We tried Capri's for the first time today and it was kind of ying and yang. We ordered the calamari and it was excellent 4.5. Our salads were also very good and the pepper Parmesan dressing was delish. 4.0. The waiter, great guy and great service recommended the "Tour of Venice". And it was pretty disappointing. The manicotti had a good filling and good sauce but the pasta was doughy and gummy 2.0. The lasagna was dry and over cooked and there was no recognizable ricotta in it adding to the dryness. 2.0. Lastly the chicken parmigiana was bad. The chicken was so dry and stringy I could not swallow it, I had to take it out of my mouth. That said we'll give it another try. The spaghetti and meatballs looked good and the onion rings looked good as well. I think the Venice trio had been sitting around and all got over cooked. If it is better next time, I'll amend my review. read more

I always enjoy authentic Italian food especially for date nights, went here on Saturday night to celebrate for Valentine's Day with my partner. There was a wait as they seem to be well know for having great food and service. The atmosphere was more intimate and inviting. The waitress was very kind and friendly. Entrees come with Italian baked bread and salad and my partner's came with soup as well. The bread was fresh and tasted great the salad had many toppings and the house made Italian dressing was delicious, nice to dip the bread in as well. Then came our entrees, I ordered the tortellini it was cooked well with lots of melted cheese on top holding in the sauce and fresh baked heat on the inside. It was very filling, only wish the inside was more creamy seemed to be mainly tortellini with not much sauce. But overall very good. Would recommend for a date night or family celebration. UPDATED REVIEW: Adding this after the fact, on March 27th 2025 SCDA conducted a routine food establishment inspection. Capris was designated a B for improper cooling (items probed at 50 degrees), improper reheating (sauces as low as 88 holding temp, meat balls at 118), improper date labeling, not cleaning surfaces, a kayak paddle being used to stir pasta sauce, thermometers that aren't accurate, multiple dirty food equipment to quote "sight and touch" including an ice machine and tea taps. And there's more that this is getting too long to list! Ordered for the family, we don't eat here often because of the high prices. But somehow even with high prices they manage to mess up food that every 16 year old in America makes at their local pizza place. How do you have a chewy, burnt pizza.. And then let it die in the window? And still hand the COLD chewy burnt pizza to a customer? This is the simplest item on the menu. This shows an absolute failure of the cooks, expeditors, servers and it all starts at management. At some point this should've been stopped and the order remade. Note the quality of the bread. Very bad. Not authentic by any means. My pasta tasted like a frozen tv dinner. Super disappointing.

We went there yesterday, as the day after the 4th not much was open. We went there with total of 3 parties, me, my wife and 2 grandchildren. I had the baked ziti, my wife the spaghetti and both of the grand children wanted the mozzarella sticks. $20.00 for some noodles? Better be good. It wasn't. First of all- the bread was old, dry and definitely re-baked- disgusting to put this on a customer's table. The cheese on the Zitis was burned to crisp, the Zitis underneath bland and tasteless, besides it was the size of a kids menu. Awful. I ate it, as I was hungry and didn't want to disrupt our gathering. My wife's spaghetti- wasn't good either. But the biggest beater was the bill: $96.00! For noodles, cheese sticks, something to drink ( sweet tea) and a obviously mandatory 15% tip- in a restaurant which seemed to had the last renovation35 years ago? They lost their ever loving mind. And whoever writes "authentic"- my sister lived 25 years in Italy. As I lived in Germany, I visited her at least 6 times per year. This "Italian food" is as far away from authentic than point Nemo in the pacific from the next coastline. It's beyond me, this restaurant even has long lines in the front to get in. I guess, nobody loving this restaurant never had good food. 0 stars for the food, 5 stars for the service- she really took care of us, that's why I didn't complain about the tip. It's outrageous. $96.00 for food I get much better with similar service at Milanos in Simpsonville for less than half of the price. We will not be back. read more

Capris has always been our favorite but the last year or so it went downhill! We said we weren't going back! But we decided to give it one more try and so glad we did! Been eating at Capris since I was a kid. Still never disappoints. My favorite is the Lasagna.

