It's my first visit to any Capriotti's. I like the variety in the menu and the quality options of the meats. The price is great. I got the classic club and love that includes bacon at no up charge. Definitely was a great spot to have lunch on our way out from Vegas. Sandwiches are great. I have my usual's, but need to try more. There are several Capriotti's locations. This Shop is small with some tables both inside & outside. Service was good. The gal at the front taking my order was helpful & knowledgeable. Whatever was cook'n smelled great as they were making it. Food was good as we inhaled it while watching "Friends" playing on TV. (This was a couple of days before Chandler's passing :/ RIP). I am a Capriotti's fan usually, I have had a bunch of sandwiches from them at numerous locations for many years. Recently we ordered a bunch of sandwiches for a work lunch. My favorite is the Capistrano, but this last sandwich was disappointing, I don't know maybe they were busy or running low on meat but my sandwich was soaked in the coleslaw sauce and it was as basically a coleslaw sandwich, there was 3-4 times more coleslaw than meat. The food was good. The hot turkey dinner sandwich was the best thing. We got some regular cold sandwiches and asked for oil vinegar and other condiments but didn't receive any. So the sandwiches were very dry. This place doesn't see to get very busy. Because only had 2 employees work. The older lady there runs the cash register and runs the hot food. The younger guy working is on cold stuff and prep. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we got there, and it toook waaaay to long for us get 2 medium sandwiches, 1 large, and loaded fries. When a 2nd set of ppl came in and didn't even get to order because it took way too long for the older lady to come back to the register. According to the younger guy he is not allowed to take orders or touch the register. He notified the older lady who I assume is his boss several times that there was another set of customers waiting. They eventually left cause it took way too long. We still hadn't gotten our order by the time they left and still waited like 10 more minutes. When the lady finally came back to the register she started to give us the wrong order and was confused on how it was the wrong order when she was the order. Apparently an online order came in and she grabbed the ticket for it with out realizing we were almost about to be super upset but then she pulled out our stuff from the stack of stuff she brought back. By this time another customer came in and told the older lady employee, that it smelled like gas in the establishment and the older lady just was like yea it's our stove. And brushed it off. My impossible sub was next to impossible in the taste level. I was simply amazed by the freshness and taste of the sub. Very disappointing. I enjoy Capriotti's too. It was late night. I ordered a vegan chickensteak sandwich. Something on the grill started to burn because the restaurant fogged up with smoke. I don't think it was mine. Lol. The sandwich doesn't come with any sauce whatsoever. Everything, including the veggies was extremely dry. This has nothing to do with it being vegan & everything to so with the way it's cooked. SIDE NOTE; I have eaten other things on the menu, & I feel the same about those items too. Regarding service, it was below the bare minimum. I even tipped 20%. It was 2am (they close at 3am) & it is most certainly possible they were feeling the end of their shift. You can get an 18" Cheesesteak at this chain restaurant. Yes, in this case, size does matter. Lol, I think it's a pretty decent chain when you want to get your cheesesteak fix. They have classic beef and chicken, turkey, and veggie options. Pretty much choose your base and turn it into a cheesesteak! The 18" is great for sharing with one or two others.
