So here is what is interesting about this place, First they have awesome Won-ton soup. Usually it's thin noodles that collapse under their own weight, Not here. Nice firm, delicious. But the sushi, I did not do the AYCE option just did the regular sushi menu but I got the feeling that the nigiri especially was sort of the AYCE size (small pieces of fish etc) I had tobiko sushi and there was barely enough tobiko to cover the eggs. I understand when you are doing AYCE you adjust the sushi, but I wasn't and I feel like i got smaller pieces than I should have.

My daughter and I just left and we're pleasantly surprised by some of it and thought other things could be better. The silverware (at least mine) was spotty and I had to wipe it off. We started out with edamame which was great. (We ate all of it.) I ordered sushi and Olivia ordered chicken pad Thai and we both shared with each other. My first sushi bite was great. They were big pieces and it wasn't all rice. It tasted pretty good. (Not the best spicy tuna I've ever had but it wasn't the worst either.) I ordered 2 rolls and that was plenty. I didn't even finish half of it. They have a special of all you can eat sushi for like $23 or something but we didn't get that because there is no need. I tried Olivia's Pad Thai and it wasn't that great. It was lacking chicken, nuts, veggies, etc. It tasted like a big bowl of noodles, and if you go to a place that specializes in pad Thai it's usually way better. Our server was nice and helpful. She gave us her recommendations and we started with Miso soup which was really good. When we finished the bill was on the low side of $30 so it was more than reasonable. When talking to Olivia about it we both agreed that we eventually would come here again but since we're new to Lancaster we'll explore other places first before coming again. It's not a bad place at all.

DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY!! Their sushi rolls a very large and they are delicious! The only thing I had here that was not good was the clear soup, other than that, everything else was amazing!

Arrived here on a Friday, around 7pm after about an hour drive, there were maybe 5 tables that were seated, place semed not that busy. A young fella told us that there would be a wait, when we asked how long, the lady (making the sushi, seemed to be the boss) totally yelled, not happy to see us the least bit, even the young fella seemed embarrased. Well, we were told that they could not say how long the wait would be. Knowing the closing time and not being told about the wait, we went to Manor buffet. Very unlikely chance we will go back.

I look forward eating here every time I visit home and I'm not even a sushi eater. The plates and portions are huge so I end up sharing that with a friend while my boyfriend gets the AYCE sushi. It's fresh and delicious. The stage are so sweet and very clean bathrooms, eating after and outside area.

Did the ayce sushi option. Ordered some appetizers and sushi rolls. Appetizers were okay, got the shrimp tempura and it was really oily and not much shrimp, but a lot of batter. Sushi arrived, we ordered several rolls. All had the same consistency such as very soft sushi rice almost mushy?! Rolls were huge and rolled with lots of rice, we had to remove some of the rice to make it more one bite size. Also the ginger for the sushi tasted old. For dessert we got ice cream. Let's just say there was alot of ice chips in my ice cream. However, staff was fairly good.

Good food and good service and nice quiet place for dinner food was very fresh we'll get that spicy chicken from here again

Looks like a fancy white fish roll, right? Don't worry - it's just rice and sauces!!

The doubles? Exceptional. Soft, perfectly filled, and full of flavor. And the hot pepper sauce? Whew. It didn't just add heat, it elevated an already outstanding dish to another level. I ordered so many doubles I barely had room for anything else but I had to try the dhal and it was exactly what I needed. Comforting, rich, and done right. Everything tasted like true, authentic Trini food, the kind that makes you feel warm, satisfied, and already thinking about your next visit. I was literally craving it every single day for the rest of my Lancaster trip. The space itself is on the smaller side, but really cute and inviting. The service was great: friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience complete. Whether you're new to Trini food or already know what's up, Calaloo will not disappoint. Trust me, you'll be planning your next visit before you even leave.

Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, clean, and thoughtfully designed. It feels upscale without being stuffy, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting from the moment you walk in. We started with the crab rangoons and then ordered five sushi rolls: the Creamy & Crispy Roll, Crunchy Crab Roll, Black Dragon Roll, Hawaii Roll, and the Volcano Roll with spicy tuna. Every single roll was fantastic. Not "some were better than others" fantastic. Not "we found a favorite and tolerated the rest" fantastic. We genuinely loved every roll that came to the table. The Volcano Roll with spicy tuna was my personal favorite and an easy 10/10, but honestly there wasn't a single thing we ordered that we wouldn't get again. The presentation deserves its own mention. The rolls were beautifully plated, complete with gorgeous edible flowers and thoughtful garnishes that made everything look almost too pretty to eat. Service was excellent. The food came out surprisingly quickly, but not all at once. Instead, the rolls arrived in small groups, which actually made the experience even better because we could enjoy each one before the next arrived. For two people, five specialty rolls and crab rangoons came to about $80, which is completely reasonable and honestly pretty standard for quality sushi. We will absolutely be back, and we've already started recommending Hills to Sea to friends and family. If you're a sushi lover in Lancaster County, put this place on your list immediately.

Although she did…read morecheck-in with us regarding our appetizer, she was too preoccupied to check-in regarding our entree, due to her being the only staff in the dining area catering to 4 different tables; understandable but didn't leave us the opportunity to address our issues with the entree (which will be highlighted below) until we paid for our bill and came across someone else by happenstance. The aesthetics were elegant and on the dimmer side, especially if you're seating at the corner tables away from the light, we recommend sitting closer to the light or by the entrance if there's still light out. We really loved the crab croquettes appetizer, which had a perfectly crispy exterior that complimented perfectly with the moist interior mixture of potato and crab that paired very well with the aioli. The crispy potato that accompanied the NY strip was perfectly balanced as well, with the crispiest exterior that I ever had with a potato dish! Unfortunately that was the highlight to the entire dish, for the strip was extremely lean without any fat or marbling to help balance out the leanness of the steak (which is evident in the attached photos below). Usually a NY strip, even if grass fed, would still have a strip of fat on the outer layer, but ours did not have any at all, which you can see from all slices we've made. We weren't hoping for ribeye-quality fats at all, but just one that wasn't completely lean. The creamed spinach was also quite bitter and watery, which definitely diluted its creaminess unfortunately; you can see from the photo the wateriness in the creamed spinach where the cream began separating. We love their menu and the restaurant's elegant vibe, as well as how beautifully the food was presented, but unfortunately we were left disappointed by our main entree. I highly recommend their crab croquettes so please give that a try if you can, I promise you won't regret it! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:

Noodle Shack is located in a shopping center so there is ample parking available. During my first visit, I had the pleasure to try takoyaki for the first time. These soft, pillowy octopus fritters garnished with sauce and bonito flakes that danced as they reacted to the heat we're as exciting to try as they were delicious. Upon entry today I was quickly seated and was one of two occupied tables in the dining room. The waiter came over and took my order of Zhanjiangmian. My previewed the menu online beforehand so I already knew what I was going to order. The interior of the restaurant is spacious, clean and cozy. Not long after I place my order I got my food. Zhanjiang is a fermented soybean paste and to make the dish pork and mushrooms are added to make the sauce. To my delight, I was welcomed with a warm and savory noodle dish packed with umami that just seemed perfect for this cold weather. The dish itself does not come spicy so I requested a side of chili oil which I used had some heat and this just amplified how tasty this dish was. I was pleased with my order and would definitely eat this dish again. My only complaint about today's experience, which is a pet peeve of mine, is when the server places the check on the table before I am finished eating. Fortunately, most establishments don't follow this protocol. And although it is my only complaint I do not feel this would prevent me from going back try more of their menu.
