THE BLACK AND WHITE: I always have a hard time pronouncing this sandwich shop name, but it doesn't matter because they're that good! This is probably my third shop I've been to in the states, first in santa monica and the second in nyc. I got the La Dante this time and it was good, however I thought it was a bit too salty (likely with the italian pork meat). Next time I'll go to my go-to which is the favolosa THE FINAL BAMBOO: A sandwich will set you back around $22, however if you're craving a tuscan italian sandwich, you can't go wrong here. read more

A Vegas outpost (in a food court!) of what could probably be called the most famous Italian sandwich shop. To start, the bread is exactly as it should be- dimply, Golden brown with just the right amount of chew, plus giving the right ratio of bread to filling. I got a Caprese- simple and straightforward. The ingredients were excellent (mozzarella and basil) to good (tomato wasn't the best, a little disappointing for the summer). The sandwich was yelling for some salt . Plus I stole some arugula from my husband's sandwich and that made the balance perfect. Hubs had L'Inferno- he loved the bread, was not a fan of the eggplant, but the Nduja and porchetta were excellent- he said the sandwich had spice, but wasn't really spicy. I've been wanting to try All Antico Vinaio in LA since they've opened up, but haven't had a chance to make it, so it was so convenient for me to give this one a try since it was at the hotel I was staying at. Despite the hype this place has had, it wasn't my favorite place for focaccia. The batch that we got tasted a bit burnt and has a bit too crunchy. I did really like the truffle sauce I think that was in it, but some of the sandwiches that we got were a bit salty. The line was a bit long, but it was a weekend, so I'd imagine during the week it's a lot faster. It's located at the new food hall in the casino area where Howlin' Rays is located. I have heard so many good things about this place that even though I wasn't hungry I just had to see what the hype was about. This visit I was told try the La Paradiso which has Mortadella, Stracciatella, Pistachio Cream, Pistachio. This had to be one of the best tasting sandwiches I've ever had. The bread was warm, toasted and fresh. The Mortadella had this nice saltiness to it that it went so well with the stracciatella and pistachio cream. The pistachio cream just works so well it has a nutty complimenting taste that pairs so well. You have to try this sandwich and all the flavors just work. Located inside via via food hall at venetian this italian sandwich shop has some amazing concoctions and what seems to be a huge following. Line was a tad long but moved reasonably quickly. Opted for the La Broadway but wanting some protein in there I added prosciutto - 100% home run. The flavors, the textures, the temperature, all of it was spot on. The portion was also huge, in most cases it'd be enough for 2 meals. Had I not been on an early morning flight to Vegas that morning and not eaten breakfast I definitely would've saved half on the first one, even with all that I had to wait a few minutes and ponder my decision making process before digging in to the rest. On the second stop i went for the same sandwich, equally delicious but this time I wasn't up for the whole thing. No big deal, into the fridge went one half and it was a great lunch the next day. When we got there we had maybe 6 ppl in front of us and it took us 20 min to even get our order in. I got the l'inferno (Porchetta, Nduja, Spicy Eggplant, Spicy Zucchini, Arugula). I didn't want nduja and they let me switch it out for sundried tomatoes for free. The bread is nicely toasted and crispy. The filings are not heated but I didn't mind. I came here with high expectations after watching a food blogger on social media claiming that the La Paradiso is the best sandwich on the menu. I saw the ingredient pistachio cream and wasn't sure how that would taste like on a sandwich. It's not that great. It tasted like a bologna sandwich with some kind of slight sweet cream on it. It was an interesting taste to me. I wish I got a different sandwich from the menu after seeing other people eat other kinds of sandwiches. Was super excited to try this place as I've been hearing about it all over social media and it was at the hotel we were staying at. La Dante- 4/5 pretty standard sandwich but I can tell their ingredients are high quality! The meats were delicious in it. La paradiso- 4/5 loved the mortadella they use in this sandwich. It was sooo tasty! The strachiatella goes perfectly with it as well but I wish there was more of it and less of the pistachio cream. The amount of pistachio cream in my sandwich was a bit overwhelming