Onion Rings and Double Smashburger
Tracy L.

Played a little at the Rio today and decided to give this place a try. I got my order to go. I used the QR Code posted by the cash register. I was able to use my 2 $10 food credits for my lunch. I got the Double Smashburger and Onion Rings. The one cook looked a little overwhelmed even though it wasn't busy and the other employees was counting down the register or something to that effect. Anyway I watched the cook put onion rings in my container , then take some out , then he added the burger , then added more onion rings. He checked the order receipt several times and bagged it. Then he moved the bag like 3 times before coming to the counter to call my name. He really seemed to be confused or having a bad day. I got home and everything was still warm since I live close by. The Onion Rings were large and plentiful , but nothing to brag about , pretty plain. They need some kind of seasoning in the batter. The Double Smashburger was kind of small , but filling enough. The flavor again was just okay , nothing to write home about. I was hoping it would be better , but honestly the smashburger at Sonic is better and cheaper and I rarely go to Sonic. I'm glad I got this for free. I don't think I will be back and the same for Tony Luke's , terrible cheesesteak.

Pathetic single burger....

Here for lunch today. Giving it a two because the service was good. The cashier was helpful and pleasant to talk to. But come on guys... this has to be the most pathetic burger I've had in a long time. I just don't understand it. How could this be so wrong? This burger cost me darn near $19 with "Frings" (onion rings and curly fries) the Frings were good. I would not be back again...

Attaboy Burger? More like absolute bummer. I've been working through the Canteen Food Hall at the Rio Hotel & Casino, and it was Attaboy's turn at bat today. There was a big pool (billiards) event at the Rio today, so even if I wanted to stand in line for once, using the kiosks for the food hall was a better option. They accept Rio dining credit and points for payment, which is as easy as a swipe, a PIN entry, and a few more taps of the screen. It felt like either a good or bad sign that their menu is so simple. I went for the Double smash burger ($12.00) with a side of The 50/50 ($7.00), aka both onions rings and curly fries. Despite being a double patty, the burger was small. Even worse, it was bland, despite the included "fancy sauce" and my attempts to add any number of additional sauces on the side. The cherry on top was that the beef patties had few if any crispy edges, which is what you look for in a smash burger. The beer battered onion rings were pretty bland too, and the curly fries were plain, on the dry side, and overwhelmingly served as matchsticks rather than the lengthy spirals which you hope to get. I was considering giving them some benefit of the doubt at the ~2.5 star fence, but then they didn't provide me with a cup for water when I asked. Even if they were out of water cups, they still had plenty of alternative cups to offer. I have been able to get a water cup for free from at least one of the other food hall businesses, but it would have felt really awkward to do so while holding a burger. With only two more places remaining for me to try, Attaboy Burger is the prohibitive favorite for worst food option at Canteen Food Hall. Considering both quality and price, I would have preferred getting most if not all fast food burgers over this spot. I will almost certainly not return here for any reason.

I really hate to give a bad rating but, there will always be a bad rating and for good reason too. So, I came here around 9:35 pm. 25 minutes before they close and there was nobody behind me or in front of me when ordering. The queue was about 3 people who ordered in advance about maybe 15-20 minutes prior to me when I overheard them saying they were waiting that long and had not received the order and they did not receive their order shockingly. Eventually they received their order but wow, expect the worst. The price of the single burger which I ordered was about $12 by itself. This means that it is $12 with tax without a drink/soda or fries/onion rings etc. I expected a juicy delicious burger for that pricetag as I was waiting for my food. The place closed at 10pm and I finally received my order at that exact time. Therefore, the wait time was 25 minutes for me. I did also order onion rings which I saw with my eyes were frozen and fried in oil that was boiling for hours on end. The taste? Horrific! Moreover, The burger was the biggest disappointing thing about this place unfortunately which is supposed to be the best. It was tiny. You ever ordered those White Castle burgers at the grocery store and you heat them up in the microwave and consume it? Despite the small White Castle burgers being microwaveable, they not only tasted horrible after cooking them, they do not fill you up. Now in comparison with the White Castle small burgers, the attaboy burger from this place was worse. I couldn't believe it. A pack of six of these White Castle burgers you could purchase cost less than one of these attaboy burgers. The attaboy burger is consumable and was okay with the ranch and bbq dressing it came with but, absolutely horrible value. Service was awful, the lady at the front taking my order said "hurry up, we're closing soon!" You call that proper customer service? The guy cooking the burgers was so slow too, I mean the guy was literally walking back and forth instead of running to create these burgers which is why it took so long to receive my order but also the guests in front of me were literally annoyed by it. The onion rings were soggy and oily, there was no crunch but a gush of oil was released after biting into the breaded onion. This frozen disaster of an onion ring was also bad, I could only finish eating two of them although I received about 10 in total. The rest went into the garbage can and I felt sick after consuming it as well. The total of the order came to be $19 with tax and it was just an absolute atrocity. I was starving because I've been walking all over Vegas all day and I was looking forward to a great meal. I was astonished because I haven't had this bad experience before in many years. This gotta be bottom 3 burgers I ever had in my life. The surround environment had plenty of other good options.

We stopped by and got a double burger and 50/50 onion rings and fries after seeing the Penn and Teller show at the Rio Hotel and Casino. The burger was good bit not anything spectacular or as large as we thought it might be. The curry fries were ok . The onion rings definitely were the best and they gave us plenty of those. Overall, our visit was good and food came out a little slower than expected.

