This was our first visit here, as it had been totally packed since the grand opening. There were only a few take-out customers so we dined alone. The restaurant was very clean and spread out nicely. The staff were very courteous and helpful. I ordered the Wagyu Beef Sandwich with Cap Fries. Perhaps Naked fries no goodies on top. The fries were served hot and crispy with a delicious seasoning. The Wagyu Beef Sandwich was a good choice. It came with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Also drizzled with an Italian dressing. The beef was high quality and had generous portions. The down side is they charge extra for ranch dressing with your fries. It was definitely worth it. I will try their famous pulled turkey on my next visit. $$ read more

We were one of the first few customers served on opening day. There were a lot of people in line and I was surprised at how efficient they handled business. Staff was very approachable and friendly. They did make it clear that they are learning the computer system (like rewards) etc, but they were honestly so quick with no hiccups. I ordered the classic medium sub with no bacon. Delicious!! Husband had a tuna sandwich. I had the opportunity to try his as well and it was just as good. The bread was soft and the ingredients were fresh. This location also has naked/loaded fries. I placed an order and the estimate time was 7:10 pm. My husband and I arrived and we had to wait an additional 45-55 minutes just to get our food. When we got home they gave me the wrong sandwich. They gave me a tuna sandwich instead of turkey sandwich. We called and we got a refund. Thank goodness. read more

I'm so glad there's finally a Capriotti's in Sparks! Everytime I crave their pastrami I get so discouraged because I'd have to drive in to town! Honestly I didn't even realize it was opening day. I've just been casually driving by every so often to see its progress and today happened to be the day! I wish there was more marketing for the establishment. (At first I had no idea the joint was coming to sparks until I was looking at maps and saw an icon for it). Staff members were super friendly and extremely accommodating. My partner and I ordered the classic cheesesteak, capastrami, and the chopped salad. Their menu offers a create your own meal deal for $9.99; that has the option to choose a mini sub and side. At first I was discouraged because the other locations in town show that any sub is applicable for the deal-- but the menu at this location only displays four options. After asking, I learned that there is a $2 up-charge to choose any sub. I don't mind paying extra, but for customers who don't ask, won't know that substitutions are possible for the deal. Overall, there hasn't been a food spot join the sparks area that I've been excited about in a while-- so I'm especially happy about this one! Also, special shout out to their bathroom signs. Capriotti's was established in 1976 and voted Greatest Sandwich Shop in 2009, really ? First off, let me begin by saying that I rarely eat out at chains or fast food restaurants simply because I am known for patronizing locally owned independent businesses. And my experience dining at Capriotti's cemented this for me. I'm not saying this was a horrible experience, but it wasn't anywhere I would recommend or return to either. This location opened rather recently as of this review located next to a US Bank branch with limited parking off of Los Altos Pkwy. My friend and I arrived around 11:30 and the restaurant wasn't super busy. As we were looking at the menu we were told that anything grilled that the expected wait time would be 20 minutes which was fine as I prefer a warm sandwich rather than a cold generally soggy one. My friend ordered the Classic Italian made with salami, capicola, prosciutto, provolone, lettuce, onion and tomato. Funny thing is that my friend's sandwich was not a grilled sandwich and it took as long as my grilled sandwich. My order was the Chicken Cheesesteak. Supposedly including grilled mushrooms and onions and melted Provolone cheese. Additionally I ordered the regular Cheesesteak fries with grilled steak, white American cheese, mushrooms, onions and sweet peppers. We found a seat and grabbed a soda and waited for our order, I will say they had a descent soda selection, one I really liked a vanilla flavor I liked a lot. So, something about the way the orders are served, not on tray but in a giant paper bag. My friend ordered a half a sandwich and that came in a GIANT paper bag ! I ordered a medium sandwich and the Cheesesteak fries and mine came out as two separate articles, it made no sense. Both wrapped in huge amounts of butcher paper. ( Lots of waste here. ) As for the sandwiches, mine was generously filled with chicken but couldn't really detect the mushrooms or onions. My friend's Italian was minuscule, looking to be about two inches thick. The Cheesesteak fries were pretty good, crispy but overly salty. Another complaint is that as your order is ready they call your name, actually they yell out your name. Very inefficient way too, a microphone would be a better more proper way of implementing this system. So in conclusion, as I began saying that for a Chain Restaurant that has been in business since 1976 I expected greatness here, but I didn't feel that with our visit here. read more

