The food and service was absolutely fantastic! Saw on Facebook and while visiting Las Vegas in July 2026 I insisted on trying. My friends were giving me a strange look as we walked in wondering why we were walking into a butcher shop. It's small with only a few tables. The menu offered so many choices but I went with the meatball & sooooo glad I did, I literally never had a meatball sandwich that can come close to this! The flavor, soft yet crisp garlic roll with gooey baked mozzarella on top -- pure awesomeness that was out of this world. I can't wait for another trip to Vegas just so I can have another. Had the brisket sandwich with the white Mac and cheese and side of onion rings. The sandwich was impressive. A lot of chopped brisket good smoky flavor on big hearty bun. Onion rings breading wasn't too thick and nice and crispy and good size rings. Mac and cheese was nice and cheesy and really good cheese flavor and the macaroni was cooked perfectly. It was Busy, with "to go orders" but they got us taken care of. Ordered Rueben and out of Swiss cheese! Sandwich and fries ( perfectly cooked and seasoned) were good. Ordered Cheesesteak and meat was more chunks and gristly! Mac and Cheese was Al dente pasta, Dense and weird, cheese sauce was tasty. Small portion for the up charge . I thought this place was really good, and I was satisfied with my sandwich. Good attention to detail, the meat is properly caramelized for optimal flavor and texture. The bbq sauce is not too overwhelming although it is completely mixed in with the meat. The bun is a perfect vessel, not too dense and not so light were it gets soggy and falls apart under the weight of all the sauce. It's nicely toasted with butter, ala in n out style and slightly sweet. Overall a pretty decent sized sandwich, I was full by the last bites. The unique shaped fries were a great combination of crispness, real potato mouth feel and seasoned just right with salt -- no cajun just salt. If I could change one thing, I'd prefer to have the brisket sliced and have bbq over the top. I like to taste the meat separately from the sauce in some bites, especially being a shop that specializes in meats, I want to appreciate it's quality and flavor more, and have that full bite, as opposed to shredded. To use a pasta analogy, I'm more of a sauce over pasta guy and I can control the amounts of sauce, but I can also appreciate fully mixed in as well. Service was very friendly and place had a healthy stream of customers the entire time. I looked around the butcher shop as well, prices are relatively high (I usually only buy what's on sale lol), but would be worthwhile if it's really good quality -- something I'll have to research in the future. For now they get 4 stars, I'm looking to try the steak burger and / or pastrami next time to see if they can wow me enough for a 5. read more

It's a butcher shop with fresh meats and deli that sells meat and hot/cold sandwiches at the location. It's two separate locations on the outside and both combined on the inside. Bravo to the brilliant idea to sell sandwiches from the meat you sell. My photo of the club sandwich that has bacon, turkey and ham was only half a portion. It was stuffed with meat and veggies! I had been wanting to try this place but kept missing it since they close at 7pm. Our friend recommended it. Finally on my husband's day off we were able to give it a try. It looked small from the store front but once inside it's a decent size. Clean and lively but not too crowded. There was no one to greet us as it's actually a meat market, until we approached the counter. There were seats and tables along the side of the wall and stools against the counter. To the left were the seats, to the right side was the market. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich with sweet potato tots and a side of their stuffed beignet. The beignet was more like mini donuts. I had beignet in Louisiana and these were not like the beignet I had at Cafe DuMonde. It was the main reason why I wanted to try this place so badly and a bit disappointed tbh. The brisket sandwich was on the dry side, without any dressing. No cheese, no pickle or cole slaw or sauce of any kind. The husband chose pastrami sandwich with side of sindwinder fries. Now his was delicious!! It has cheese sauce, pickles and cole slaw. I had to steal a few bites and had a hard time giving him his pastrami sandwich back lol We shared a bottle of orange sparkling water from the fridge. I had to ask for a glass of ice of which the staff brought to our table along with our food. I recommend they add a sauce of sort and melted cheese or cole slaw to the brisket sandwich and a self help dispenser for water. Otherwise we had a great time eating great food with good service. It had a nice ambiance, but the service was subpar. There didn't seem to be a system in place. People that order after us were getting served before us. By the time we got our food, it was clear that the sandwiches had been sitting for a while and the sweet potato tots were scorching hot. The sandwiches were just okay. The bread fell apart really fast and the rye bread was basically stale. The chicken sandwich was nothing to write home about. The best part of the sandwich was the pickles and they didn't even make that in house. The fries were good but needed more seasoning. Wouldn't come here again. read more

