Seafood boil with shrimp, mussels and noodles in the bag
    Cam A.

Very chill crab boil spot : Food tasted delicious I would say I wish they used a bit more fresh garlic and not just powders but the flavors are definitely there The boil bag took about 15 mins to arrive with wasn't bad for what I ordered 1/2 lb shrimp head off , 1/2 lb mussels and noodles on the bag . The drink was strong yet sweet and a great addition to the meal

I am a huge seafood boil lover and once captain Loui opened in Queens- I knew I had to check it out! I've dined at the South Ozone location atleast 5 times since they opened and never had a bad experience. I've even ordered delivery and the food quality remained high. The servers were always polite, accommodating, and made me feel very welcomed + did I mention the food is good?! The restaurant has the expected look of a seafood boil restaurant- food pictures on the wall, fishing gears etc music is usually moderately low and adds to the ambience Food: I typically opt for the lemon pepper fries, lobster roll, whole Dungeness crab with shrimp head on, corn & rice ( sausage too if it's pay day lol) Currently no happy hour at this location and no outdoor seating. Reservations can be made but I've never had an issue with walking in My only feedback: the cocktail menu needs some work. The Caprisun drinks are a cool concept but the drinks are either lacking flavor, lacking alcohol or both. Other than that, looking forward to returning!

Came here just for drinks, took a little long to serve us although the place wasn't crowded. Seafood smelled good but I don't have an opinion on it because we literally just came for the adult capri sun pouches. The place itself is clean with good lightening. Although they took a little long, it wasn't enough to make me not wanna come back. I'll still come back to try the food.

Flavor down to every last drop! Customer device on point and music is pretty good too. The seafood oil and garlic noodles are to die for! Visit soon.

Dined here with my sister and was seated right away. We ordered 2lbs of seafood boil with potatoes and corn and it was about $36 with corn and potatoes and an extra side. We got the Cap't Loui sauce at medium and it was just the right amount of saltiness. Staff was very friendly too and service was quick.

Seafood boil was really good. The drinks come in this makeshift caprisun which is cute. The service was beyond amazing. They're very attentive to their customers. I will definitely be back

And every time I pull up, I can't help but sing "Money Bag" by Cardi B because I know someone at the table is ordering the Divino pasta. This time it was me, and it slaps every time. Mushrooms, chicken and moneybag pasta in a creamy, marsalaish sauce. Chef's kiss. Baked clams also hit hard, but you have too if you have Lenny's down the block and you want to measure up. But I have to say, what really takes the cake (quite literally) is the rainbow cookie cake. Now, I'm like the worst Italian American because I don't really care for rainbow cookies. This cake was so delicious I could have had the whole slice too myself and not be mad about it. I was shocked at how I overlooked the almond flavor because other components of the cake were that outstanding. Please someone tell me they make it in house, and if not tell me where to find it. Divino's gives classic Italian/pizzeria vibes. They have an event space that maybe I'll get my hands on one day, maybe for Bubs birthday.

There are lots of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This diner offered a discount for paying by cash. I ordered a breakfast of 2 eggs, ham and hash brown with rye bread. This diner was very big and busy, it was also clean. The bathroom was also clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely return and highly recommend. There's also parking available.

The sausage tasted stale, the egg portion was quite small, and the pancakes were a bit tough to cut through. The French toast was good and was probably the highlight of the meal. I also ordered the pancakes with Nutella, but they were very bland. Instead of simply drizzling Nutella on top in circles, it would have been much better if the Nutella had been incorporated into the pancakes themselves for more flavor. The service was decent, but I had to repeatedly ask for coffee refills, which was disappointing. Another concern was that the diner does not provide plastic utensils, nor do they offer hot water to sanitize the silverware if requested. The ambiance can also be an issue depending on where you are seated. The restaurant was very loud, and the tables are placed very close together, causing customers to frequently bump into chairs while moving around. Overall, my experience was satisfactory, but there is definitely room for improvement in both the food quality and dining experience.

It was a…read moreSaturday around 10 p.m., and finding an open place to eat at that hour was not easy, so this felt like a practical option on the way home. I live in New Jersey, and I knew that if I didn't eat somewhere near the airport, I was probably not going to eat at all that night. We ordered papa a la huancaína, a tamal, and leche de tigre, and the total came to about $48, which Its affordable by the area standards. Peruvian food is not necessarily cheap, so my issue was not mainly the price. My issue was the quality and the care behind the food. Its important to note here I am Peruvian, so I say this with real knowledge of the cuisine and with disappointment, not malice. The papa a la huancaína came with about four or five potato pieces, half an egg, one lettuce leaf, and no olive. Quantity-wise, the potatoes were fine, but the sauce told the whole story. It barely tasted like ají amarillo, and the flavor felt muted and commercial, like it was made more for cost control than for enjoyment. Huancaína sauce should have character, richness, and that unmistakable Peruvian flavor. This one felt flat. The tamal was decent in flavor, so I will give credit there, but it had only one slice of pork, no egg, and very little ají. It was a good size, but still did not feel worth the price. Again, it felt like the ingredients were being stretched too far. The most disappointing item was the leche de tigre. This is a dish that deserves much more respect because for many people, ceviche and related dishes are among the most recognized parts of Peruvian cuisine. This preparation did not feel delicate or authentic. It tasted like corners were cut. As someone who knows Peruvian food and has worked in restaurants before, I understand that using enough lime to properly prepare fish is expensive in the U.S. But that is exactly the point: if you are going to serve this dish, then do it right. If not, don't present it as something special. $21 for this? Honestly, I felt CHEATED. What frustrated me most is that this restaurant clearly has potential. The decor is nice, ready for selfies and Instagram pictures; you can tell effort was put into the presentation of the space. But to me, it felt like more attention went into ambiance than into the food itself. My impression was that the restaurant is aimed more at people who are not very familiar with Peruvian food and may accept a more mediocre version of it. For someone who truly knows and loves Peruvian cuisine, this was disappointing. I've had much better Peruvian food in less polished places in New Jersey, especially in Paterson. The decor at Mixtura may be prettier, but the food I had there was, at best, low-end mediocre. I ate it because I was hungry and it was late, and I appreciate that they were open when I needed a meal. But I would not go back, even in the same situation again. If you are Peruvian or very familiar with authentic Peruvian food, this may not be the place for you. If you are simply craving something nearby and are not especially focused on authenticity or quality, then maybe it will work for you. But for me, this is a one-time visit only. Sorry, its a NO-GO for a second visit.