I'm so sad writing this review because I love Capriotti's but I ordered The Bobby today and when I got home to eat it the bread looked like it had been smashed in someone's hand. On my second bite I bit into a bone! The bone totally threw me off and I couldn't eat anymore. I also got a combo with the fries and they were okay but verrryyy salty. I know this location is new but they have a lot of stuff to work through. I don't know if I would come back for a while or at least until they get everything figured out. read more

I placed an online order at 12:07 PM for 2:15pm pick up. I arrived at the store location at 2:10pm. And was told by your Associate that they had made my order at 12:15 and had to throw it away because they made it too early and would make my order ASAP. The lobby had about five other customers waiting for their orders, and they all seem to be frustrated with the wait time. Another customer arrived and said that his order was messed up, and the girl offered to give him a refund or remake his meal, which she requested both. As I'm patiently waiting, it is now 25 minutes later. At this point, a girl had just walked in from a smoking break from outside, long, red curly hair, not pulled back or wearing a hat. She walked in, did not wash her hands and proceeded to help the two other associates make food. As I decided at this point I no longer wanted to wait and just wanted a refund they say my order is ready. I politely asked the girl for a refund and she called over the other girl with red curly hair. The girl with red curly hair so she was not able to give me a refund. They just made my food. They're short staffed. They again explained that they made my food earlier and messed up. I again politely asked for just a refund as it was ridiculous for the amount of time I was waiting and I would've just rather go somewhere else. They explained to me that they could not give me a refund and I had to do it online so I asked for their help and how to request a refund online. At this point, the girl with red curly hair had walked off and the other Associate was trying to help me request a refund online but could not figure it out. There was a young male Associate there who chimed in and said some rude comments about me requesting a refund. As the associate is still trying to figure the online refund out, the girl with red hair comes back from the back area and says Scott said he can give you a refund, but I'm not allowed to give you his number. Here's the district number and writes down a number that has been disconnected. 702-736-3878. She then pulls away the food and says she cannot give me the food nor my refund and I needed to leave the store. So I have left the store with no food nor my money back and a phone number that has been disconnected. I then called the Reno location and spoke to the store manager named Million who said he would contact Scott the district manager and have him call me right away.  It is now 3:20 PM and I still have not received a call from Scott had to look for another area to buy food but yet did not receive a refund for my online order. I will be completing a yelp review and uploading all my receipts from this incident, this is no way to treat a paying customer and when your staff cannot help resolve a situation there's no way to get in contact with the manager of the store. Your store literally stole from me and my family. We left with no food or my money back. At 7pm Eduardo called me. Did not express true remorse for such a horrible experience. Scott the district manager NEVER reached out, leaving me to believe he too does not understand nor care about customer service. Below you will see the staff and my order. Gosh. We wanted it to be good. The menu was different than most. My wife got the chicken cheesesteak. When we opened it up there was hardly any cheese and drier than a desert. I got a chipotle chicken sandwich and when I started eating it no chipotle flavor and it could have been shipped from the same desert. Why did we pay 25 dollars for that. Always super cold and annoying music. it was both times we have ordered a mob of delivery pick up drivers come in and their orders always trump customers in the dining area. It was not a good experience. We called an order in for 2 sandwiches and 2 orders of French Fries. We arrived at the prescribed time given to us to pick up our order. I had ordered a French Dip sandwich and fries. When our order was ready, I grabbed a fry out of the bag and found a bagful of limp French Fries. I talked to the cashier and asked if I could have a freshly cooked French Fries. She attempted to convince me that the French fries were recently cooked and there was nothing wrong with them. She was a bit contentious and stated to an employee in a rude tone that I wanted crispy fries. When we got home we discovered that only one order of fries was replaced. My family has been to the new location twice since it opened. Even on their second day the wait was extremely reasonable and the mood excited/happy while it was chaotically busy. The line barely stayed inside the door and the seating was almost full when we came in. The food was good though. The hot sandwiches were hot still when we got home and the sides were good! My husband has been getting the American Wagyu Cheesesteak and raves about it. I adore the Hot Bobbie. The perfect bite with the mayo, turkey, stuffing and cranberry can't be beat! I ordered a small and a medium cheesesteak and when I got home they were literally both the same size sandwich which was a small. On top of that the sandwich looks like it was flattened like a pancake, WHAT THE???????? Half the meat portion compared to our other local capriotti's spot. Super disappointed about this location. Also to wrap up this review was that the food did not seem that fresh and the sandwich wasn't that hot. Absolutely unacceptable experience. We waited 30 minutes for our food while customers who ordered after us were served first. When our order finally arrived, it was missing the fries, forcing us to go back to the counter and wait another five minutes. Even placing the order was a problem. While we were ordering, the employee taking our order, Emmett, walked away multiple times and answered the phone, interrupting us and dragging the process out unnecessarily. The lack of professionalism was shocking. Emmett was wearing a belt with an inappropriate and offensive slogan, which has no place in a food service environment. Even worse, the only female employee behind the counter called a customer a "b***h" under her breath, loud enough to be heard. This location appears to be completely unmanaged. Poor service, missing food, and openly disrespectful staff point to serious leadership failure. If this is a franchise, the owners should be embarrassed -- because whoever is supposed to be in charge is clearly absent. Avoid this location until there is real accountability. The two Reno locations are always great. Go there and avoid the sparks location if possible. read more

