I rarely give a one star review I have passed this place twice a week for the past several years and finally decided to stop and order something to see what all the good reviews were about. I should've kept driving. I stopped in for a breakfast sandwich and interrupted the cook eating breakfast. I asked for a sausage egg and cheese sandwich. The cook kept trying to convince me to get bacon I guess, because he kept asking me if I wanted bacon. No, sausage. I was in full view of the flat-top and nothing went on it. Never turned it on. My egg got scrambled with some cheese bits and got put in the microwave. I think that's how my sausage got "cooked" because there was no browning. I guess my roll had to be defrosted because it too went into the microwave. To make matters worse, the paper menu said $7.99. He charged me $10 and some change. He kept offering me "free coffee". No thanks. Nothing about this experience was positive. The ambiance here is lacking. The food and service do not make up for it. One star and that's a gift. read more

Before I even attempt to eat this sandwich I'd like to let everyone know, all parts of my breakfast sandwich were cooked in microwaves... the pork roll and eggs... then on top of it the man didn't wear gloves and put the pork roll on my sandwich with his fingers that were just touching a cash register. Also their menu prices have changed and a sandwich that says $5.49 is actually $8.49. Overall, save your money and immune system, so unsanitary. read more

Decided to try this place based on the reviews and I was not disappointed. It's an old looking building. There's a small area with some booths to the left of the entrance. You order at the cashier in the grocery store section and then wait while they cook it up. Hot, fresh and delicious. I ordered a cheesesteak with grilled onions and sweet peppers. It was very cheesy. My husband ordered a cheesesteak with raw onions and extra meat. (I posted an updated menu). Bread was soft and chewy. Worth checking out. read more

The big irony is that I liked it. It was very overpriced at $9.50. You can see in the picture that it needs a whole lot more meat. The ironic twist is the lack of meat made it very cheesy. I like fried onions, lots of fried onions. I don't know, when you can get a picture with a giant Oreo is it a bad day? It had a nice little taste, chewy roll, cheesy, all things I like. The $9 price tag is way out of line. I took it to Levante Brewing. Good overall experience. read more

I've been passing Deli-Grove for years and had never stopped in before today. I was always rushing home from work. I regret that now! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our chicken and beef cheesesteaks and are already plotting our next trip there. The owners are a lovely couple we'll be happy to see again. read more

This is probably my favorite Deli place in the area. It is a family owned business operated by the same family for 35 years. The service is prompt and the food is appetizing and freshly prepared . I ordered a cheesesteak with mushrooms and peppers, it was hot off the grill and the rolls are delivered to the store freshly baked every morning . It was delicious and I washed it down with a blood orange Diet Coke . I will visit this place again in the future . read more

3.5 STARS. Went with my husband and three kids tonight. Pretty run-down little store greets you. You order in the store front and then you can sit in the food area if you wish. There are six booths to eat in but NO air conditioning and no shades on the windows, so the dining area is pretty uncomfortable in the Summer (when we went). The eating area does not appear to be very clean. Not filthy, but could have really used a good scrub down. We got cheese steaks and my husband got a gyro combo. The cheese steaks were very good. Good size. Good price. Terribly under seasoned, but I added my own S&P and was good to go. The gyro was terrible. Three small slices of sad, light grey, meat with no browning. Awful toppings. Odd tzatziki sauce that was more like salad dressing. DONT ORDER THE GYRO. The fries were hot and crisp. No complaints. If you stick to the hot sandwiches and fries and get your food to-go this is a great little place for a good cheesesteak with very reasonable prices. read more

Surprised by other positive reviews. Ate here only once and that was enough not to show foot here again. Ordered a chicken salad sandwich, ate a couple bites and had to throw the rest out. Not quite sure what one would need to do to a sandwich to make it taste like that, but my guess is the sauce. I hardly ever throw food out and felt bad to do that. Husband, on the other hand, had a cheesesteak here and swears it was not bad. I would have to take his word for it, I am still not coming back. This is a mom and pop store that's been around for over 34 years! Both owners are friendly, down to earth and welcoming. You can really sense how proud they are to have owned their own business for so long. I had a large cheesesteak and an order of fries. The cheesesteak was delicious and very filling. So filling that I had to take the fries with me. I don't live in their area but I'll definitely visit when I get the chance. read more

Deli-Grove is a very good restaurant with quality food and service. It didn't appear to be the best but i was proven very wrong. The restaurant owners were very kind and welcoming. The food was amazing. I personally got the cheesesteak with tomatoes and mayo. The flavor of the cheesesteak with the tomatoes and mayo make up a delicious sandwich. Highly recommend and I would definitely swing by there again. read more

I recently had a cheesesteak here. It has been quite some time since my last visit and I was disappointed. Quality seems to have fallen and quantity certainly has. I would now suggest customers take the 'extra meat' and or 'toppings' option even though it increases the cost of this already low priced sandwich. I recently went there last friday and was astonished at the quality of their food. They really put out a great product for a more than reasonable price. I am a chicken cheesesteak guy and theirs are top of the line. I even got a milkshake to complete it and thought I was in heaven. The owners are nice but be warned if you decide to call them it may be a little hard to understand the female owner on the phone if you are placing an order. Other than that the place is golden. The owners are sooo nice. They have been running this special for a cold cut sub foot long is 4.99 for about a year now. Even if you want to add fries and a drink its still cheaper than a combo at wendys or burger king. I will constantly go here from now on when I get a craving for chicken cheese steaks/ or subs. There are a couple of booths to sit in. The place could use some sprucing up but otherwise its a great place to stop in for a quick bite to eat for lunch or pick up subs on the way home from work. read more
