I've been here multiple times, and today I saw something new on the menu - the same food but in smaller portions. I was so excited because, if you've never been to Toney's, you know the portions for Italian food are huge and always leave leftovers. For me, that gets wasted. So, I got the chicken Alfredo small portions for $9.50, and my boyfriend got spaghetti and meatballs with extra meatballs for, I believe, $15. We were both disappointed. He's gotten this exact order multiple times, but this time they reduced the spaghetti amount when he asked for extra meatballs, so he was able to eat everything when he normally has leftovers. Mine was a child's portion of food - no joke; it took me 7 bites to eat. I had to look at the menu again to make sure I didn't order off the children's menu. read more

First time at Tony's tonight. Not a fancy place, but the food was really good! I had spaghetti and meatballs. The meat sauce was absolutely delicious, obviously homemade. My wife had the Greek salad and a side of meatballs. She really enjoyed it. We have enough left for lunch tomorrow. The service was great (Heather) and the food came without delay. This is a bit of hole in the wall, possibly family owned. Husband ordered the special, chicken fried steak, w/ two sides, he chose Mac n cheese, and mash potatoes. He ate it all and Loved it. ordered a large veggie pizza is the oddest veggie pizza I've ever seen. Had to look for the vegetables because there was next to none. I'll be like black olives you go home happy because there must've been 30-40 whole olives on this pizza. There were couple young men at least if not more working that night. Tony's has many very good Italian dishes, but I just had their 10" pizza for $10 and I just want to say that the pizza is awesome and the price is right! Horrible service horrible food. Will NEVER go back to this place. I'm hoping none of us get sick. Cashier was handling registrar and cheesecake with his bare hands. Bread was just bread and butter. No garlic. Antipasto salad was crap. No salami, no Pepperoni or pepperchini. No one looks like they want to be there. As for the lasagna Stouffer's would have been way better and cheaper!! There's was greasy and sloppy. Didn't even taste like lasagna. SAVE YOUR MONEY!! DO NOT GO HERE!! Don't know if state has mandate for food preparation but no one was wearing a mask or gloves. Stopped in spur of the moment driving through, chicken parm is frozen chicken tenders covered in sauce and cheese so much as to disguise what it really is. My sons water had a termite in the ice (unfortunately for them my husband is in pest control so no doubt what it was). The Place Tony's Restaurant is located at 704 W Main St, Pickens, SC. This restaurant is dated by appears clean and has adequate table and booth seating. The Menu The menu had many choices from which to choose. Sub sandwiches, burgers, chicken options, and Italian mainstay offerings. We ordered Chicken Marsala, Salad entree, and a side order of onion rings. We were disappointed to say the least. The sliced cheese for the salad was a 1/4" thick... seriously. The Chicken Marsala was not good. The noodles were cold the chicken luke warm and chewy and the sauce blan. The onion rings must have be made ahead of time because they were cold and soggy. The Experience/Value/Service Our service was very quick and and our server checked on us frequently. The prices were high for the quality and presentation of the food. Spent $75 dollars to feed our family here, got a to-go order and received the wrong food. When we got home and discovered this we called (slightly after they closed) to see if they would make it right. Immediately on the phone we were not-so-happily greeted with an angry teen boy telling us he there was nothing that could be done and yelling at my mother saying he wouldn't do anything to fix it. Another boy proceeded to take the phone and tell us that he would fix it tomorrow. My father asked who was yelling at my mother and the boy suddenly started yelling that he was going to call the police saying that my father was threatening him. So today I (the daughter) called the store back because my mother didn't want to bother with it. I was *extremely* nice on the phone with the boy that answered and kindly asked for a member of management. I then proceeded to explain to the member of "management" the issue and he took my mothers number, said he was actually a waiter, and said that Tony (the owner) would contact her in regards to what would happen with our never received order. He claimed that he could do nothing to make it right, and hung up. No biggie! We figured Tony would be in touch, but no. Ten minutes later I received a very angry call from, who would have guessed, the young man, and yet again he was enraged and claiming he was going to call the police and give them my number for harassment if I ever contact the store again. To conclude, my family will no longer fund this business because as a 21 year old that's worked in food service and customer service since I was 16, this behavior is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! read more

I Love their pizza, but had the lasagna last time..I was told it was his Mama's recipe....WONDROUS! Had to take some home, since the portion was so ample...enough for TWO people, actually. Great prices and great food. Yesterday my boyfriend wanted to take me to this restaurant. He's lived near it for a long time and has told me about it a few times and wanted to take me. The reviews people have given it are pretty bad so I was a little worried but I didn't question him since I've heard him say it's great more than once. It is a nice casual place to eat not fancy but nice. I got the chicken parm. It was a huge serving and I got to have it for lunch again today. My family and I used to eat at Tonys at least one a week, sometimes multiple times a week, but we havent been there since the renovations have been done. We will not go back anymore! Since the renovations, they have gone up on all their prices! The food isn't worth the money they ask! Prices now (with coupon) are still more expensive than the regular price it used to be!