Yummy, yummy! We ate here for an early dinner with friends. Each got something different and everyone was happy. Appetizers were delicious, salads were fresh and tasty and our entrees were all perfect. Service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and inviting, beautifully decorated for Christmas--jealous of their decorations actually! The food is not worth the money. The servers are rude. The restaurant is hot and too cramped. I had to go to the car in 90 degree weather to change my babies diaper, because they do not have a changing table. My first date with my wife was here 50 Years ago and I've been going for 52 years. I have eaten all over the country but this location gets the honor of most frequented. The antipasto salad and the lasagna would be my final meal if I had to choose one someday. The fresh bread is terrific too. This place will close someday and I'll be crushed. We came here from Pa to celebrate with our grandparents, my daughter high school graduation/ birthday. What a delicious place! The sweet tea and the fact there ice is crushed( bonus points), but the food was phenomenal! I actually NEVER buy lasagna anywhere I go but pap said it's the best. Well it isn't mine but it's definitely absolutely amazing! The ravioli with Alfredo was my favorite favorite though! I definitely recommend at least trying them. They didn't let me down! Ordered food to pick up and when my husband got home we were so disappointed. We ordered veal parm and chicken parm. Meatballs and salad. We got 2 vegetable lasagna and 3 salads, and meatballs.my husband didn't want me to call and complain, but I did and the man who answered the phone said he would give me a credit for the veal parm and when we go back just tell them he said there is a note on my account. Guess what! I will not be going back there again! The food was horrible. The service was really nice but when you order and don't check your sealed bag until you get home, and you live a 1/2 hour away. Don't be surprised what you get. read more

It had been awhile since I've been to Capri's. We were pleasantly surprised at both the quality and value of our food. My manicotti was amazing and my wife raved about her raviolis. To all of the locals out there - don't get too excited about trying the new location on Pelham Road. We all miss the older locations on August Rd, Stone Ave, and Woodruff Rd, and like many others we have made the Easley location our go-to place. But we gave the new Greenville location a try. Pelham was loud, rushed service, too modern and unwelcoming. That famous meat sauce was just not the same over there. I could go on and on, but let's just say we all left Pelham unsatisfied and disappointed. We will continue to drive from Greenville to the Easley location. Please Easley just stay the same, and don't use Pelham Road as a model of what you think your customers desire. read more

Food was mediocre. Manicotti was not baked - just stuffed and meat sauce poured over - no melted cheese baked. Smothered chicken was $22 and nothing but flat chicken breast with cut up peppers and some mozzarella cheese over that was barely melted - could still see separate shreds on top. Jumbo fried Shrimp was very good and is the best bargain. Iceberg lettuce only in salad along with a few chopped tomatoes and 1 olive. I think I ate a bread and butter pickle that I thought was a cucumber. Some in party got a slice of pepperoni on theirs. Minestrone soup that came with manicotti had to be from a can barely heated up. Tomato sauce was also bland and tasted like it came from a can. We had family in town that were familiar with this restaurant from years past when they had multiple locations and suggested we make the drive to experience the authentic italian food for ourselves. We went on a Monday night over the holiday week and arrived to find a very crowded waiting area with a line nearly out the front door. Unfortunately this location does not have a bar area that you can wait at because it would have been nice to be able to grab a drink during the nearly hour wait for a table. There are several benches in the foyer area but still the majority of people waiting had standing room only. The restaurant does have a second entry way just for take out orders that is very convenient to keep those coming in to pick up food from having to wade through those waiting to be seated for dine in. The menu has all of the classic italian offerings as well as steak and seafood options which our waitress pointed out and made sure we didn't overlook even though we all ended up ordering pasta of sorts. Two couples did the lasagna dinner for two (each person gets their own plate and salad but the price is slightly less than ordering separately 'for one'). I ordered the meatballs which was a very sizeable portion with a side of pasta with meat sauce that could have been a meal on its own. Another guest ordered the manicotti and every single dish that we were served was piping hot, fresh and delicious. We ended up with way too much food on the table and everybody was able to take home leftovers. We were all stuffed but decided to order a round of coffees and a slice of chocolate mousse cake for the table to share while we visited a little while longer. It was a huge slice of cake that was very dense and rich so it was perfect for everyone to get a bite or two and satisfy our sweet tooth without overindulging after an already filling meal. Our waitress, Cassie, was very friendly and personable as well as knowledgeable about the restaurant with many years of experience working there. She was quite entertaining and really let her personality shine while also being very professional and attentive! Very good traditional Italian food and more. This is a very busy restaurant and clearly a favorite amongst locals. They open at 4 on Saturdays, but already had a 30 minute wait at 4:45. There's more than one person managing the wait list, so it goes fast. Once seated and after ordering drinks and salads, loaves of freshly baked, very soft bread were brought to our table. Our salads were delivered fresh, with crispy iceberg lettuce, bell peppers, pepperoni, and a whole pepperoncini pepper. I ordered the eggplant marinara, which came with a side of spaghetti. The generous serving of thinly sliced fried (but not greasy) eggplant was topped with a chunky and very flavorful marinara. I could have eaten the whole thing but opted to save half for lunch the next day. The lasagna entree also ordered at our table was big enough for two. Overall, it was a very nice experience. It's a very family friendly place and managed well. Service was efficient, and you can tell that they strive for quality with everything they do. This was our second visit since we were very unimpressed with our first visit about a year prior and we wanted to give them another chance. Absolutely terrible! I ordered veal parmigiana which was previously frozen, then heated up. It came wrapped in aluminum foil on a dish and not even plated. If I wanted frozen food I could have stayed home. The side of spaghetti had a very bland sauce covering it that tasted like it came from a can. They should be embarrassed to call this an Italian restaurant. Bad, bad, bad. read more