Favorite new local spot! The ingredients are always fresh and made to order. We have tried everything on the menu and have no complaints. The wagyu and fries take a little longer, as expected, but sooooooo worth the wait. Aside from the delicious food, the environment is very warm and welcoming. I have ordered from this location multiple times and have loved the sandwiches and fries. This last time I ordered a wagyu cheesesteak which was terrible! The meat was not good what so ever and the sandwich was extremely bland. The other sandwich I ordered was the classic Italian which I have had a lot of times and it was absolutely terrible there was maybe 1/4 the meat then usual, I added sweet peppers and there was sweet peppers on only half the sandwich and literally 3 pieces of sweet peppers. Very good sandwiches and fries, but you'll wait a long, long time after ordering to receive them. This location has a major efficiency problem. To their credit, the employees are apologetic every time regarding the wait, but again, there's something wrong, given that they feel compelled to apologize every time. There can be twice as many employees as customers in the store, yet a simple order will have one waiting 35 minutes or more. Very frustrating. read more

Don't go in here if you're in a hurry. It took over a half hour to get two sandwiches to go. The children working there move at the speed of catatonic zombies. The communication was horrible in the kitchen between the sandwich makers and the girl st the counter with confusion reigning. Sandwiches stacked up at the counter and the poor girl was playing musical sandwiches, not really knowing what went where. That aside, the sandwiches sucked. There was only white bread available, no Dutch crunch. My wife's Bobby didn't have any mayonnaise on it. My wagyu cheesesteak didn't have anything on it other than a pile of mushy meat. Bring your own wipes. We tried this new Capriotti's tonight. We've eaten at many of the other locations and have not experienced this. All the tables were dirty, but the staff had time to BS in the back. The garbage cans were overflowing and trash on the floor. The food prep area was even worse. It looked like several sandwiches just exploded and they never bothered to clean it up. Don't think I will back to this location. Which is sad since it is so close to my home. read more
