Carolina, you absolutely have to try Cheerwine at least once. It's basically a Carolina rite of passage. Cherry soda lovers will probably be obsessed. Me personally? Not exactly my flavor profile, but people here drink it like water, so clearly they are onto something. Rhino Market is one of those places that makes a city feel like home. Life is too short to not eat well, Charlotte. Get out there.

You order at one window, grab an extra items, pay, then they'll call your name/number. Super easy. I ordered the Rhino Club described on the menu as: Boar's Head Branded Deluxe Ham, Lower Sodium Turkey, Applewood Smoked Bacon, provolone, bibb lettuce, tomato, dijon vin on choice of bread. The ordering and payment process was easy. I was solo so I took a seat at the bar area to eat. Sandwich looked good when I unwrapped it, large slices of toasted bread with fresh lettuce and tomato. The strangest thing was, on the left side of the sandwich were several slices of deli turkey rolled up. On the right side of the sandwich were several slices of deli ham rolled up. I hadn't seen a sandwich made like that before. It felt like half of a turkey sandwich and half of a ham sandwich as opposed to a ham and turkey sandwich. Was it bad? Definitely not. I waffled between a 3 and a 4 star for this one but felt generous because, overall, I liked the vibe of the place.