My family and I went to celebrate my husbands birthday and this place truly disappoint everyone at the table. There was a bit of a wait which was fine. But once we sat down our server Britney took our drink order then disappeared. 20 Minutes later our drinks were at our table along with the complimentary bread. For an Italian restaurant I'm shocked at their choice of bread. It looked like a baguette that they couldn't take the minute to fully cut through, it was barely toasted. To be clear this was the best part of our meal. Britney then proceeded to take our order to which it took 40 minutes to get JUST OUR SALAD. To then which my mother asked how long for the main course, she said 10 minutes. The Italian dressing for the salad was watered down Kraft Italian dressing. We had to ask for my sons spaghetti and meatball to arrive with the salads because he was starving! Ten minutes came and went and we still didn't have our main course. 15 minutes went by and that's when my mother went to a manager and miraculously the food was at our table. It wasn't even good. The fettuccine Alfredo was overcooked and salty. My mother in law couldn't even eat it. The tortellini was hard. My husband got the tour around Venice (Ravioli, eggplant parmigiana and veal parmigiana ) The ravioli was was bland and the sauce was salty. The veal was just unbranded cubed steak! It was thicker than a snicker! The eggplant was the only semi decent thing he ate and that's saying a lot. I, ordered the baked ziti. When you think baked ziti you don't normally anticipate a meat sauce - I personally do not eat ground meat. Maybe I looked over that in the menu and if I did that is on me. But it was such small portion of a meal. I barely had any pasta in my plate it was all meat sauce. At that point I just wanted to go home. Also, pretty annoyed that I had to change my daughters POOP diaper in her car seat at our table. Their bathrooms have no changing tables. Did they think I was going to throw a blanket on the floor and change her? I am extremely disappointed. TWO HOURS WASTED AND WE ALL LEFT HUNGRY. NEVER GOING BACK. My 6 year old son and I came to eat on Valentine's Day after coming here for years and I was blown away at the rude service we received right upon entry. We were told to wait in our car because they had 80 other people waiting in their cars. It's sad to watch a restaurant be arrogant and rude when so many restaurants are dying from the pandemic shut downs earlier this year. We arrived at 7:00 on Friday night and had a 35-minute wait for our table, which wasn't bad considering how many parties were ahead of us. George (short for Georgette) was our server and she was a seasoned pro - made sure everything came out in the right order at the right time so our whole meal flowed perfectly. We got fried ("homemade") Onion Rings (very good), Antipasto Salad w/ Ranch Dressing (good), Garden Salad w/ Bleu Cheese Dressing (average - dressing was pretty good), "Bread Basket" (average - would be better if bread were crispy Italian bread and not just plain, soft bread), Veggie Lasagna (good but not great - was better the next day warmed over as lasagna often is), Prime Rib (good but not great - tender, decent taste but they do not offer rare, only medium rare...also, I prefer more fat with my Prime Rib - the cut was very lean), Baked Potato (very good, large, fresh, delicious) One small but significant detail (IMO) is that they serve real butter, not margarine. I appreciate this, personally. It comes with your potato and it is also on the table. The dining room (quite large) is decorated nicely with paintings on the walls and lamps/lighting placed about. It is divided into tiers so there is more than one level. The tables are far enough apart that the servers can get in between to serve/clean up without disrupting the diners. One thing I would change is the lighting...I think it would be a nice touch if they would dim the lights for dinner. The ambiance of the place would be completely different in low light...much more conducive to dinner in an Italian restaurant. It was very bright during our visit. They have a large and varied menu from which to choose. If you are on the Capri's page on Yelp, you can click on the menu tab and their entire menu will come up just as it appears in the restaurant...very helpful. I probably won't get the Prime Rib again, but we will likely give it another shot because there are so many other items to choose from. read more

Salads and bread were top notch, and the fried calamari appetizer was truly the best I have ever tasted. Entrees of shrimp scampi and veal Parmesan were superb. We had a 6 person party and went for dinner. Our dishes ranged from salad to spaghetti to pizza. Some of the dishes were ok, others (like the pizza) were poor. the people here are very nice, but the decor and general environment is dark and dated. The food is mediocre to be kind. I would characterize the food as 90s Italian. The pizza arrived lukewarm and the spaghetti was honestly no better than you and a jar of Ragu. There's a decent amount of parking and the staff are nice. The purpose of the establishment however, Italian dining, is where this place is lacking. I would consider other options in the area unless you are just absolutely bent on a form of Italian. read more
