Okay this place is just weird! This is the kind of the place that you are either going to love it, or just "meh" it. It definitely attracts a certain type of crowd. I was invited by some friends to see a rock band and have a "super club" type experience. Sounded kinda weird to me, but I am always up for something new. When I walked in, I could tell in an instant it wasn't going to be for me. The place is beautiful inside, but the setup is super weird and the space just isn't for this type of dining. Some tables are way in the back, so you don't even have a view of the stage, other are on the sides of the stage to where you are seeing the backside of the entertainers, most are places around the dance floor. We were seated at a side table by super loud speakers and a back view of the performers. I couldn't hear a thing anyone was saying at our dinner table when the show started, which is a shame because the food was out of this world. It would have been great to actually enjoy the food, drinks and conversation while not sitting next to speakers. All that we ordered was outstanding - The naughty fries, deviled eggs, short ribs, and so much more. There wasn't a terrible thing. The drinks were great too. Our service was also fantastic. Let me add, that princes aren't cheap here. My problem with the place is....do you want to be fine dining or do you want to be an entertainment venue? The two did not work well for me with the space they have. But like I said, this place isn't for everyone, but it IS for a lot of people. This was our first time at CAPS Supper Club since they reopened after COVID. We had a great time! There were six of us and we had Dawn as our waitress, she was awesome. The service was great, we had so much fun dancing to the band and they treated us so well. Two of us were celebrating birthdays and they brought us free desserts and a champagne toast. The food was very good as well. Caleb the GM or Assistant GM came by and checked on us twice. Please go to CAPS and keep them open, it is a great place for dinner and dancing. Brought the wife here for a birthday night out. I'd been here before when it was CAPS Piano Bar and I must say the whole vibe and customer base have changed...for the better. We ended up being only 2 of 5 people to show up on a Thursday night, at least before we left around 9:30pm, but the DJ was doing his thing with the R&B throwback hits, and the staff were super attentive. The bartender's spin on the Old Fashioned included a toasted cinnamon stick, which was initially a bit strange to this Old Fashioned lover, but it added an interesting scent and flavour that I gladly asked for another. We both ordered the redfish, which was covered in Pontchartrain sauce and was accompanied by dirty rice. The rice wasn't all that "dirty" but it was tasty. The redfish was da bomb! We plan to give CAPS another go, next time on the weekend in hopes of a larger crowd. read more

I am so glad we made a reservation for a birthday girl. I totally trust my feelings about this place, so I invited her. The indoor decor is very classy and immediately puts you in a musical mood. The fantastic band, singers, and music I was on were highly professional. Honestly, I felt like I was at the Las Vegas show. The selection of the songs was based on the unforgettable era and the fact that you cannot stop singing and dancing with them. Another reason for 5 stars is that delicious food prepared by an excellent chef was served elegantly. During candlelight dinner, we enjoyed the food and music simultaneously. Being from out of town we googled somewhere close to eat. The food selections sounds great so we made a choice to try. When we arrived we learned they were having a special Tina Turner Experience show and needed reservations. But since we were early they let us sit with the understanding that if we stayed we would have to pay for a ticket. I was in desperate need to find live music on a Friday night that wasn't a production (deposit, table minimum, cover etc.) I found this spot on yelp and found out it recently reopened. I made a reservation for 4 and hoped for the best. This spot is beautiful on the inside and perfect backdrop for a Friday night. The kitchen is open late (our reservation was for 10:15). The croquet bites and calamari were great to munch on and tasted fresh. I also had a whiskey flight that was pretty tasty. The music was mostly RnB and Old School Hits. Here in Houston on a 2 night trip so decided to come try CAPS. The ambiance from the moment we walked in was so much fun: live music and a crowd of people on the dance floor. Heath and Miguel were behind bar and were very friendly and got my date and I drinks. The food was incredible, I got the chimichurri lamb lollipops with mashed potatoes and broccoli. My date got The Jules chicken dish with broccoli. Both were so incredible with perfect seasoning and the Chef Jules (whom the dish was named after) came by to see how everything tasted. First of all we Went out of our way to visit this place it's very far from our home! We won't be going back or recommending to anyone. The band playing was excellent the service is extremely slow to the point that we'd been waiting to order and two hours later they'd ran out of everything we wanted it took the waitress a whole hour to bring a beer! I drank two glasses of water just to sit there and listen to the band It was a horrible night we had to just check out and go somewhere else and Management doesn't care at all they just make excuses they were out of so many items! I performed there with the level one band on 2 occasions, the last performance being on 1/17/2024 and we rocked out. Levelone is a great band. I have loved the place from the first time that I walked in. The food smells great and looks good and I have heard some of the patrons saying how good the food is which I don't doubt. I was disappointed that the lamb chops had just became sold out because I was really looking forward to it .