Hello Yelpers! Okay... slightly embarrassing -- my wife and I have eaten at Chip Off the Block Deli four days in a row -- but it's that good. First two visits: BB Smash Burgers with sweet potato tots -- incredible beef flavor thanks to their in-house butcher shop trimmings. Third visit: Buffalo wings, sidewinder fries, and Cookie Butter beignets -- all delicious. Fourth visit: grabbed the roast beef sub "The Cleaver" for our early morning flight to Oregon (02/12). This used to be my favorite burger place, but today was disappointing. I ordered a steak hamburger (medium, no pickles) and waited about 25 minutes. I was really excited, but when I got home and took a bite, I had to spit it out-it was cold in the middle and seemed undercooked. Normally their food is really good, so I'm a bit surprised. Found this place after my family enjoyed some time at the park. This a meat market and deli, with them selling everything from steaks, to marinated pork, along with decent amount of fresh seafood. We stopped in for the deli and I ordered the smashburger, my wife order the club (shared with my daughter), and my son loved his tri-tip sandwich. My smashburger was amazing and I really loved the way they include the toppings. Instead of a raw and tomato slices on top, it's all chopped up and added to a slaw that goes on top of the burger. My mom wasn't a fan, but I loved it. My son's tri-tip sando was huge and loaded with tender, thin sliced tri-tip. He devoured most it and then I helped him eat the rest later on, LOL. If I lived in Vegas this would be a regular spot for lunch. Side note: This is also the place where I discovered Dr. Brown's Black Cherry zero sugar soda AND... my gawd! The food and service were both excellent!! The smashburger was exactly what I was craving and it totally hit the spot! The sweet potato tots were perfectly cooked, crunchy and soft! The service was friendly and welcoming, clean space to eat. Just a few small tables inside. Seriously a smart move for Butcher Block to add a deli inside their spot! My only gripe is their current menu situation! It's a small paper menu inside of a sheet protector taped to the counter by the register. When we were there there was someone ordering ahead of us, someone behind us and we had never been, so when we got to the register I was trying to smooth out the menu so we could see it. I asked if there was another menu...the answer was no. I think this is temporary because there were tv screens behind the counter; they were blacked out. So maybe not working?!? Hopefully! They had a good sized menu, but the pressure and stress to not take up too much time at the register was real!! A couple more sheet protected menus people could stand to the side to see would be a great addition to the temporary outage! read more

I cannot believe I've lived here for a Decade and have not been here!!! Everything was so damn delicious!! Place was nice and clean. There was a deli on the right side and the food deli on the left. When I got home they had accidently gave it in a lettuce wrap, which I didnt mind because I had the fries. This is one of those places that has been on my must try list, and I finally did! It was my Birthday and I was wanting to have a chill day with friends and family, and with that means a BBQ with quality meats and eats. I have a checklist for sandwich shops prior to visiting because I am a bit of a sandwich snob. 1) do they offer boars head? (I'm allergic to nitrates) 2) what is the bread to meat ratio? (My carb/protein intake matters) 3) price of sandwich This place crossed all of them off with flying colors. Boars head meat, and lots of it, for a great price. They also have the most DELISH dijonaise. Lastly, the staff was just so chill and had really good energy. They took time to get my order right and packed it up without getting soggy for my dinner back at my hotel. Would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great sandwich. Oh my goodness! The sandwiches here are so delicious and fresh. We are totally hooked and came here twice within a week. I ordered the wishbone turkey sandwich both times. My husband had the pastrami sandwich for the first visit and the Wagyu beef melt for the second visit. Everything was phenomenal and tasty. The breads were soft and fresh. Was looking for a place to go to for a late lunch away from The Strip after the UNLV football game. I chose Chip Off the Block Deli because I've always wanted to take my boyfriend here, but I kept blowing it off. And it's close to his house, too! This is your average neighborhood deli on Rainbow between Windmill and Warm Springs, kinda like all the delis you see inside of grocery stores, but they have their own seating area. They also sell a variety of those 'snack' lattes in bottles in their drink fridge, like Twix lattes and Twinkie lattes. Though I don't drink this kind of stuff out of bottles, I still found this interesting. There were so many yummy sandwiches to choose from that I couldn't decide what to order right away. Eventually I decided on The Hammy with everything on it (lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, pickles). My boyfriend ordered some turkey sandwich, but I don't quite remember which one he ordered. I think it might've been The Wishbone. Both of these sandwiches came with these unique-looking swirly fries. Because this is an actual deli, it took a while for the food to come out. I didn't realize how big our sandwiches were going to be after we opened them right when we got home. We both ended up having the first half of our sandwiches as our late lunch and the second half as our lunch leftovers the next day. This was a really good 'hammy' sandwich and I recommend this to anyone who hasn't been here before and are unsure what to order from here. I'm happy that I finally got to discover this deli.