What a gem! I was working remotely from my hotel room at Rio and needed a quick bite to eat. Luckily, Rio recently remodeled and opened up a food hall with a variety of eats! I opted for an american classic, cheesburger and fries! I also want to mention that their pricing here is unbeatable! $8 for a burger itself, but $16 for a full combo of the burger, 50/50 fries/onion rings and a drink! This deal was too good to pass up. Now onto the food. The cheesburger was a perfect smash burger and I loved the crispy edges. One thing I do wish they had was lettuce and tomato. I love the fresh balance it gives to the rich burger. The fries and onion rings were perfectly fried and the team here is very generous with the amount of ranch and bbq sauce they give. Side note that I don't think has anything to do with the restaurant, the soda machines all around the food hall seem to not be working properly. The one closest to attaboy was not sweet enough and the others had a weird syrup flavor. Overall, i'll definitely be back for more especially with the competitive pricing they have to offer. I have my eyes on the $4 ice cream sandwich for a sweet treat!

Texas toast w/ bacon and a 50/50

Very cute storefront, very limited menu. Food is decent and does the job, but nothing special. Presentation is great, but I would argue that they don't use "Texas toast" and it's just regular bread. The portion for sides is nice. Bbq sauce was very sweet. You could get a better burger for less elsewhere, but if you're here, it wouldn't hurt to grab one here.

Attaboy Single Burger and Double Burger with Seasoned Curly Fries.

We visited the newly renovated Rio Hotel & Casino Canteen Food Hall and tried Attaboy Burger. The young man provided great customer service. Our order arrived within 10 minutes. Attaboy Burgers were grilled fresh and we requested for one medium well and one well done. We ordered a single burger and a double burger (double patty) both with American cheese, caramelized onions, fancy sauce and pickles along with seasoned curly fries. Attaboy Burgers were good, tender and the patty was thick. It seems like they use lean meat for their patties due to the texture and thickness of the beef. Seasoned curly fries were ok. I could not figure out the seasoning used but could taste the salt. It would have been better with less salt. Fries were crispy. We definitely will stop by Attaboy Burger and try other items on their menu when in Las Vegas.

$8 Single Smash Burger

Great burger for an excellent price! Seriously though, $8 for a smash burger in Las Vegas?! Count me in! Attaboy Burger is located in the new Canteen Food Hall at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas, and I was visiting as part of a video to try a little something from most of the spots located here. Attaboy Burger and several of the other places left me legitimately impressed and surprised at just how much I enjoyed it! The food hall space is a bit small, but honestly kind of cozy and comfortable. Attaboy is very noticeable with its colorfully yellow decor, and it was one of the first spots I was drawn to. I also found myself impressed by the prices here, with the single smash burger starting at only $8 - that's a steal in Las Vegas!! The burger was ready very quickly after ordering and service was very friendly. Upon trying, I found it well-cooked, tender, cheesy, and very flavorful. It's a little small, but I feel like it's enough to fill you up for a quick bite or for lunch. I enjoyed that it wasn't overpowering or heavy and felt the sauce, meat, and cheese inside all perfectly complimented each other. All that being said, if you're craving a cheap and flavorful smash burger, definitely stop by Attaboy Burger! This is a great new addition and wonderfully tasty spot in the Rio Las Vegas!

To be honest I have never heard of this burger joint before so when Ibm was in the Rio casino food hall area I decided it try it. I was actually not expecting much bc it's a small fast food type looking place in the food court. The burger took a minute and it was actually worth it. It was one of the better burgers I have had in Vegas in awhile actually. Crispy bacon not fatty rubber bacon like most burger spots give you. I also got curly fries which were good and it came w/a good ranch type sauce as well. I would definitely go back here for a burger again. Impressed for a little food court spot.

Warning: Stay Tuned Burger is located INSIDE the Hard Hat lounge. This is a bar, so unfortunately minors can not go inside. There is a bunch of outdoor seating which was perfect for our group of 15+ kids :) The Vibe: Walking in, I was smacked in the face with an overwhelming feeling of nostalgia! The dim lighting, the neon signs, the tube TVs. It was like I stepped back in time. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a cigarette dispenser near the bathrooms (I didn't venture to look for it, although now I wish I had!) I'm a big fan of dive bars, and the Hard Hat Lounge was giving me life. The Process: After taking in the vibe, it was time to order. I walked up to the counter and reviewed the super simple/straight forward menu. I don't know if there is a "secret" menu, but we were there for one thing, and one thing only: the burger. The staff were super friendly, and attentive. Got our order in, and stepped over to the bar to grab some drinks; a beer for me, and a mexican coca cola for my son that was waiting outside. The Food: In about 10mins, our number was called and I brought out the goods; 2 Doubles and an order of tots. If you don't like smash burgers, this isn't the place for you. Simple and straight forward burger. The meat was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The sauce was not over powering. I loved the diced onions; whole onion slices can be overpowering. The pickles!! I'm a sucker for house made pickles, and these DID NOT disappoint. I could eat a whole plate of those. The tots... you can easily mess up tots, but these were crisp and well seasoned. We didn't try them with the sauce and all the fixins, but they were simple and delicious on there own. All in all we had a enjoyed our visit, and will be back the next time we're in town :)

They were extremely bland, had almost no flavor, and it seemed like they were missing the breading altogether. They tasted like they had just been fried until they were dry. Mine didn't have any lettuce (I'm not sure if it's supposed to), came with one very thick slice of tomato, and what looked like the end piece of an onion. Overall, it was pretty average. The Hot Mess Fries completely saved the meal. They were crispy, loaded with cheese, and the sauce was delicious. The sliced peppers added a nice kick and brought everything together. I'd definitely order those again.

I also asked if the burgers were ground in house and she shook her head no. We started out by sharing the macaroni and cheese bites. They were fried nicely and had nice cheesy filling.