but still tasty overall. This sandwich is definitely a heavier sandwich and calorie dense. Overall for the price I probably wouldn't return frequently but it is tasty if you are craving an Italian sandwich vibe! The deli counter displays all the meats and condiments and they put the sandwiches together at time of purchase. We've been to the Florence location and have been dying to get a piece of Italy! When we found out the sandwich shop is also at The Venetian, we had to stop by for a quick bite. The location initially was a bit hard for us to find since there aren't a lot of signs for Via Via Foodhall. However, it's easy to find once you know what you're looking for. The food hall is at the casino level, and it's just by the escalator if you're traveling down by Tao restaurant when you walk in from the strip. This is my second attempt at AAV. This time in the Venetian. First time was at Uncommons two years ago. Both experiences are pretty consistent. The line here was short -- only 3 or 4 in front of me. But I waited in it for 15 minutes. I wasn't in a rush but if you are, this might not be it. While I waited I noticed folks weren't smiling, but I had heard about great service so I was confused. Still, after 10 minutes in line, one man did say someone would be with me in a few minutes. I appreciate acknowledgment. When it was my turn, I ordered La Toscana. The guy made it and I paid. The female cashier (middle aged) was truly very friendly and smiling. Again, appreciated her. The sandwich: I'm tying to give this place a shot again. I wasn't impressed the first time and I'm still not sure what all the hype is about. I know...unpopular opinion. In both cases, I eventually removed the bread from the second half and added the sandwich fillings to the first half. It's not a thick sandwich but it is a lot of doughy bread. The ingredients are indeed fresh af and they taste good. But the bread is hard and cold and just difficult to chew through. I could gnaw on the bread for a long time before it actually breaks down. It looks like a focaccia but chews like sourdough, if that makes any sense. The Salame, pecorino and honey all worked well together but maybe it needs one of their creams to help soften the bread. I don't know. My experience just isn't what others rave about but I'm trying to find something to help justify what all yall are getting out of it. Maybe next time I'll try the Paradiso. This is my favorite sandwich place in the whole city, although my first time coming to this location. I usually go to the one at The Uncommons. La Paradiso is my #1 pick but I was sharing with my sister this time so we got a La District, also delectable. I would typically order a gluten-free bread, and theirs is better than any other sandwich shop I've tried, but this location does not offer it. Either way, the bread here is exactly how I like it, crispy on the outside and a little chewy, very European. Paired with a nice Italian soda and a bag of chips, the servings are big enough to share if you dont have a huge appetite. Their sandwich fillings are unlike anything you'll try in this city, very crave-worthy. Ordered the Paradiso since I'm a solid pistachio lover. Was also craving their porchetta so I swapped out mortadella for it. Wonderful decision! Gent who made my sandwich gave me quite the dollop of stracciatella and pistachio cream. Freaking amazing combo with pork, I highly suggest it. I swear for the price it's worth it. Luckily, there was not much of a wait and we quickly ordered two of their focaccia sandwiches. The La Favuolosa has salami, pecorino cream, artichoke cream, and spicy eggplant. It was hard to discern pecorino or artichoke in the spread, but it was definitely savory and delicious. This was a rich sandwich and we looked for something acidic or fresh to brighten it up. As such, the contrast of the La Summer was nice since it has a classic combination of prosciutto, tomato, mozzarella, and basil. Even though it was the dead of winter, the grocery store tomatoes ended up being a welcome pop of flavor. The sandwiches are massive. Three of us split 2 and ended up with half leftover. I had stopped in to this all antico vinaio location in the food hall of the Venetian. I just seen all of our social media with some of the other locations that they had in town. I was visiting from LA and funny enough. We do have one in LA but I live too far from there so I decided to drive four hours to come to this one instead. We came here after a concert in the area and the lines were not too bad. You can tell the workers are crafting up putting the sandwiches together, so I did take a while for us to get our sandwiches but in the end they're extremely filling and it tasted really good.
