Even with the huge crowd, Traveling J's was running like a well-oiled machine. Two people--just a chef and a cashier--were absolutely cranking out orders while still keeping the line moving fast. Impressive! We narrowed our choices down to two items to split - Gourmet Grilled Cheese + Garlic Cilantro Fries (upgrade) and Hummus with carrots & cucumbers. Add two cold drinks and our total came to $28.62. Not bad considering the generous portions. When we opened our to-go boxes, we were seriously impressed. The hummus was smooth and creamy, drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with spices. The fries were crispy (not soggy!) with just the right kick of garlic and cilantro. And the grilled cheese? Perfectly toasted, melty, and stuffed with sweet, crispy bacon. Cheese was oozing, bread was golden, and it was everything a grilled cheese should be--and then some. The portions were more than enough for two hungry adults, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I even made sure to compliment the chef--he looked like he'd been hustling nonstop to keep up with the crowd, and it showed in the quality. Next time, I've got my eye on their fried Halloumi cheese. It looked AMAZING coming out of that truck. Bottom line: Fresh, flavorful, filling, and run by a hardworking duo who know what they're doing. Traveling J's is officially on my "must-eat-again" list.

All were delicious with the pork being our favorite. We also tried their regular pretzel and cinnamon pretzel. Both were great. Their coffee was also delicious. They have a small drive through and a few tables if you want to eat their. We had to wait for the pretzels to be made fresh, which took about 15 min, well worth the wait. (They've also been located on Oak Street, but like I said, check ahead.) I had a brisket sandwich with 2 sides for about $12, which was a steal. Food was delicious. They put sauce on the brisket which isn't my preference but it was lightly enough coated for it to be okay. The meat was tender and flavorful. The container was super heavy. They piled the meat high! There were some chunks of fat, but I don't eat the roll so I was forking through anyway, and despite the fat pieces, the quantity of meat was still quite a lot. Mac-n-cheese was great. Real cheese, not cheese sauce or stew in there. Baked so some crisp on top. Sweet potatoes were laden with cinnamon, which I love! Really well-spiced and delicious! The staff is very friendly, following COVID protocols, and accepting credit cards! The Gibbons location is mostly a residential area, but don't feel you're lost, it's there. I turned down Franklin because the side streets are one ways. But that will get you right into their lot. Actually if you turn down Gibbons you'll have more trouble accessing them.
